I think it’s the proper thread to definitely say that after 3 weeks of repeated listening sessions “Amends” is still blowing my fucking mind. Love every song, now the old versions have bodies and shapes they didn’t have on No sun today and Wake me. Amazing, can’t wait for another record with Spin, Hole, Believe me, Starting to Fly, Anything anything and the others left

Wow Amends versions of these songs blow the originals out of the water IMO.

Ok I’ll stop making jokes about Mike and his awesome groundbreaking music, I’ll make Amends, just give me a second chance lol 😂 Anyway, I Never attacked Dropped Frames, just said that I’m not huge on it, but I listen to some tracks from time to time.

Ok thank you 😊 Anyway, I totally understand Mike’s answer and think it’s 100% genuine and agree on what you guys said about Amends being very dark lyrically (many songs specifically talking about pain and death like JLH, In Time Sometimes and Morei Sky). The thing I don’t understand and bothers me a bit is the question by the interviewer, like oh yeah I’m shocked by the fact that Mike is not involved in something he’s never been part of, like ... lol

I gave it a spin, it's background music, I guess it's great if you're like drawing or dunno, painting or even relaxing. Very reminiscent of some videogame soundtracks

As I said in the shout box, this is the reaction I expected from Mike. It wouldn’t be easy for him to listen to Chester’s voice for long. Also, Amends is very personal lyrically, like ETR or Halfway Right or In Pieces. Basically every song cuts deep into Chester’s life and feelings. yeah is a very sad record, especially cause some songs even have hope for something good to come, and now that he’s gone it’s even more sad (best examples being Morei Sky and Sometimes).

Yay new Blackbear. He said the album is gonna be similar to ANONYMOUS in the style, sooo I’m happy 😊 curious to hear the song produced (or co-written) By Mike

I never said TRT is garbage, I said that I’ve heard the album when I found it out and it was not for me so I don’t find it replayable. PT is really different and I enjoy it more but I have my gripes to it. That’s ll, it’s not that I said “I never heard half of TRT but It’s garbage” I didn't want to say this but I've seen a lot of comments like "I've heard 12 seconds of that song and sounded fucking garbage" so why am I not allowed to say that I don't care much about an album that I've heard in full many years ago ?It's not that I've never heard it, it's that it was not for me and I don't listen to it since like 2008.

To me both FM and MS solo stuff Fall pretty flat. As I said, I don’ t even remember many of the songs on TRT cause I never really cared, on PT I was on board when it came out, but it hasn’t got high replay value. The only songs I consider BAD are PYW and Ghosts, some others like CAL or MUAIG are pretty meh to me. Promises and OA are really good. Oh his rapping on IOU and About You is siiiick

Yeah I want to hear Hole and also Drag, they said they did something special with that song. Also, seen what they did with Syndrome and She Shines, I can’t wait to hear Starting to Fly 😍 If you guys want I posted my review of the album in the general music section of the site;) The album debuted #9 in Germany, great

I get your perspective, and I totally accept it. I love Old GD but I always thought many (if not every) Songs needed to be refined. If you asked me like 10 years ago, I’d have loved a project like Amends ☺️😊
