Imagine being that age (I’d be 58 at that time) and listening to the first ever approach to LP by your hero who passed away more than 30 years prior ...wow bittersweet
Yeah it’s like when some of my friends say “Numb is the best LP song” and I act like “not even top 10, The Catalyst Figure 09 and Roads Untraveled are far superior”
just throwing titles of songs they do know 😂😂😂
TBH I don’t agree about it being bad, it’s interesting, yeah it’s clunky but interesting, very raw. I find it more interesting than many LPU demos we got in the past TBH, same for CHB. But it’s a personal point of view 🙂
I’ve never treated PB as the holy grail, never been THAT interested, but I really like it, not underwhelmed at all, strong for being a demo, but Could have been is as good if not better, not to talk about Stick n Move
To me everything sounds better on the HT20 version with Chester. I remember hearing the other in august and thinking it sounded really bad and clunky. The Chester version is very rough and he sounds weird too but to me is a great improvement. Really from my personal point of view if it depended only on me this thread would not exist 😂😂 (no offence to Mark, he was crucial in forming Xero and is really good on stuff like Dialate)
“Then”, the new album by Jaime Bennington is out today on Spotify and Apple Music, it’s a mellow and chill record reminiscent of some David Bowie and even the softer tracks on the 2013 QOTSA album “...Like Clockwork”. It’s really nice to see another Bennington putting out music, especially considering he is brave enough to completely stray away from his father’s footsteps.
Give the album a spin!
