  1. Do you think the label saw a big potential in the song ? Because it’s not doing great commercially (not comparing it to LP obviously, but it did less than CAL).
  2. Yeah I remember Sean saying Chester even sang something to him on the phone Man come on, You know my thoughts about the thing, but we should really stop this especially under threads about other stuff. BUT I hope people won’t spread shit when Grey Daze puts out the new record
  3. The artsy/alternative guy forced by the evil label to put out a mediocre song (to be kind) against his will ? Nah.
  4. I totally got the vibe and feeling that Chester wanted to do something more with GD, not quoting Sean because it’s obvious that he says Chester wanted to reunite GD so he’s not a totally reliable source, but Chester himself said he wrote stuff maybe for solo projects or else. Who knows, we are not in their mind
  5. The caps lock was to make clear that thing, no sarcasm. About admitting the album was cashgrab, I already pointed out countless times that even if I don’t think it was a cash grab, I couldn’t care less as long as the music is fucking great. I’m not gonna spam again this thread with Amends, cause it’s not on topic. About GD getting back with Chester, who knows what could have happened? Maybe in 2018 Chester would have entered in studio with them after OML tour was over.
  6. Lift Off and IOU definitely, maybe Hold it Together? Always had a FM vibe to me, reminded me of Believe Me a bit. MUAIG was supposed to be on OML instead, right ?
  7. Finally someone who has a reasonable opinion. About the merch, I get what you say, many editions, but (and I don’t want to make jokes or being rude or misinterpreted) even PT had some different editions, and was never considered a cash-grab by the fans (me included, i DON’T THINK PT WAS CASHGRAB).
  8. Well I agree with you.
  9. I hope he has 10 songs better than HE and drops a surprise album.
  10. Promoting like hell a song that, as of what he himself said, didn’t even want to put out
  11. I have nothing against this Mike project, I don’t have any interest but nothing against it, he does this artsy thing and If he’s happy I’m super fine. But the cash grab bullshit with GD not again please. Peace.
  12. Yeah I didn’t “recognize” it until you said it now, but my fav part in “Fine” is the 2nd verse, the synth is really cool, that song is by far one of my fav things Mike has done as a solo artist/Fort Minor
  13. That would be really super dope. The songs you mentioned, especially “Fine”, had a NIN/Reznor &Atticus Ross attitude and vibe and it’d be really something interesting to look forward
  14. Yeah. I mean HR is not on the level of STP classics obviously, but I think Same on the Inside and Tomorrow are really good songs and the rest of the EP is good too.
  15. I’d love to hear more.
  16. I would throw Tomorrow in the set list but dope shit. A little 10 years anniversary box set of High Rise would be great (and not that far in time, considering it dropped in 2013). Couldn’t wait for a HQ live show of CheSTP ❤️
  17. Parents annoyed by our favorite songs is a classic. My father is not a music enthusiast but I think he would recognize The Catalyst from a 5 seconds snippet due to his overexposure to the song lol.
  18. The songs I still enjoy sonic wise from PT are the ones you mentioned plus WAIF due to the flow of the rapping and also About You for the same reason (plus the inclusion of Blackbear).
  19. Yeah I see them experimenting with some tracks but also make something they can pull off live wise. Mainly because if they go on as a 5 piece Mike can’t double himself being “Chester and Mike” in one basically.
  20. I really don’t know. Yeah it’s a great topic. As I said before, personally speaking,I’d love him to experiment with sounds and voice. I think (so maybe somebody will stop thinking I hate Mike no matter what he does) stuff like IOU or even It goes through are really really cool but even the Blackbear-infused pop of Sorry For now is great. Experimenting in those directions would be really good for me.
  21. Same here. I don’t see them coming back with something that sounds too similar to the past releases. A LP8 would basically be a “”rebirth”” after the trauma and the obvious period of hiatus so I’d expect something different from, say, OML.
  22. The non fans. I mean SOME songs are a tiny little cringy like I said but as much as I’m not a 15 y.o. kid who thinks that In the End is the best song ever made in history I don’t cringe at HT/M I can listen to both records enjoying them (with little few exceptions)
  23. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
  24. Yeah they’re not, but in fact I don’t wish he would make HT/Meteora part 3.0 in 2021, it’d be so out of place and time. 😊
  25. That would be so dope. My dream is they re work Anything Anything (even tho it’s not an original song by them) and that Sean Dowdell and his friends track “God a afraid”
