I don't think all those collaborators contributed with vocals, maybe it was just writing lyrics and melody, or even working on harmony or something. Like, they played Rebellion even without Daron. But they've been leaving half of the album without playing since Living Things anyway, which is sad.

I'd also go for it, I think it's a good idea. People shouldn't think they will go "full pop" or whatever, come on, it's Linkin Park, they like to mix things up. Even A thousand suns had some audible guitars, and we saw many pictures of them playing guitar in the studio this time. It's not gonna be "pop".

I'm hyped for it. Considering Kiiara's "Gold" vibe, plus Dark Crystal from LPU16, the album might come out with some of those dark sounding beats. Or maybe not, but I wanna listen to it anyway.

If they were filming a music video they might release the song directly in that way, instead of releasing the audio first and the video just months after.

I don't think it's too absurd to think of Lies Greed Misery being from 2010, we know Mike was making beats while touring late in that year, maybe he created that beat + vocal and just saved it to work later.

I would have freaked out if Dark crystal became an actual song, whether for LP or Fort minor, it's so awesome and dark, I love that ominous atmosphere. Can't say I disliked any of the demos, all were great and some of them really could have been worked out a little bit more to be included on an album.

Although they said it didn't matter, I can't help feeling curious about genre. It's surely gonna be different from The hunting party, where the songs were usually crafted from guitar riffs, and this time they spent much more time on vocals, keyboards and drums, while the guitars came quite late in the process.

I was just thinking how it could turn out for a song to have rock vocals in the verses and rapping in the chorus, the complete reverse of the classic Linkin Park formula. What kind of experimentation would you guys like to see them trying that they didn't before?

It just means they will work on keyboards, samples and drums before working on guitar and bass.

I wouldn`t get that surprised to see a single coming before June. No one knows what they are going for this time, it could be more acoustic or even minimalist oriented. But anyway, let's wait and see.

Chester has even played guitar live in quite some songs. Plus he's the composer of War(and other songs as well), which came to life through his guitar.
