He assumed people who listen to heavy music would trash this album, so yeah he did say that in other words.

Sorry for now, but I listen to tons of metal, even black and death, and I still love this album. Hardly listen to pop.

Just listened to it and I can say I love it, some songs in there are really one a kind in their discography. I don't think NCSM sounds that much like BS, and SE sounds just like what half of LT would be if they'd let the folk influence shine in more songs than COG back then. My biggest downside would be lack of creativity for the structures. It's a great album though.

Man, that's such a shitty "review" that it's even laughable The guy spent half of it just to criticize one song, and I don't agree with the Metallica reference. The only metal-esque song is NMS, and it sounds nothing like Metallica.

I don't think it's set on stone that they will only release shorter albums from now on, LT would have this same length if it wasn't for Tinfoil and they still came with THP 2 years later

While I kinda agree about most of THP songs, they figured out how to play WTCFM and Blackout, brought an electronic drum pad on tour just for W&K, rearranged the guitars in some crazy ways to play BITS and COG, bothered to mash up and rehearse Victimized/QWERTY, played In Pieces which has a much more complicated solo than KTTK or AFN... yet couldn't play Powerless, RU or IBG for even one leg of the tour. I'm not yelling at you nor angry at the band, just trying to use different perspectives, it really is all good.

I think all this pride has to do with how every song in this album(except for GG I guess) came from real and emotional experiences in their lives. A lot of songs in the past came from them using a hypothetical character's point of view, not necessarily theirs. I'm in the disappointed team about the length though.

Brazil should get the same treatment as Germany, the country is huge and the fans are crazy about the band.

Compared to most of THP yes, but not to Powerless, I'll be gone, Roads untraveled, etc.

It really is unsettling how the previous 2 albums, both being heavily promoted as having "meant to be played live songs", took their whole cycles to get half of those played, and OML is already 6/10 in literally the second show of its cycle. Sure I'm happy the songs are being played, it's just kinda crazy.

Still not gonna listen to the new songs until the album comes out or leaks, but can anyone give me an insight into OML length? I'm just curious really

I just wondered if they wanted to shorten The Catalyst because of the setlist time, they could've just used the video version, it would be shorter and still wouldn't take away anything from the song structure. Much better decision in my opinion.

It's so unlikely of them to play something live before giving us the studio version, what was the last time it happened, QWERTY? Anyway, I'm waiting for the album now, just listened to the 3 officially released songs so far, even avoided the piano versions of this and OML

I loved what Chester said right before Heavy, they're aware of what they did and totally don't regret it. That's really great.

Such a nice guitar lick from Brad in the BIO's bridge and then they just do that sing-along. The show was pretty good though.

I actually think Wastelands would work pretty well as a set opener, like in that fake setlist that appeared. Just make an extended intro to it.

BID to OSC to COG experience is such an awkward sequence. Some of the changes so far were very cool though

I'm sure this was a lot of fun to record and edit. They said many times the video would be silly and focused on comedy, so I was expecting it, although the visual effects caught me off-guard after Heavy getting a more realistic video. By the way, I guess it was the first time Chester appeared with that specific mohawk in a video, but I could be wrong
