All I'm trying to figure out is if the mistake is that chirp, how in all that time did no one notice?

On the drum track for BTH, there's a chirp /beep sound around the third beat of almost every measure. I've read in a few places, the most recent in a post by Astat, that tge glitch wasn't noticed until after mixing but miraculously was in time. But it's in the 2002 demo too.

Just gonna bring this back up since no one answered.

But couldn't that be said for every single in theory? I'm not trying to refute your point, but all the individual singles are meant to promote the album as a whole, are they not? It's promoting songs from the album in order to get some attention to the album the single came from, right? Does that makes sense or am I just blathering again?

Omfg I'd love to have a Papercut multitrack. I never get enough of the synth lines in that song, and hearing them isolated might give me a complete eargasm. Yes, please. Everyone vote like crazy for Papercut.

But that's not my argument. That's why this has dragged on for so long. Because no one has acknowledged that I've not said once that With You is a promo single, nor did I even say what I thought what a promo single is. I said it's illogical to say it can't be. Cut and dry. That's what frustrates me so. I go back to Pokeball now, thank you.

The statement was "there's no promotion cd out there. so this means it was never a promotional single...". Simply put, it's a good old-fashioned "You can't prove it, therefore I am right" argument. Argumentum ad ignorantiam. LP says they had a song called Pictureboard, but we've never seen it. We cannot prove its existence, therefore LP is mistaken! The song does not exist! It comes off as elitist and condescending. Let me make this clear. My point is not that With You is a promo single. That's only a side thing I'm trying to figure out. The point is, you can't say IT DOES NOT EXIST, simply because no one can PROVE it exists.

Apparently, if it gets put with another song, it's not a promo... :/ It's like talking to an abuser of logical fallacies.

You could say that about literally any promo single. Lying From You was only released to radios to promote Meteora, please remove it from the list!
