  1. Yeah, that would make sense. One of the guitar parts is even sampled in the song itself, in the second verse, if the Stagelight samples are any indicator of what was sampled.
  2. In its time it was well-known. Casuals who go to Linkin Park concerts, which is a majority of people, won't know Given Up. They'll know Numb, In the End, What I've Done, Burn it Down, New Divide, and maybe Iridescent and Bleed it Out. But not Given Up.
  3. I wonder how Brad is gonna do with the War solo. Still say Keys would be a better choice than the old and not well-known Given Up.
  4. Your screams are amazing bro. You're awesome.
  5. This is a random question regarding the sounds in two songs: Does anyone know if the intro to In My Remains is scratched (before the keyboard part comes in)? Been told so. Does the end of Mark the Graves during the interlude sound like scratching to anyone? I didn't think so at first but there's one sound that sounds particularly turntable-like. This one is pretty unlikely but it's still something.
  6. The heck. Nobody knew there were strings on I'll Be Gone? I knew that from the first listen. But the strings part is so insignificant that David Campbell could have just done it and it would just sound exactly the same.
  7. Let us have a cookie-Wobbuffet alliance.

  8. She Couldn't is R&B. Holy shit. Let's have an album with songs like She Couldn't. YES.
  9. They could have just gone with David Campbell again and it would probably sound just the same since the strings were so buried.
  10. I KNEW those were scratches in Lost in the Echo. I love being right.

  11. I do instrumental covers, I have a thread over in the Gallery. I'm currently working on completing all of Meteora. I'm just about halfway, having finished recording me smashing things with a baseball bat in imitation of Foreword, but I'm taking a break for original stuff currently.
  12. If the band still wants to be experimental, it's my wish that they use a slew of weird and quirky ethnic instruments. Pull out a djembe or a didgeridoo, it'd be awesome.
  13. Can we discuss what we would want on it as well? EDIT: Guess I'll do it anyway.
  14. Wobbuffet is in my avatar. I'm now hijacking this thread for the discussion of Wobbuffet XD
  15. You can't do anything about it? They can just swoop in and take your hard work and reap the benefits? Imagine if someone took your tabs and made a tab book out of them. Make people pay for tabs that are on the Internet for free. That's ridiculous.
  16. But the logic behind that decision is pretty clear. A good chunk of new bass players aren't gonna go and buy a 5-string. And a good chunk of those new players are probably gonna have 4-string Fenders. That means they just can't play In the End. Just elaborating. I don't need no snacks from you. Apparently if I click the edit button and make 0 changes it'll still say I edited lol.
  17. I make my dramatic entrance here and I'm now the "Wobbuffet guy". Lol. If you ask me, if this is for starter/learning guitar players, Linkin Park is one of the last artists you'd wanna learn. Yes, they've progressed on the guitar, but most of their hits are so simplistic that I could teach a friend to play them in a month. That's not to insult the guitar, it's just to understate how simple it is. And if you ask me, the simpler things are, the easier they are to screw up without noticing. I know it took a long time to break me out of my old habits because I jumped right into LP and other power chord-heavy bands. I literally could do nothing else but power chords and slow melodies. Skipped all the other kinds of chords, picking technique, dead notes, and abandoned all the music theory I learned on the piano for 8 years. It was really sloppy. I had to go back and relearn everything. But it really didn't require much discipline to play LP songs. Just power chords galore. I didn't even know how to do alternate strumming to play No More Sorrow. /end rant
  18. In the End insanely easy? What about Numb lol. Just power chords and then two notes. If they want to put a worthwhile song that's not too difficult, they should go with TLTGYA. Lots different chords that aren't your standard power chord and a nice, easy solo as well. I know I felt accomplished when I learned to play that song.
  19. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BWbH3Y-QYTA Well this guy's playing What I've Done, so something is messed up here.
  20. http://www.theriffrepeater.com/rocksmith-2014-dlc-for-16-linkin-park-six-pack-guilty-all-the-same/ Um, it is?
