NickDuffy
If Linkin Park's 5th album went back to their old style (hip hop/rock/electronica 3 minute basic songs) how would you react? I would be slightly upset with a move like that. The band is really excited on moving forward, so I would be confused and upset with their choice of going backwards. Geki
I'd probably love it for a few days. But then I'd realize what they had done, and probably no longer listen to the album. LP can't go back, it's too late for that now. LOL.
avo17
I'd only listen to MTM and ATS, and never follow the band again.. unless they turned back.
Sucre06
This will not happen, I assure you guys. If going to happen, I'll just be happy to hear old school Linkin Park.
LinkinMark
I can only imagine them branching out even more! That's what I love about them, they're quite unpredictable. We have no idea what the next album will sound like and that is all part of the fun to me
spraypaintninkpens
Or how about they went back to rock and hip hop but expanded upon the 3 minute song and verse formula and made something truly experimental. I just think they excel in the rock/hip hop category not the pop/ballard one. It's like they're the jack of all genres (now), master of none. leftshoe18
I would probably be upset unless they had a really good reason and it sounded different than before. Like maybe they could do a rap-rock album with more of a classic rock approach with Fort Minor style rapping instead of Mike's simplified rapping over alternative rock music like the first two albums. BrandonR24
I'll probably get hate, but I'd love it. Especially if it was done right, like what leftshoe said some more complex rapping by Mike, FM Style. Would be pretty sick.
Pez
If they did Id be extremely disappointed. You cant really say "Were going in a new direction" lala and then all of a sudden do a massive U-Turn and go back to the old you. But IMO and what I read (eg Chesters Nu-Metal comment on LPU chat) is theres no chance of that happening anytime soon.
Mr X
I think that it would be hilarious

MONDREUS240
I would be extremely disappointed, and I would also lose some respect for the band.
RiderSSPU
I would love it. FearOfTheDuck
That'd be my reaction. I'd be somewhat disappointed, though I'm sure I'd still enjoy the album.
