RogueSoul Posted June 12 Posted June 12 As the Download festival in England opens its doors for the first time this weekend and Linkin Park due to headline on Sunday, more teasers for the Unshatter Movie have gone up, and the ones at the festival are claiming that alongside the film, there will be a film soundtrack featuring the Live In São Paulo audio! It looks like instead of releasing a live DVD of the 2024 show as originally planned, the show will be converted into a live album with music being used in the documentary. No word on if this component of the release will have any visual aspect beyond clips in the documentary or on any release dates yet. Quote

That way, we don't have to worry about the LP Live team having to track it down 20 years from now. 😂 Personally, I have a few reservations about this show, even though I enjoyed it a lot on the day, but it's undoubtedly a historic performance. Pretty sure that someone in the fan base can replace the audio of the Multishow video with the new Unshatter Soundtrack and that would be the best version of the show. I dont think that they Will release the full.show and for sure they are going to create a music video for Unshatter. Wish the film had another title Linkin Park LET YOU FADE Film. That song its pretty fucking emotional and sounds like Meteora its the best FZ song, Unshatter its not a bad song but its just a decent song it doesn't even sounds like a real song the quality of it its similar to a demo. While I agree Emily is more confortable in newer shows, this one from São Paulo is important because of the context: Linkin Park were on hiatus for 7 years because of a tragic loss Dave has said in interviews they had multiple questions: Do we want to play live again? If yes, do we want to play the old songs? Are we still called Linkin Park? Do we release a new album? Do we tour? Mike has said he didn't even know if people were still interested in them! With all that said, São Paulo N1 is the album release party, which marks all those things becoming true with 45.000 screaming fans (myself included). PS: Gladly we still have 3 proshots to enjoy 2025/2026 shows Quote

I think they'll use the best performances from the two days. They definitely won't release everything they played over the two days, because due to rotation, it would be over 30 songs. I think they'll trim it down to about 20. They probably also removed the intros to the acts. Maybe with the exception of the intros to the entire concert and the encore. Unless it's actually two albums, then they'll be able to release everything. That would be something. POA, LFY, Friendly Fire, My December, LITE and APFMH Edited June 13 by MMM Quote

I talked with Adam before the second show in São Paulo, and he assured me that they were not recording the second night. That's curious, because they wore the exact same outfits as they did the previous night, which doesn't really make sense if they weren't filming. That said, some filming equipment was indeed absent on the second day, such as the drone, for example. Quote

It's probably 16 songs or so from the weekend (mostly hits / new songs) and edited very well. We will get plenty of live releases over time. Let's get 2024 first before we move to 2025-2026; the world tour isn't even over yet. And LP is posting great stuff on YouTube that we have too like Stained, Up From the Bottom, etc. Looking forward to the first official live release of the new era - we've only been asking for it for a year and a half. She does that all the time with other songs and it's quite frankly annoying because you want to hear the song in FULL performance. Do you think they will mix with studio version on top of it? Quote

I have the theory it was included as a "proof of concept": If the mix is ok, if fans like it, also for them as a guidelines about how they mixed the recording year and a half ago, like "oh yeah, we did it this way" Quote
