I don't see a problem with the band making these old shows available on a streaming page for purchase. At least from 2000-2004, since we already had the HT20 and M20 box sets. Thousands of fans would love to see shows like that. Who here wouldn't pay $20 to $30 to watch a never-before-seen proshot? Imagine a show from Reading 2003, Rock in Park 2001, Download Festival 2004, Dragon Festival 2001, Docklands 2001 (Master Tape), Detroit Theatre 2003, etc... These are just a few examples. I would pay to watch them. Here's a quick and simple calculation: if each show were sold for $20, and I'm making a quick calculation that only 5,000 people in the world buy just one show, that would be a return of $100,000 for just one show that's sitting unused in the band's coffers. I know the band is a millionaire and is looking at a new phase. But hey, this is so simple to do, and hundreds, thousands of fans, even those who like the new phase, would certainly be very happy and would pay to watch these shows. Another detail: I'm almost certain the band already has their shows digitized. I would buy them all. The 2007-2012 shows from what I recall were free if you attended them by giving you a code. I think that was the only way to get them legally (it's been almost 13 years since the last one in South Africa, my memory is fuzzy). I do remember some shows/songs not being available due to legal or other issues, especially Wisdom, Justice & Love which included a MLK sample. Not a lawyer by any stretch of the imagination but there's multiple layers of reasons preventing from that to ever happen, sadly. We're all blessed with these Pinkpop perfomances, even if some ended up being incomplete (sigh). I fucking wish the Download or Rock am Ring YT page would dare to do something similar out of nowhere, but.. 😟 1 hour ago, Cesar656 said: Bit selfish ngl Same 'selfish' dude who filmed the Lockout video with the band? Not implying Felipe owns the footage like that guy named Marc, of course he doesn't, but he has worked his ass off for over 20 years asking and begging for those tapes, the selfish ones are some of those original owners who probably and realistically would not lose any credibility or their jobs if they were going to give it away, especially the big shows. If he wants money for them then i dont see why the band shouldnt profit of it as well Quote

thigolpbr Posted Sunday at 12:38 AM Posted Sunday at 12:38 AM I just watched it. What an incredible show! I never imagined a show from 2012 would have this kind of energy. The band was impeccable, "A Place for Me" was incredible. It's great that we can now enjoy another show. Quote
Leethelemur Posted Sunday at 01:07 AM Posted Sunday at 01:07 AM What a great show!!! That opening trio of APFMH, Given Up and Faint is CRAZY!!!! (wish I was an LP fan back in this age seems like the band was still doing great before starting to go downhill around THP/OML) Quote

If he wants money for them then i dont see why the band shouldnt profit of it as well Feel free to sit in front of a computer for 20 years, reach out to filmers and big companies, convince them to work with you somehow, and then release everything to the public while risking a big lawyer landing in your inbox. The material in my vault will come out at the right time — when I decide to release it — and there’s nothing you can do or say to speed up that process. And no, I don’t want your money. Although my friends and I have spent over $30,000 USD so far to obtain the tapes you want for free. As for what Pinkpop has been doing… it’s incredible. Memorable. And I highly doubt other festivals will follow the same model. Download, Summer Sonic, Reading — they’re too big and have too many broadcast deals involved. Pinkpop had a standing agreement with NTR, who filmed everything from the beginning. When you produce a concert and sell the image rights to a company like the BBC (just as an example - and some festivals need that kind of deals to payoff the event costs lol), after that they must negotiate again with Warner and LP, pay even more money, and decide which songs can or cannot be released. And when I say “a deal,” I’m talking about 1M+ USD, not 10k. I learned that the hard way, and now I fully understand why we don’t get full shows sometimes. Labels still have the power to block streams depending on their marketing strategy. I don’t think we’ll see another festival creating a channel like that. They lost ownership of their footage long ago when they sold the rights to big broadcasters. I reached out to GLOBO, the owner of the LP SWU 2010 rights. They broadcast only a few songs, but they have the full show. I also spoke with the festival owner, and he told me: “There’s nothing I can do. I sold the rights to GLOBO.” If he breaks that contract, we’re talking about a million-dollar fine. lol. So yeah those shit are SO complex and if any proshot shows up, just watch, enjoy and be grateful. This does include the 2024-2026 ones Edited Sunday at 06:50 AM by felipeintheend Quote
JZLP-Benningstrong Posted Sunday at 06:59 AM Posted Sunday at 06:59 AM I'm having a blast w this show I didn't actually remember the setlist for this one, badass killer set. LT era for sure its one of their best versions of the live band probably it's a tie w the MTM era but it's definitely up there. 1 Meteora 2 HT 3 LT MTM 4 ATS 5 FZ 6 THP 7 OML Such a sick show fantastic setlist super strong band. maro_12 Posted Sunday at 09:28 AM Posted Sunday at 09:28 AM I also mixed SBD with the video, but I edited audio and left the blooper in Catalyst Quote

LPLStaff Posted Monday at 05:23 PM Author Posted Monday at 05:23 PM Watched this show yesterday. Have a LOT to say - first of all, this is an insanely good performance. Remember this is the THIRD show of the entire touring cycle and the SECOND in Europe. That is crazy they were performing this good with a brand new setlist already. There is true magic with the OG 6. The band started so hard on the LT tour and then for the U.S. tour, while the setlists were GREAT overall, they really sadly fucked us a bit with the songs. I really wanted to see Runaway and From the Inside. This core set from Pinkpop should have been played exactly like this in the U.S. - it still bothers me they didn't keep this set. Anyway, about the show. The start is pretty incredible because they run through all these heavy songs for half an hour and just crush them. The crowd is really into it, Chester is blowing up, and Rob is rocking so hard he has to take his glasses off. God damnit APFMH into Given Up into Faint into With You, Runaway, From the Inside, and Somewhere I Belong is just insane! If APFMH didn't kill you, then Faint in the 3 spot would destroy someone in the pit. lol. Brad's guitar on With You just sounds heavy and dirty, in a good way. What a gift this is for fans. We take it for granted at the time this is happening because it's just another show, just the same set, etc. But damn this show rocks it big time. I remember this show, I remember Lisbon the show before it, this whole tour had tremendous shows. And can you believe they didn't even play the UK in 2012?! There were *entire tours* proposed for LIVING THINGS in 2012-2013 that did not happen for some reason - unsure if band politics/internal stuff, or offers, or more, but what a SHAME because that era was epic for them on stage. They roll like 14 singles in a row to end the show but hey who is complaining with that? They are in great form, the crowd loves it, they are having a blast. Banger after banger, could you imagine seeing them at this show? You get like every major LP song in one set you've ever liked, with maybe Lying From You as literally the only exception. But you get some Hybrid Theory deep cuts instead. Badass. Mike told me that summer at a M&G they deliberately wanted to play more old songs that year for fans and he hoped they enjoyed them, I said YES we love that shit of course. To many this is just another show, but think about it like this - you could have seriously released a show like this as something significant (a live DVD) if you are Linkin Park and it'd be one of your most legendary/well-known shows ever. What we all would do to see the OG 6 perform one more time, with a set like this... wow. Breaking the Habit in the beautiful sunset gives off huge TLTGYA vibes from the Road to Revolution DVD... just epic. You can hear the crowd roaring the BTH chorus... look at the emotion coming from the band, Chester is wearing his heart on his sleeve on the bridge with his gestures, Mike is jamming, Brad is singing, Phoenix has his hand in the air, we get one more of these epic "shake the mic" videos at the end of the song from Chester. Fuck. GREAT stuff here. Quote
