Time is counting down fast to the release of From Zero in just about a week from now, and what better what to tide over the wait than some more show coverage? Linkin Park are bringing the From Zero World Tour back to the United States for its next stop - the Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas on November 8, 2024!

The last stop of the From Zero World Tour brought the band back to France for the first time since 2017, and they certainly returned with style! The band performed in Nanterre's Paris La Défense Arena, performing a stadium-level show for the first time since 2014's Carnivores Tour stop in Tampa, Florida (where they played at a baseball stadium, similar to this event in Dallas). The band debuted their stadium rig at this show, debuting a new stage (with a typical concert layout rather than the previous 360 stage) with new production. The band brought back essentially the same set from the September leg, with the addition of the new From Zero single 'Over Each Other!' The band added the song in after Mike's solo medley mashup of 'When They Come For Me' and 'Remember The Name,' and featured Emily Armstrong on vocals AND guitar for the first time in her tenure with Linkin Park. Emily was no stranger to ripping some guitar out when previously performing with Dead Sara, so we're excited to hear what else she'll be bringing to the table as the band perform different songs! Emily and Mike shared many moments throughout the show, including a bunch of coaxing Emily to speak French to the crowd and Mike hugging her after she messed up a line at the end of 'Points Of Authority.' The band performed Set A at this show, with 'Castle Of Glass' featuring over the show's interludes and 'Lost In The Echo' in the rotation slot. 'Bleed It Out' featured verse one of 'A Place For My Head' over the extended bridge, as well.

It had been a long time since Linkin Park had been to France, but it's been even longer since they've been to Texas! Their last show in the state was in 2015, performing at the Bud Light River City Rockfest in May. This set featured a rare 'A Line In The Sand' performance fresh off its debut earlier in the month, as well as a stripped down version of their second collaboration with Steve Aoki, 'Darker Than Blood.' The extended guitar solo bridge to 'What I've Done' was longer than usual due to Chester missing his cues twice to come back in. This show was a festival performance - their last headlining show in the state was in 2014, on the aforementioned Carnivores Tour, where they made two stops: Dallas and The Woodlands that September. The band held their 11th LPU Summit at The Woodlands show, treating LPU members to a VIP experience with the band as well as an exclusive acoustic performance of 'Final Masquerade.' Needless to say, it'd been a long time coming for Linkin Park's return.

The band have never been strangers to Texas, however. The band made another two stops to the state on 2012's Honda Civic Tour, again hitting the Dallas and Woodlands combo. These shows featured some eclectic sets from the band, featuring new tracks like 'In My Remains' and 'Victimized (w/ QWERTY)' and even opening up in The Woodlands with 'A Place For My Head.' The band closed 2011's A Thousand Suns North American Tour with a pair of rescheduled dates in Dallas and Houston, after the initial pair of shows were cancelled a few weeks prior due to Chester being ill. These shows featured a wide variety of new A Thousand Suns songs like 'Burning In The Skies,' 'Waiting For The End,' and 'The Catalyst,' while still finding time to treat fans: the legendary 'A Place For My Head' verse and bridge combo for 'Bleed It Out' was born at the Houston show, where Chester sang "You will never get the best of me" for the first time during that extended bridge.

Projekt Revolution 2008 also concluded with a pair of shows in Dallas and The Woodlands, bringing fans a second wave of Minutes To Midnight nastiness with everything from 'Wake 2.0' and a new version of 'Cure For The Itch' to a Street Drum Corps intro to 'No More Sorrow' and 'Crawling' with Chris CornellProjekt Revolution 2007 was even more kind to Texas with three shows in the state: Selma, Dallas, and Woodlands. Across three consecutive nights, Texas got the full Minutes To Midnight experience as the band rocked the stage with three different setlists and loads of tracks, both new and old. The energy must've been something else - enough for Chester to pull off the full 'Given Up' scream at the Selma show - one of only three times this ever happened!

The Meteora Tour was further proof that Texas seems to be the spot to see a Linkin Park show. Projekt Revolution 2004 brought three consecutive shows (the first time they ran the Dallas, Selma, and Woodlands trio), seeing the band deliver legendary moments like the Hip-Hop Medley featuring parts of 'Step Up,' 'Nobody's Listening,' and 'It's Goin' Down,' the Blood, Anger, Suffering Outro Transition between 'Figure.09' and 'From The Inside,' and even Bert McCracken from The Used guesting on 'Faint.' And who can forget the band's most iconic Texas performances: their Summer Sanitarium shows with Metallica in 2003 in Houston and Irving, immortalized on the band's first live DVD and album, Live In Texas. These shows almost don't need an introduction, as they are amongst the top benchmark performances in all documented Linkin Park history. From the hits like 'Numb' and 'Breaking The Habit' to deeper cuts like 'P5hng Me A*wy' and 'By Myself,' these shows had everything any old-school Linkin Park fan could need.

Linkin Park frequented Texas the most in the careers during the Hybrid Theory days. The cycle's final tour, the very first Projekt Revolution in 2002, saw the band stop at Fort Worth, offering up some really rare tracks like 'And One' and a cover of Deftones' 'My Own Summer (Shove It).' Five stops were made in Texas in 2001, the last of which was in November on the Family Values Tour, featuring Stone Temple PilotsStaind, and more. The band has always loved a Texas triple-feature, and they did so on Ozzfest 2001 with shows in SelmaLubbock, and Dallas. Even earlier in 2001, the band performed at the Woodlands' Buzzfest VII festival, as well. The band's first tours ever in 2000 brought them to Texas every couple of weeks with eight total shows: one in Dallas on P.O.D.'s Kings Of The Game Tour in November, two in Dallas and Austin on the Kottonmouth Kings' Ridin' High Tour (and a possible third show in Houston that we aren't even sure occurred), and an unreal five shows (Amarillo, Dallas 1, Dallas 2Corpus Christi, and Austin) on Union Underground's An Education In Rebellion Tour. Tallying it all up, that'll make 32 (maybe 33) shows in Texas in total, with 11 (just about a third) of those being in Dallas! Will show #12 be the best yet?

Linkin Park performing 'Given Up' live in Selma, Texas on August 3, 2007. This was one of three performances ever that Chester nailed the full scream during the bridge!

What can we expect at this next show in Dallas? This will be the band's biggest show in the United States since 2014, their first in a stadium-level venue. The new production will be a first for the U.S. as well, giving fans who traveled to a show in September a new look at the set. The band will surely be playing the three released songs from From Zero: 'The Emptiness Machine,' 'Heavy Is A Crown,' and 'Over Each Other' will set the venue alight, and will be the first time the latter two have been performed in the country. It looks like the sets haven't changed significantly since September, so Set B ('Burn It Down' interludes and 'A Place For My Head') or Set C ('Iridescent' interludes and 'Keys To The Kingdom') with the addition of 'Over Each Other' seem to be next in line. The band rehearsed pretty intensely throughout October, though, so it's possible they have another surprise or two under their sleeves for these upcoming shows. Perhaps a new rotation song like 'No More Sorrow' (especially pertinent given the U.S. election results...) or 'From The Inside' will be subbed in, and with the release of From Zero on the horizon, we can't help but hope for another preview at a new song ('Casualty' and 'Overflow' seem to be two favorites by fans who have heard the album and the band) in Texas. Helmet is opening for them at this show as well - could we finally see the live debut of 'All For Nothing' with Page Hamilton this year? Will #JusticeForTheHuntingParty strike again? Hamilton performed with the band at a the Relief Live! event in 2015 and they didn't perform the song, but the band has a new mindset now. Time will tell - what would you like to see switch up in the current set?

The band has quite an arsenal of opening acts prepared for this show: Bad Omens, Helmet, and Jean Dawson will be starting the night off. Jean Dawson is an indie artist mixing elements of hip-hop and pop into his dramatic and emotional soundscapes, known for songs like 'P4IN' and 'MENTHOL*.' Linkin Park fans may be more familiar with Helmet, a staple band in the hardcore and alternative metal scene. Lead singer Page Hamilton featured on 'All For Nothing' from The Hunting Party AND has guested with the band before on other songs, so it's definitely possible we see the tour's first guest come out! Helmet are known for their songs 'Unsung,' 'Milquetoast,' and more. Bad Omens are the a part of the newest wave of bands that have broken through in the metal world, already a huge band in their own right and ready to win over more Linkin Park fans. Clearly inspired by Linkin Park in both sonic and emotional terms, Bad Omens' sound is built to pierce through their listener with soaring guitars, screams, and beautiful atmosphere in between. You can expect to hear some of their most popular songs, including 'Just Pretend' and 'THE DEATH OF PEACE AND MIND.' If you're going to the show, who are you most excited to hear?

Page Hamilton from Helmet ripping a guitar solo with Linkin Park during 'Bleed It Out' at their show for Relief Live! in Los Angeles, California on November 14, 2015. Will we see Hamilton come out with the band in Dallas?

Who'll be heading to the show? LPLive staff members Hahninator (Mark), GlassCastles (Nick), and Ben Newberry will be at the show, so be sure to say what's up if you see them! Weatherman Rogue Soul reporting a pretty wet day for the DFW area, so be prepared to get wet if you plan on waiting outside, and watch out for possible lightning! Dallas is outside the area that should be concerned about severe weather, but all the same, be weary. An official merchandise booth will be open outside of the stadium starting at 2pm, so if you want to go early and grab some merch, get it done! Linkin Park's From Zero World Tour continues next week in South America with their very first show in Colombia as well as a pair of shows in São Paulo, Brazil celebrating the release of From Zero. The band have also begun announcing festival appearances in 2025, with shows penned in for Las Vegas at Sick New World and Ohio for Sonic TempleListening parties for From Zero have started kicking up around the world, so be sure to check out our full list of them to see if one's happening near you! And if you're in Australia, Canada, or Brazil, be sure to check out the new pop-up events the band have announced for you, as well. Don't miss the second episode of the LPLive Podcast either, where we talk about our first reactions to the tour dates we went to and 'Heavy Is The Crown.'

Come on "All For Nothing", here is your chance for it to be for something.

It'd be cool, but realistically speaking, I don't think they have much flexibility to adapt the live sets, with all the production/lights stuff. So either it has been planned for long, either it's probably not happening.

On the way - looking forward to it. Didn't check the Paris set in case they changed something/anything.

Hoping they eventually start swapping more songs out - Runaway, From the Inside, A Line in the Sand, etc.

Giving All for Nothing a 1-2% chance. Seems likelier Helmet could play it with Mike rather than LP play it since Mike is already using the "production is a lot to change/work on" reasoning for not adding a lot to the set right now.

Why the production makes them unable to heavily change the setlist like in other tours?

Because they have to sync all the lights, screens and make the all the music sound good, that involves all the backing tracks and live instruments, and all of this is hard to make it right in a couple of weeks.

There's a lot going on with screens and lighting that, unless they rehearse a ton of songs and design the stage effects that go along with it, it's difficult to change up the setlist much.

So, it's kinda like a Kiss or a Rammstein show, where's there's so much stage element involved that they can't change barely anything, right?

Correct, and they also have to fit everything in the time the promoter gives to them because the curfew, you can't add a song if they exceed the scheduled time. If you watch the full recordings of this tour, all the shows are exactly around 2hours, maybe a minute above it.

and this, ladies and gentlemen, if why I pour over every single possible detail in these show posts. I can’t say I called both, but at least I mentioned the possibility of both happening :P

‘Keys To The Kingdom’ was in the encore before HITC but dropped, likely due to time. Imagine two THP songs in the set that haven’t been played before this year… maybe in South America.

what happened with the attendance?

i wad a bit worried about the sale being low.

Not sold out but around 95% were sold if I remember correctly. I followed that sale quiet closely and the closer to the show a lot of tickets were sold last minute.

i guess with a bigger supporting act, they will do that kind of tour next year. All those baseball stadiums with 30-45k capacity.

Dude it was PACKED by the time LP went on

Seems like they are ready to keep this going. Fuck yeah.

I was reading the comments from the Bad Omens fans most of them didn't like their band being the opener of LP and tons of trash talk about Emily and the new classic "this isnt LP"

I would love to see a tour with a female vocalist supporting the band Poppy would be awesome or As Everything Unfolds.
