GlassCastles Posted June 13, 2017 Posted June 13, 2017 All these OML songs and they aren't even playing the best song, It's a shame They're playing One More Light tho twice Quote
RiderSSPU Posted June 13, 2017 Posted June 13, 2017 Pretty evident that they've rehearsed the entire album. You think so? How likely is Sorry For Now on the US tour do you think? I feel like that song might be hard for Mike live Quote
hahninator Posted June 13, 2017 Author Posted June 13, 2017 Mike said he was practicing a new song that isn't even in the setlists yet. Quote
Stranger Posted June 13, 2017 Posted June 13, 2017 NCSM and Sharp Edge really good in live version. Hopefully we can get a pro-shot or SBD audio for both. I'll bet they gonna play SFN and Halfway Right in the upcoming show and voila!, they played entire album! Quote
JZLP-Benningstrong Posted June 13, 2017 Posted June 13, 2017 Is it the first time ever that only Chester & brad perform without the rest of the band? (not counting radio, intimate performances) Quote
Astat Posted June 13, 2017 Posted June 13, 2017 (edited) Sharp Edges isn't just Chester/Brad. Percussion clearly audible in the second half of the song and there's a shot of Phoenix playing bass on the big screen in the video at one point. I feel like that extended guitar duet intro to Sharp Edges is a cover of something, I swear I've heard it before. Edited June 13, 2017 by Astat Quote
FLAME-XIII Posted June 13, 2017 Posted June 13, 2017 This album is so short that it should be played in full. Quote
Chazzy Chazz Posted June 13, 2017 Posted June 13, 2017 I'm really glad they are putting it all on the setlist. One More Light deserves to be played in full. I liked 'Nobody Can Save Me' and appreciated 'Sharp Edges' more than the studio version. Quote

There's definitely some hi-hat and/or tambourine in there though. Quote
Broman Posted June 13, 2017 Posted June 13, 2017 I've seen LP perform several times so I can definitely say that I'm happy that they are actually playing a bunch of songs off of OML. Yes, you can complain about older songs getting dropped, but when you've seen the band perform for a decade or more, then you've heard it all. This is a nice change of pace. Quote
Soeffingnaive92 Posted June 13, 2017 Posted June 13, 2017 They should play the whole OML album at every show. Shitstorm on my comment in 1,2,3... Quote
mrfox Posted June 13, 2017 Posted June 13, 2017 (edited) Realy like this set, no BS and POA back. Smaller stage production without lcd screens or connected epic light effects and suddenly the setlist can be changed quite often. Now can LP play whatever they want, good goodbye same setlists Edited June 13, 2017 by mrfox Quote
Mesck547 Posted June 13, 2017 Posted June 13, 2017 (edited) I'm glad to see they're playing a lot of songs from OML, and both Sharp Edges and NCSM sound great. But I do wish they'd change the song order for this set just a bit. It shouldn't be too hard, they already had a set with a slightly different start in South America. I think they can start the show with TC/Wastelands, move Faint up to the start of the set, have BIO close the main set, and close the show with OSC without too much problems. Kilmer Posted June 13, 2017 Posted June 13, 2017 NCSM is such a fucking great song and it sounds much more solid live than BS Quote
hahninator Posted June 13, 2017 Author Posted June 13, 2017 Yeah Battle Symphony doesn't work well live. Nobody Can Save Me is pretty mellow live but is a better song. Quote
RiderSSPU Posted June 13, 2017 Posted June 13, 2017 This album is so short that it should be played in full. No album should ever be played in full unless it's a 10 year anniversary tour in my opinion. I've seen LP perform several times so I can definitely say that I'm happy that they are actually playing a bunch of songs off of OML. Yes, you can complain about older songs getting dropped, but when you've seen the band perform for a decade or more, then you've heard it all. This is a nice change of pace. I can understand this As someone who has only seen them once before and will be seeing them for the second time, I have to disagree. I'd rather them play a good mix of all the albums. Quote
Soeffingnaive92 Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 They should definitely play more ATS, LT and THP songs, but i know it s difficult to mix things. It should be 3 songs off every album and 5/6 from OML . Like : Papercut APFMH ITE, Numb, SIB/LFY, BTH, Faint, WID, LOATR, BIO, TC, WFTE, Blackout/Messenger, LITE, BID, COG remix, Wastelands, FM, Rebellion, Heavy, GG, NCSM/BS/SE, TTM, Invisible, OML. Quote
