Geki Posted October 21, 2016 Posted October 21, 2016 I got the idea for this thread over at LPA. What was the most disappointing thing that LP has ever done, in your opinion, for you? For me, it was getting rid of the DSP's. I really miss them, I loved being able to listen to shows in HQ and especially listening to the shows that I went to in HQ. They were also fun to collect and it brought the live community together in some ways. Quote
AdamArtz Posted October 21, 2016 Posted October 21, 2016 Chester: "We're going to play I'll Be Gone live in 2013." Almost in 2017, still waiting for them to debut it live. Quote
KeysToTheLinkinPark Posted October 21, 2016 Posted October 21, 2016 Even if this is a small thing, I really hated that they did not play a new song of off THP back in Europe 2014.Also, when I first saw the setlist for the January/February Tour 2015, I was like What the fuck are you guys doing. They played 7 Songs from Living Things(Until it Breaks intro and Mike, who played it at his FM Show) and 6 from THP, which is driving me nuts. Come on, do not tell us that THP is meant to be played fucking live but in the end we played 6 in the whole tour not at one single concert.... Quote

felipeintheend Posted October 22, 2016 Posted October 22, 2016 Existing. LOOL. For me It's the 'shorted songs versions'. I understand that they couldn't play the full song for some reason... I also understand that this bring the chance to hear a short version of your favorite song and that's better than not listening to anything. I just don't like these shorter versions and these 'singing verse of other song over the current one" Quote
sotrix Posted October 22, 2016 Posted October 22, 2016 The shortened songs was the first thing that came to mind. I am also disappointed by how their setlists are so Hybrid Theory focused, to this day. They have a catalog of songs that have never been played, or were in rotation for only a short period of time, that are possibly never going to be played again. Yet the same five or six songs are repeated every show. Quote
[AndOne] Posted October 22, 2016 Posted October 22, 2016 Music wise, Recharged because it lacked the effort that was brought into Reanimation Marketing wise, pretty much every shitty brand collaboration they've done in the last few years. Too many to name. So much pointless and stupid merch. Live shows, going back to 2 setlists with very little differences. Quote
LPMaskMan Posted October 22, 2016 Posted October 22, 2016 ATS and Recharged. Shortened songs. Not playing songs from Meteora, just the single/music video ones. Quote

martinez Posted October 22, 2016 Posted October 22, 2016 When the song (usually part of it) is sung in the different way or song is played in the different way (from the instrumental side) than the album version is.One of many example - When they Come For Me is one of my favorite song, but at the same time is the worst song played live by the band. Missing interesting parts of the song (instrumental parts) + playing the bass on the part of the song, where originally there is no bass in the album version (for example - 02:20-02:30). It all makes that live version in no way reflects the album quality version of the song. Quote

I never liked any of that stuff, any of the medleys or also just the way that they play some songs, that's a good point. Quote
RhinestonePT Posted October 23, 2016 Posted October 23, 2016 Shortened songs ... They should remake the setlist, could drop ballad medley and bring back some other songs from Meteora or MTM Quote
JZLP-Benningstrong Posted October 23, 2016 Posted October 23, 2016 The ballad medley used to be cool but it got old pretty fast it's kinda hard to believe that they still play it. and... skipping my country for 10 years. Quote

It was on fire during HCT and came off better on the amphitheatre stage than in arenas. The worst song played live by Linkin Park is Hit the Floor. WTCFM is fantastic to me. Quote

I think it makes it more interesting, Nine Inch Nails does a lot of their songs in different ways live. Imagine an LP concert where everything is just the same as the album - OSC, Faint, Bleed It Out, and others would all be under 3 minutes long and there would be nothing special about the songs. Quote

I like it when bands perform songs the way they are on the album. When They Come For Me wasn't a good example of that, though, which Martinez had stated. When They Come For Me is a great live song, one of the best from ATS for sure, I back Hahninator on that. And the ATS songs actually did sound better in 2012 for some reason, it was awesome. vinifeijo Posted October 24, 2016 Posted October 24, 2016 Not the most disappointing, but that GATS video partnership with project spark was a major fail. That song deserved a proper video. Quote
