The competition ends on the 30th of June. "Wavo and Ultra Music are calling upon all budding producers from all genres! Here's your chance to turn this track into your own beast of a track, so make sure it's a unique take on it! Whether it’s disco, drowned-out trap, drum and bass, or high-energy electro, whatever you want! Don’t be afraid to step outside the box. Push yourself." Prizes include an official release on Ultra Musix, a Steve Aoki merchandise pack, a premiere on Dancing Astronaut, and a lifetime Wave Pro membership. What this means for us non-remixers is that the stems of the songs are now available to download. You have to link up Spotify and Facebook and register a trial version of Wave.me, so just grab the stems in a much easier method here. Thanks to LPA for the heads up and the download link. Quote

hahninator Posted May 27, 2015 Author Posted May 27, 2015 Speaking of hidden guitar, for whatever reason, ALTNC has acoustic guitar randomly in it - there's no way you can tell me anyone can actually hear that in the song or that it adds anything to it. I know the band layered millions of stems of shit on Meteora but damn, ALTNC acoustic guitar is literally nonexistent in the mix lol. And it also has that guitar from What I've Done at the end of it. Odd. The only thing that could have been worse on ALTNC is if that vocoder vocal part was actually prominent in the mix. Still, I dislike that song a lot. Glad it was dropped from the live show. Downloading the Darker Than Blood stems now... Quote

Just finished downloading it but I can't play with Windows Media Player and it doesn't give me an "Open with..." option, any tips? And did anyone else notice that the filename calls it HORIZONS instead of Darker than Blood? My guess is that these are either older stems or they were just saved from when it was still called Horizons and the name change was the final thing that happened after instrumentation and recording was finished. Tyleronlplive Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 The bass is good and the vocals, harmonies, and vocoder are good combos. My problem is that the stems don't sync up. When LP releases their instrumentals and a capellas those line up if you played them at the same time. Quote
