I am looking forward to seeing them live on the ATS World Tour at least once. And if all goes well, i can attend 2 more shows and hopefully get a M&G to see the band and if my courage doesn't falter, ask Mike and Chester a question.

 

This is by far my favourite touring cycle so i hope to attend the night where they play the most ATS songs.

I'm going to tell you what Adam told me, and that all official information is posted on LP.com. The date there for general public sale is the only one that matters.

I should have said, don't answer my question if you're an idiot. Obviously i checked for tickets and i was unable to get any hence the question here on any info i might not be privy too.

Does anybody know if the show already sold out or if tickets aren't available yet to the general public? I mean there is no way the show sold out already right?

People must be seriously bored if there is a poll on Mike's hair. Because like seriously? I can't even.

Aren't all those just a variation of his usual full hair, to mohawk, to shaved and back to full hair?

 

Besides, the only justifiable reason i can think off why any one on here who isn't a heterosexual female would care about stuff like this is if they were gay. Not saying its a bad thing. But it explains the obsession with the band members look and makes it less creepy.

I like this interview. Seems like a nice fellow with good taste in bands.

How is it "fd up?" They don't want you to sign up for two things that may clash with each other. Common sense. Rather than being "fd up?" it seemed more courteous.

I am this close to ordering the grey one for the tour(probably will) simply because of the quote. I feel i owe it to myself to have that truth emblazoned across my back, and not just at an LP concert.

I always knew there was a reason i liked Enrique besides his Spanish good looks, voice and albums.

 

He sounds like one of the smarter LP fans. And i hope he comes to the MSG show because i plan to be there. Even better, i want to go see him too.

Seriously? They overdubbed the fucking album version audio of Faint over the LPU'ers playing the song at the jam session? LPTV has officially stooped to an all-time low. I don't care if Fiore's camera audio isn't the best quality, that's a slap in the face to every one of those fans that was up on that stage. Absolutely inexcusable.

How on earth would any of those ever make a good acoustic performance? Colour me confused. I think they'd be terrible. Especially Given Up which was like one of the worst songs LP has ever written at least to me.

My two cents....I don't think the new songs translate well to the live show, with the exceptions being WFTE and Wretches. It just seems weird to me, to see Brad and Chester wacking some drums in the front of the stage. It's like they want to prove that the album is really them playing instruments and not all electronics. That said, it's still a solid set list and I'm looking forward to MSG.

The Little Things Give You Away makes for an awesome acoustic performance. I love it so much.

I like the interludes but they aren't necessary to enjoy the songs. People blew that out of proportion. LP always said the songs could easily stand alone too. The interludes just help the album flow together better.

This is all anybody needs to read. It's as simple as that. Everybody else are being drama queens over nothing.

You should have asked to play the guitar for Burning in the Skies in place of Brad so that they could play the song as it seems that it's Brad that is holding out on the song being played.

No Iridescent, Wretches & Kings and The Requiem = EPIC FAIL! The biggest motivation i have to go see them live now besides the fact that i love LP like crazy is that i want to see A Thousand Suns live. The more the better.

Obviously, the band is experimenting with the order of the songs or they got bored. In which universe does LFY ever trump Papercut? Papercut is greater than 80% of the songs from Meteora hands down. What they need to do in their experimenting is replace LFY with Burning in the Skies, Crawling with Blackout, keep Breaking the Habit and replace Shadow of the Day with Robot Boy and keep The Messenger instead of Leave Out All The Rest. No ATS material should ever be replaced by a song from Meteora. That's blasphemy. The only way the setlist would ever be more awesome than it already is, is if they play Part Of Me(yes i can dream) or Easier to Run.

sorry i couldn't be upfront about the setlist last night peeps. i obviously saw it during our backstage tour and knew a lot of you would be disappointed, but promised hugo that we wouldn't tell anyone. to be honest - i've seen this set 4 times now and it never bores me. in fact, there were 10 of us who went together last night and 8 of those 10 haven't seen a single show on this tour so far - they loved and reveled in every minute of the show... some saying it was the best concert they'd ever been to. i love that this setlist can evoke an emotional response like that. i realise it must be boring to follow from the online point of view, but they are bringing what is a very strong setlist to each new location. i think it's obvious that they will change up the setlist for cities in which 2 or more shows are taking place... but i think it is completely logical and expected for them to maintain this setlist at each new city (at least once anyway).

i just want to say a massive thank you to hugo and cory (i think that was her name!) for everything they did for my mate and i last night. not sure if they read this or if anyone affiliated with the band on the aussie leg of the world tour do, but you guys are unbelievably awesome!

Blah, same setlist. Interesting. I wonder why they're doing that. There's 2 nights in Melbourne and Sydney so maybe they'll change it for those shows only. Still hoping for Jay-Z at the 2nd night in Sydney.

 

 

 

Na not an expectation at all. I think you greatly misunderstood my post. I said this was a WISH, as in that'd be great if they brought up another fan on Faint. Guess what? They did, lol. You don't think that's pretty sweet? Your post comes off as very standoffish.

 

Don't get me wrong. I think its great they bring fans up on stage to play with them. What makes it so great is that its random and for special reasons each time. In fact, my wish is how it would be even cooler if they got a fan(s) to play the instrumental part(s) to "Part of Me" and all the band has to do is have Mike and Chester learn the lyrics and perform it if that is what it takes to hear that awesome song live. I wasn't meaning to come off standoffish or whatever. It's just that with all the things we complain about, them not having a fan up to play with them on any song was not something i want to have to see people start complaining about too. In my mind i was like "great. one more thing to bitch about if it doesn't happen all the time." And you know the more LP does it, when they stop, there are people who are going to bitch about it and demand and wonder why LP isn't doing it all the time. So yeah, no offence meant.

Wow! Already fan on guitar for Faint has become an expectation. I hope no tantrums gets thrown if the band doesn't bring a fan up for another 3 years. But who i'm i kidding? This is the LP fandom. LP does it once, the fandom expects it a million times.

I agree that the StubHub prices are insane, but you guys have to realize that its NYC. Every show is more expensive there. I logged on 5 minutes early and the presale had already started. I was lucky enough to get two tix. Anyway, keep an eye on the tickets as the show gets closer, the prices will drop. They might not drop too much, but they have to come down a little. I bought my tix for the last LP show at MSG a week before the show, and paid $180 a piece for a floor seat. Good luck

That's bullshit. It's not because its NYC. It's because the people selling this tickets are greedy bastards who think people are stupid enough to buy tickets for 800 bucks that they bought for only 80 bucks. And that greed will be their downfall when no one buys their tixs.

Not that it matters but maybe there's a cutoff point and ATS released right after that.

 

But on the other hand, i don't need the Grammy's to tell me ATS was one of the best albums to be released this year. It was my favourite of the year and even the most exciting and refreshing for me. It wasn't perfect as nothing really man made ever will be but it was near.

 

And by the sound of all the nominations and performers, it looks like this year's Grammy is going to be extremely boring and so i dodged a bullet there having to watch the travesty just to see if LP wins or something.
