  1. I really hope we get MFR05. FRGT/10 and the LPJZ tracks... brilliant. Oh and SS06... In the End intro, explicit Reading My Eyes... I'm pumped! Check this out. This.is.the.shit: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tSD3eOcDOws
  2. Tak is the black guy from FM/SOB. SOB was signed to Machine Shop/Warner Bros. Records thanks to Mike, but WB didn't think they were successful enough... to make a long story short, they let them go. Tak was angry and took it out on Mike. He (Tak) also doesn't talk to the rest of FM/SOB. Mike is referring to someone from WB. Get Me Gone is really just an intro to High Road, so just listen to those two and you'll understand what he's saying. Finally, The Battle is just an excuse to put Celph Titled on The Rising Tied (lol). The song itself is Celph Titled during a rap battle; that's why there's audience reactions. I don't know if it's a real rap battle or just a skit, but nonetheless it's pretty short and pointless. It reminds me of the ending to PLC.4 MIE HÆD. There's an extended version released through Celph Titled, at least I think that's how it was released. I never listened to it because I didn't care for it.
  3. Just a reminder: the chat is today.
  4. I hope 20 Eyes will be on it! If they put the acoustic performance on it then I hope it's mixed differently because the vocal edit was terrible.
  5. Thanks. An update would be great In the mean time, we can list all the differences between CD's we know (fyi these aren't re-releases): Hybrid Theory: (see above) Hybrid Theory SE: Some discs are black with red writing Reanimation: (see above) Meteora/SE: UK version does not have the black bar on the top cover Minutes to Midnight: Alternate cover in some areas. It's the same pictures as the Tour Edition, minus the red LP logo. That's it for now. I have to get to class!
  6. Does it mention Phoenix as a band member or something?
  7. Most LP-related articles that were removed were because Wikipedia felt they weren't notable enough.
  8. It's not unusual for an artist to re-release a CD (see NIN in the 90s), but for LP it is quite unusual. Before a little while ago, I thought that HTEP was the only CD that was "re-released" in that the original release differs from the later release. I found out that Reanimation now has a booklet similar to Hybrid Theory; the fold-out type. This one also has the album cover on the front of it. The original one features an actual booklet with more pages and a different cover. I also noticed differences between some of the CD's. Some, but not all of the CD's have the robot positioned differently (a little more to the left to be precise). The honeycombs on the back of the case are also a little different. What makes this strange (to me) is that they all have the same UPC. (Though it will differ based on location). Here are some pictures: http://i207.photobucket.com/albums/bb101/A...19/HPIM8252.jpg http://i207.photobucket.com/albums/bb101/A...19/HPIM8253.jpg http://i207.photobucket.com/albums/bb101/A...19/HPIM8254.jpg http://i207.photobucket.com/albums/bb101/A...19/HPIM8256.jpg http://i207.photobucket.com/albums/bb101/A...19/HPIM8257.jpg http://i207.photobucket.com/albums/bb101/A...19/HPIM8258.jpg
  9. Nope, it hasn't been announced.
  10. Megatron FTW
  11. I don't understand why the tiny DC logo on the sleeve is such a big deal to people lol people don't even notice it. I wear my LPU shirts a lot and it took my sister a couple of years (literally) to realize there was a DC logo on it.
  12. You made some great points, but that still doesn't change how LP works in the studio. The point of my post was to try to explain their way of writing songs. Another example would be comparing Untitled to In the End. I've heard many people say they felt the lyrics to Untitled were better; I agree on that point.
  13. I finally made my decision. Yesterday, I was listening to Songs from the Underground in my car and I had it on repeat and it really got to me (not in an emotional/crying way lol), now I just listened to the one from Somewhere I Belong and I have to say it just didn't get to me like the piano one did. It was still good, but there's so much power in the piano version. I think the tempo might be the reason I feel that way. I like My December being performed slow, much like I prefer the piano version of Pushing Me Away to be fast (Like on LPU6).
  14. I love LP so much that I honestly do not care about anyone's opinion towards them. People like that seem to just be jealous of LP's attention. That girl knows LP is immensely popular and wishes her favorite bands were that popular. But honestly, it doesn't matter to me. As long as the music gets to my ears, I'm happy. It would be a different story if the bands were insulting each other, but they have respect. Think of it this way: Someone who can't even tune a guitar right is insulting LP's musical talent. That pretty much sums up her knowledge of music. The best part is that irony doesn't stop there. When she criticizes LP's music for being too similar and the lyrics for being too "whiny" she is just stereotyping. Some bands this girl likes are Metallica, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Paramore. Metallica has been making the same type of music for almost 30 years. RHCP tends to write songs about California and Paramore tends to write songs about relationships. As you can see now I'm stereotyping. In other words, you can criticize EVERY band the same way she's criticizing LP. So don't take it to heart. Instead just listen to your favorite LP songs. ...and if that doesn't work then let's say that her favorite bands are better than LP. Okay, now what? Are we not allowed to listen to a band because they're worse than other bands? And more importantly, did she have anything to do with it? Is she the reason those bands are "better". No, but she is a HUGE reason for why New Divide has so many views By arguing with her, you're simply giving her the attention she seeks. She's the drunk, half naked chick walking down Hollywood Boulevard, flashing everyone in sight, and you're the Paparazzi taking pictures of her.
  15. Because they're perfectionists. It's that simple. Besides... a lot of artists have a bunch of filler songs on their albums. That's not something we want on an LP album.
  16. LP always goes over their songs over and over again and changes them to be "perfect". If people keep saying "Hurry up, you guys are taking too long!" Then they're not going to work the same, but faster, they're going to do a half-assed job of rushing something together without even thinking about it. If you've ever written an essay, which I'm sure you have, you may have noticed that the final draft is much better than the rough draft. The reason for this is because after completing the rough draft, you've looked over it and thought hard on how to improve it and how to make it "perfect". A lot of times, it can take a lot of time and patience. Also, has it ever occurred to any of you that maybe they just want to spend more time with their friends and families? These guys have toured for two and a half years since the release of Minutes to Midnight. I think they deserve a break. Yes, I am anxious to hear the new material, obviously, but I don't think it's fair to keep rushing them and to keep bugging them about it. It will be finished when it's finished. Mike just had a baby for crying out loud; let the man be with his child before he has to tour the world for another two years.
  17. I hope you guys realize that if you rush the band, the music will be crap.
  18. Lol forget about her; she's just an attention whore.
  19. I don't want to rush them obviously, but I do hope they finish the album "soon".
  20. Wow that HAS to be the worst list I've ever seen.
  21. Agreed. He sounds good on the studio versions, obviously. Just listen to "Stay Together for the Kids" live... It's brutal.
  22. Meh... I'm not too excited for Travis' album. He said it's gonna have some of his "rock remixes" on them. Obviously the drumming on them is sick, but the songs themselves are garbage
  23. It's always been a dream of mine to hear Chester and Travis make a song together.
  24. I hope Mike makes more of these "raw" unedited videos. Don't get me wrong, I love LPTV, but it's cool to see Mike do this kinda stuff.
  25. That was called for...
