Yeah I wouldn't mind them dropping it for some other song, but it sounded really good here, especially since Chester said "Building it UP" instead of ERP! Just imagine if he wasn't so sick. You can tell he isn't well becaue he's wearing sunglasses (indoors) like he did on Jimmy Kimmel when he was sick. Plus he was basically glued to the mic stand for most songs. Somehow his screams sounded alright, at least for the videos I have seen (BIO and 1/2 of Numb that he sang). And kickgift, your tag is amazing.

Well, I can't make it until 1:30, let alone the hour and a half it will last beyond that. SOMEONE record the stream and I'll check it out in the morning. Predictions: The Wilson sisters of Heart on COG (given) Filharmonic on any song with gang vocals (Ballad Medley, Robot Boy (fat chance), Roads Untravelled (hoping), etc.) ALTNC will have something special, not sure, but Travis Barker is there and drummed to it before. No new album debuts. Living Things won't have anything new unless they play RU but that would be the most if anything. I'd like to see Richard Patrick sing for something like OSC since he is at the show, but doubt it. Bad Religion is on at the moment, at least I assume, there is an IG post if them frim 25 minutes ago. Richard Patrick (Filter, Nine Inch Nails, Army of Anyone) is at this concert! Wish he would go on stage for LP's set for a song too, he could be another collaborator. Plus he sang in Army of Anyone with members of STP like Chester

He uses that on songs like WID and IMR. For WHATEVER reason, someone posted a picture of Mike but was talking about Kyle Christener when he was wrong again and meant Scott Koziol, but that is NOT a bass that he is using. Not similar to the bass other than the color scheme. case closed.

Yeah i'm talking about doing a cycle of a few different songs every few shows. Like maybe they drop Numb and play Valentine's Day one night, or the next night keep numb and drop Faint to sub The Catalyst. They could do that with a lot of songs, particularly New Divide. Numb, ITE, and WID will probably be played regularly until the end of time, but I wouldn't be surprised if every now and then one is swapped out for a few nights. BIO, however? That could be there for a while since it is the consistent closer for either main set or encore. Unless they have something from the next album that works as a more powerful closer than BIO or OSC, I think those will both remain in the set

Even at this point, Numb could be dropped from a lot of shows. A show like this where not everyone is a fan would need the hits anyway, but the MFR show with a lot of LPU members and die-hard fans could have more fan-favorites instead of Radio Hits. Not that Numb is bad, but it could be recycled and tossed in and out to add some variety, as could half of the songs in Sets A and B at different points in time.

I'm not really asking for any more collaborations at this point. During the period between the releases of LT and Recharged, I was hoping they would do a collaboration along the lines of Collision Course (but more focused on original material) but now that they have done Recharged with a bunch of DJ's doing the production rather than having an artist actually featured for the most part, I think I can wait for another collab until LP6 is out (whether or not it has this potential Aoki collab redux haha)

Hoping they'll play that because it has been used in both videos for the show on their youtube page. I know they aren't the ones making the videos but it makes sense for a disaster relief show

I don't want to delve into this genre, but I'm hoping LP doesn't make this their new thing. It's fine if they have a few LP songs with EDM elements, but not if they have a lot of EDM songs with Mike Shinoda/Steve Aoki elements ft. Chester Bennington

Yeah, that's exactly what keeps them successful. They would have fizzled out 8 years ago if they put out Hybrid Theory Part III instead of changing it up. And I don't think they are changing to the current style of music as much as they are putting their own spin on what's influencing them. So yeah if Mike is listening to a lot of EDM and that influenced ALTNC then so be it, but I don't recall there being much music like ATS back when that came out

The drum-only song is interesting, especially since it made it on to the list, so it must have more than just a drum track to it. Probably going to end up as an instrumental pentultimate track again. At the moment, not looking like there will be some slow songs like The Messenger or really any acoustic songs. Seeing the measures and more music info would help to tell us what direction they are headed in for songwriting. About the different modes (Astat, lend a hand) like ionian, phrygian, myxolydian, and the partial keys. Does this mean potential SOLOS on these songs? I'm thinking we can at least expect returning riffs like OSC and LFY, maybe even better

I'm not rushing it, even though I'd kill for it today, I was just stating how the three members have conflicting timeframes. Chester is saying soon meanwhile he is working with anither band. Mike is producing the bulk of the album and is pacing himself on the work. The Aoki collab redux is interesting me a lot though. But this time, I'm hoping the whole band has more of a feature on it (however this is Aoki's album with their help). I kinda changed the subject there but hope I cleared what I was saying

Mike said it will definitely be out in the first half and Chester said "soon" so Brad is just speculating everything for now. If there is a big collab with Aoki on Neon Future, it would help for LP6 to be released around the same time so the albums could support each other. Either way, we have those two albums and an EP to look forward to!

That might be because it was for a TV/radio recording and they didn't want the violent ending to it, plus this version is going on a compilation to benefit disaster relief

I still would have liked to have seen a whole band performing, the least JKL could do is give them a bigger stage. I do like the AOKI/LP logo, and Mike sounded like the record. Steve just stood around, but that's kind of what he does anyway. Chester wasn't good, but that song is tougher on him than most of LP's songs. They didn't have so many rehearsals anyway so it makes sense that the tough chorus would best him. A live band would have helped cover up more mistakes.

Was that ever clarified? Is that EP supposed to feature multiple remix winners for the same song or will it be just one, and some other undetermined songs.

1. Is this going on it's own page again or being added to the 2013 shows page? 3. Was it announced somewhere else that the whole band would be there with Steve? I mean, for network television, they should at least do a full band instead of two guys singing over an instrumental and a guy hitting play and jumping around

I really want guitar tabs for Primo, Three Band Terror, and Cumulus. The SIB demo sounds like what it SHOULD sound like. They began that song with the acoustic guitar-backwards-cut-up-paste-layered effects and then added parts from 2001. A year later, I think it's pretty decent. The guitar and drums do sound primitive but I like how the guitar pars are a little different, especially in the bridge. In the beginning, it just sounds louder or higher. And the chorus guitar sounds ways too drowned out by static effects to hardly hear the chord changes. What surprises me is that the lyrics remained unchanged since then. Doubt that a 2001 version had different lyrics, let alone any.

If it isn't out in the next 40 minutes I'm not hearing it. After my 5 hour shift at work if it isn't up I may break heads (mostly because of work tho)

2010. This could have gone in ATS perfectly, especially the whole When They Come For Me/I'll Be Gone (both fifth track on each album) would fit better with the story/concept album. Structure gives it a unique new style that they haven't used very often. Hoping it continues on LPU XIII and LP 6. As for my opinion, I love it. IBG was one of my favorites when LT came out, though it has become a little stale at this point. I can imagine this being performed as a major theatrical production that we will never get. If this had Primo's instrumental with less electronic drums and kept the melody but with IBG's lyrics and regular drums, it could work on both ATS AND LT. And I can tell what Primo was and became kind of was LP's baby since they began on it. Going from this in 2010 (or even earlier) and then reworking it to a whole new song over a whole year, bringing in Owen Pallet, and on top of that 2 remixes (one of which having Mike's rap part) in RECHARGED. Ironically enough, IBG gets no live time.

I wouldn't call them shit because they are awesome when played ON TOUR. The festival sets should always be tweaked to what the environments are for it. Since Download is full of a lot of rock acts, it makes sense that they are going to play HT in full with he most hesvy tracks. Not that there's anything wrong with the aformentioned tracks, they would be fine at a show with hardcore fans, not one full of people who may be only going to the show for one specific band, but they see LP causethey know a few old hits.

Not that it's too important for the next six months, but the date for this show on the sidebar says 2004 instead of 2014. Also if any mods see this, you guys should set up a megathread for setlist predictions before this one crashes the site lol
