  1. Yeah pretty much, except 18 years ago they were in their 20s and they didn't have ¨professional¨songwriters help them, so at least it made sense.
  2. This. I find it hard to believe that they needed help from a songwriter to write something like this.
  3. Can´t lie, I'm not digging that album cover, nor the "Heavy" previews, nor the "vibe" of this album... I guess we´ll see what happens when the single is released.
  4. At this point he's probably still in the band because they're all buddies and they need a music video director. He contributes little to nothing musically.
  5. Out of the few words that start with -On- that are 8 letters in length, the only word that sounds like an album or song title is "Oncoming" and it doesn't convince me. The other options are probably something like "On the xxx", or "Onto xxxx". My bet is "Only xxxx" or "over xxxx"
  6. Im going to repeat what I said on the other thread...I love LP and they're still my favorite band, but I wish they would stop the bullshit of teasing everything they do. Why can't they just drop a freaking song when it's ready? Why can't they just release album info? There's no need for such a big band to pretty much announce that they will make an announcement. Papa Roach released a single without even having an album title/release date, Stone Sour already released an album title and they're not even done recording, and so many other examples out there.
  7. Don't get me wrong, I love LP and they're still my favorite band, but I wish they would stop the bullshit of teasing everything they freaking do. If you have a song to share, just freaking post it. If you know the album release date/title, share it. I hate that they basically announce that they will make an announcement. They're a big act, no need to create hype for everything. /rant
  8. I would love to see LP take either Stone Sour or Papa Roach on tour. Both bands are releasing new albums this year and have previously toured with LP.
  9. I wouldn't hold my breath. This quote is from an article posted two days ago, which features an interview with Mike: He continues, “for example, we know that over two-thirds of our fans live outside the US, they range from 13-35, they're roughly 50/50% male/female, most of them are gamers, and 80% of them were pleased with our set list on the last tour. Here´s the full article: http://www.forbes.com/sites/jonobacon/2015/06/11/from-piracy-to-prosperity-inside-the-new-artists-toolbox/#79930b2609c0 So clearly, they will continue to please the "casual" fans that go to their concerts to listen to In the End, Numb or What I´ve Done.
  10. Not the best LPU ever, but I really dig Dark Crystal. I wish they could have added some creepy rap/vocals and made it into a full song.
  11. Great job! I hope to see Chester doing shows like this more often.
  12. Hey guys I come from the future, year 2025, and people still ask band members about their favorite song to play, their hobbies and when they are going to Brazil or India...
  13. In old interviews they've mentioned that in 2010 they were working on music for a project that ended up falling apart and I always wondered what it was... well, now we know that it was a video game.
  14. That's not good. That's my favorite thing about the LPU. I hope they can work on something.
  15. The first of the six demos that are going to be released is called TooLeGit (2010 demo) and it will be released on December 15th. LPU members can preview it right now (check your emails).
  16. Pretty cool interview. Hopefully LPL can get something like this at some point. I remember LPL ''winning'' an interview with Mike in an LPU contest a couple of years ago but I don't remember it ever happening, but oh well. I'm glad Mike addressed different topics that ''hardcore'' fans usually talk about. I can't believe he said THP is a thrash metal album though ...
  17. I'm glad that they dropped the prices and that they got rid of the VyRT thing. The t-shirt design is a bit disappointing though and I'm not so sure about the way they split the demos but as long as they keep releasing demos in a physical form I'll be happy. I'll renew in a few months.
  18. The Hundreds v LP jacket is out. In case you want to spend 120 bucks + shipping on a jacket, here's your link http://store.linkinpark.com/the-hundreds-v-lp-jacket.html
  19. I don't particularly care since I don't like STP but I can't say I'm surprised. While I'm glad Chester had the chance to be part of a band that he loved growing up, from the very beginning it seemed like it was going to be a tough job to sing in two big bands. Basically, the only way to make it work is by doing what, for example, Corey Taylor does. When Slipknot is recording/touring, Stone Sour is completely on hold and vice versa.vIt just didn't seem like LP was going to stop at any point considering they've been in such a non-stop creative mood since 2010. After all, like Weiland put it with different words, LP is what allows Chester to pay the bills. Now let's hope he will put all that creative energy into LP7.
  20. Crossing my fingers so that this is not LP7 related but instead just another stand alone crappy EDM track like the Aoki ones, a remix or a FM collaboration.
  21. Sorry LP, but no matter how good the designs are, I'll never pay $115 for a t-shirt. That's ridiculous.
  22. I have to agree with Astat. While the song is not bad overall and it's catchy, I don't like the fact that he's trying to sound/rap like someone else instead of himself. He has a very distinctive way of rapping that we all like and all of the sudden he tries to sound gangsta. I don't mind if he releases more stuff as long as that doesn't delay a new LP album.
  23. They are indeed trying to show everything they've done musically, but you can't deny that their actual setlist has some flaws. After such a great high energy first part of the set, you get like 25 minutes (from Castle of Dance to Mike's solo) in which you keep asking "What the fuck is going on?" You said we could be getting setlists of only singles, well .. that's what we basically get except for ALITS and Wastelands. I've said before that I don't expect them to play Part Of Me or No Roads Left every night but they can actually make the set a lot better by replacing some songs. Hell, they could even add some singles that they don't play. Final Masquerade instead of the ballad medley, Lost in the Echo instead of Mike's solo, The Catalyst instead of the Robot Boy+Joe solo crap and play a song for the 'fans' like APFMH or No More Sorrow instead of that irrelevant Runaway transition.
  24. LP and logic are two words that should never be together. Anyway, the show was alright mainly because of ALITS. It was a pretty solid performance for a debut even if I felt Rob was a little 'off'. It's such a pity that they decided to keep the rest of the set untouched for this new tour (I honestly don't expect any surprises for the rest of the dates) because there are so many things that simply don't work. Glad to see Chester back and sounding good for the most part.
  25. Great to see ALITS making its live debut! Hopefully the live version will do justice to how amazing that song is. The rest of the set is laughable. The portion of the set starting with Runaway and finishing with Numb/Encore has to be the worst series of songs in a set I've seen on any band ever.
