  1. What else would I be doing at midnight? I take time writing them up, patience
  2. They 100% played Set B tonight, we're talking about tomorrow in Toronto!
  3. Set A_V5 is now a possibility, don't forget. APFMH closing.
  4. We can use this thread to discuss the current setlists! We know Set A_V5 is now a possibility, I feel it was something they just threw together. I feel if they do change the set, they'll use a Set A_V6, probably w/o APFMH closing, but in another spot.
  5. Linkin Park: "Let's sort out all the possibilities for our artwork, and pick the shittiest one to be our album cover. Then we'll put all the mother of god art on the vinyl, so we can get more money!"
  6. Lorenzo You're doing great on the LPU + Summits, keep it up!
  7. Check out this thread for different versions of sets. We only know Set A_V4, B_V5, and A_V5.
  8. Completely redid the thread. Set A_V5 can be found in the main post.
  9. THANK YOU. Nice to see a fellow Echelon member join the site too! I'm no longer alone in this world As ctgerrard just said, VyRT is completely independent. They DEPEND on the funds they get from the shows they stream to keep on providing us with quality webcasts. Think about it: this is founded from a man who is IN A BAND. You're getting an EXCEPTIONAL quality webcast (I believe it streams up to 1080p) for TWO bands, for the price of $15. A little extra if you want a download of MARS's set. VyRT is not about the live show, it's about the experience. You can chat with other fans and even interact with the bands themselves (we have to spam PLAY APFMH in the chat). They even went as far as to give LPU Members their own separate chat room. Don't shoot it down before you try it out.
  10. It's by year now - We're getting fucked this year lol EDIT: Cleaned it up A LOT - looks a lot better now + it's easier to read. Something that I'll put up for debate, should Blackout and BITS be put as rehearsed but not played? The band just brought them out randomly in the middle of the Australian 2010 show, so they were probably rehearsed at some point prior, maybe before they hit South America/Europe?
  11. The Carnivores Tour is taking it to the land of maple syrup! That's right, Linkin Park, Thirty Seconds To Mars, and AFI are heading to Montreal, Quebec in Canada at the Parc Jean-Drapeau! Linkin Park has played in Montreal a few times before: 2003, 2004, of which a very strong audience recording of which can be found in our Live Audio Downloads & Requests forum, 2008, and 2011. Linkin Park's history here is interesting... In 2003, the band performed at the same venue on the famous Summer Sanitarium Tour. In 2004, Chester brought up long-time Linkin Park fan, friend, and LPLive member Sal (who recently celebrated his 50th show at Holmdel) to sing with him on Faint. In 2008, Chester pulled of the FULL SCREAM during Given Up! Awesome! In 2011, Mike rapped verse 1 of 'A Place For My Head' over the bridge of 'Bleed It Out', as well as having Rob perform a drum solo! Speaking of historical moments, the most recent show in Darien Center has had some mixed reactions. On the bright side of things, the band held the 10th LPU Summit before the show, performing 'Final Masquerade' acoustically as well as holding a Q&A session for LPU members. At the show, Mike rapped the first verse of the Xero song 'Reading My Eyes' over the extended intro of 'Bleed It Out' for the first time on The Hunting Party tour! The last time he rapped a verse of 'Reading My Eyes' was in 2013, at the last show of the Living Things World Tour in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. And now, the sad news. An early draft of the setlist was found early in the day, which contained 'A Place For My Head' to close the show after 'Bleed It Out'. Unfortunately, that was scrapped from the final version of the setlist that they used at the show. That would of been the first time 'A Place For My Head' would close a show, and what a closer that would be! Quite carnivorous, if you ask me. According to our 2014 Live Poll, it's the most requested song to be played on the Carnivores Tour! At least we know that the band can play it at any point of the tour when they see fit. Possibly at the next summit in Woodlands, TX? Maybe even at the show in Montreal! Fingers crossed! The band performed Set A yesterday, so Set B is likely to be performed in Montreal. To see a list of songs that Linkin Park has rehearsed but not played subsequently on tour, click here! Check out the acoustic performance of 'Final Masquerade' at the summit in Darien Center! This was the first time the song, and any song from The Hunting Party has been performed acoustically in front of a crowd! Awesome! Watch Chester, Brad, and Mike perform this awesome version of the song! On the other live side of the Carnivores Tour, both Thirty Seconds To Mars and AFI are still going strongg. AFI played their regular setlist that has hits like 'Miss Murder' and 'I Hope You Suffer', as well as some other deep album cuts like 'Medicate' and '17 Crimes'. Thirty Seconds To Mars played their regular set that opened with the combo of Carl Orff's 'Carmina Burana: O Fortuna' and the lead single from their new album, Love Lust Faith + Dreams, 'Up In The Air'. Also in their set are hits like 'Do Or Die' and 'City Of Angels'. Jared's acoustic consisted of the single from This Is War, 'Hurricane', and MARS's most popular song, 'The Kill'. They closed with 'Closer To The Edge' and invited fans from the crowd onstage. Awesome! The LPLive Crew is done manning the Music For Relief booth! Let's take a brief moment to thank them for their and the other MFR Volunteers for helping out on tour, and here's to the next one! The MFR Booth is still a great cause, so be sure to stop by and donate to the cause. Jonas, or AndOne, will still be attending the show and working at the booth in Toronto, so say hi if you see him! We'll update you on the show both here and on our Twitter, so go follow us there! Check out the rest of Linkin Park's 2014 touring schedule here.
  12. Updated with some more stuff - Should I keep it organized by name or organize it by year?
  13. Are we really going to take the playing of 'A Place For My Head' into politics? That's probably the only way we'll get it, though
  14. "He had sex with his turntable" "Our chef, Grey, was killed by Brad's dry humor" LMFAO I don't even care if it wasn't the most informational one, this was hilarious.
  15. You probably read it here lol: http://lplive.net/shows/db/2011/20110205
  16. Reading My Eyes, a song by Xero.
  17. No information about any performance yet, hopefully something happens soon
  18. To be fair, the THP touring cycle is nowhere near over, so we'll have to see what else they play live, if they do end up playing more of it. EDIT: Also, on the THP quote, #ShotsFired to the LT songs not played live
  19. The Carnivores Tour is back in New York, heading upstate to Darien Center. Linkin Park, Thirty Seconds To Mars, and AFI will take the stage at the Darien Lake Performing Arts Center on August 21. A very exciting event is occurring at this show as well: the 10th LPU Summit! We'll get to that in a bit. First, a little bit of history. Fun! Though the band is no stranger to the location, this will be the first time they've set foot there since 2007! They band performed there twice before, in 2004 and 2007. Though the band's history here is brief, it's definitely strong. In 2004, Bert McCracken from The Used came out to perform 'Faint' with the band! In 2007, Mike rapped a verse of the Fort Minor song, 'Petrified' over the extended intro of 'Points Of Authority'! The 10th LPU Summit is taking place before the show. Ever since 2010, the band has been hosting summits at various locations throughout the world exclusively for LPU Members. At the summits, LPU Members can participate in events such as cleaning up the local parks, planting trees, and playing rock-paper-scissors for money, as well as getting an exclusive Q&A with the band, and access to hearing either a soundcheck or a short acoustic set by the band. Previously, the summit has been held in London, Homebush, Chicago, Hamburg, Chiba, Camden, Cape Town, Auckland, and Chep Lap Kok. At past summits, the band has performed 'The Messenger', 'Leave Out All The Rest', 'The Little Things Give You Away', 'Rolling In The Deep' by Adele, and 'In My Remains' acoustically, as well as soundchecking songs like 'Blackout', 'Burning In The Skies', 'Castle Of Glass', 'The Catalyst', and 'Victimized (w/ QWERTY)'. What do you think the band will do at this summit? 'Final Masquerade' would sound nice acoustically! At the most recent summits, the band has toyed around with the idea of streaming the events that occur at the summit via uStream. Check out some videos from the last summit in Chep Lak Kok here, including the band's soundcheck! Another LPU Summit is scheduled for Woodlands, TX and there is likely to be another one on the band's European excursion, rumored for either Paris or Amsterdam. Curious about some other rumors about the band's touring schedule? Check out this thread! Check out this acoustic performance of 'In My Remains' at the LPU Summit in Camden in 2012! Hopefully, we'll get another acoustic performance, since those don't come around too often. What songs would you like to hear acoustic? The other bands on the Carnivores Tour are still going strong! In Wantagh, AFI performed their regular setlist, featuring singles like 'I Hope You Suffer' and 'Miss Murder', as well as some deeper album cuts like 'Medicate' and 'Silver and Cold'. Earlier on the tour, the band performed two songs that they dropped from future setlists: 'A Single Second' and 'Beautiful Thieves'. Maybe they'll bring them back soon! This will be AFI's third performance at the venue, the most recent being in 2010. Thirty Seconds To Mars will be performing at the venue for the first time since 2002, when they opened for Incubus! The band opened their setlist with Carl Orff's 'Carmina Burana: O Fortuna' and their new hit, 'Up In The Air'. The band performed singles like 'This Is War' and 'Kings and Queens' as well as some non-singles like 'Search and Destroy' and 'Conquistador'. The band changed up the setlist by rotating 'Night Of The Hunter' and 'Search and Destroy', as well as Tomo and Shannon playing some instrumental covers: 'Cowboys From Hell' by Pantera and 'Whole Lotta Love' by Led Zeppelin. Jared Leto also appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on August 20, as well as bringing the band to perform 'End Of All Days', which will likely be the band's next single. Linkin Park's set in Wantagh saw them going through Set B, which features 'Somewhere I Belong' and a new version of 'Dirt Off Your Shoulder/Lying From You'. Notable events at the show include Chester doing the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, as challenged by Mike at the previous show in Holmdel, which he challenged Jared Leto, the rest of Thirty Seconds To Mars, and AFI, Mike performing a 'hybrid' verse of 'Remember The Name' over his solo medley, Mike bringing back to Sing-a-long Outro to 'What I've Done', Mike having an awesome speech over the bridge of 'Bleed It Out', and Rob performing a new drum solo over the bridge! If the pattern continues, the band will perform Set A again tonight. There's always that small chance the band performs a random Set C. According to our new 2014 live poll, the fans want to see 'A Place For My Head', 'No More Sorrow', 'By Myself', and 'When They Come For Me' among others to be played on the Carnivores Tour! Maybe the band will see our poll and add a few songs to the setlist. It wouldn't be the first time the band responded to our posts here on LPLive! In other recent news, check out all the backstage work at the first night of the Carnivores Tour, via LiveNation! Also, we're getting another proshot of the band on the Carnivores Tour, as the band's performance at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, CA on September 15 will be livestreamed via VyRT, Jared Leto's online ticketing service. We'll have you all covered on everything in the world of Linkin Park! Who's heading to the show or summit? We'll cover all the information here on LPLive and on our Twitter, so go follow us there! The LPLive Crew (minus Hahninator, who's headed home now) will be at the show and the summit, as well as manning the Music For Relief booth. After this show, the band heads off to Canada to play two shows in Montreal and Toronto. On the 24th, the MTV Video Music Awards will be held, and Linkin Park is nominated for Best Rock Video, among other nominations including Lorde's 'Royals' and Imagine Dragons' 'Demons'. Thirty Seconds To Mars' 'City Of Angels' is nominated for Best Cinematography too, here's to hoping the bands win their awards! Check out the rest of Linkin Park's 2014 touring schedule here.
  20. LiveNation recently posted a video featuring all the effort that goes behind the scenes at the first date of the Carnivores Tour in West Palm Beach, Florida! See the tour's chef, all the techs, as well as LPLive members Hahninator, AndOne, CookieMonster, and Preston at the 1:20 mark! Awesome!
  21. Jesus, what the hell happened to the South American Tour planning? I wonder if the same thing happened with that like what happened with Europe in 2013.
  22. This. Also, I'm 99% sure you can't share the webcast. You can for a limited time I guess, until someone finds it but it'll ultimately be taken down. They offer a download for MARS's show, if enough people tweet/email them I'm sure they'd give LP's show too, at the consent of the band and their label of course. MARS can do it because they're independent. EDIT: My 5,000th post on a Linkin Park fansite is about 30 Seconds To Mars. Go figure.
