    Does anyone know what settings you could apply to an amp to give it a more LP sounding tone? I'm not talking about pedal effects like distortion, but things like bass, gain, presence, etc.

    I think "Them" and "They" refer to either the memories he shared with the person or maybe the people who took the person away (maybe the person was taken by an accident of some sort.) The black wind could mean death, black is usually associated with evil and wind could be the death itself.
