  1. they ever release singles? (I know about music video for "run joseph run" but not always music video are singles)

I don't know about official singles, but they did have some songs released in compilations:

    Pilgrim

    He Lifts Me Up

    Wonderbread

    Run Joseph Run

    My Greatest Day

Maybe these were songs that received local radio airplay.

  2. Just listened to "Songs from the Underground" and came across "Announcement Service Public".

What is Chester singing? Is it backwards?

Yes, it is. Just like the title. If you reverse the song, you will hear Chester saying "you should brush your teeth and you should wash your hands".

    Edit:

wow! Sorry, I didn't know the question had already be answered.

  3. Mike's quotes about Xero and "Pictureboard":

M: Pictureboard has samples in it. Can't give to LPU.

    LPU chat in 2011.

    mshinoda says to (13:30):

Xero songs – I don't have any for you to hear. I do have some other older demos though…maybe someday :)

    LPU chat in 2009.

MikeS: a place for my head used to be called esaul and there was a song called pictureboard which we actually played on stage one time probably 5 years ago with linkin park. we played it after we changed our name. i think that was the only time we played a xero song that wasn't on hybrid theory after we changed our name.

    LPU chat in 2005.

  4. Could anybody help me name the songs present in Mike Shinoda's Nu Metal mixtape?

Here's what I've got so far (in order of appearance):

    01. ???

    02. Disturbed - Down With The Sickness

    03. Trust Company - ???

    04. Drowning Pool - Bodies

    05. Deftones - Back To School (Mini Maggit)

    06. P.O.D. - Set It Off

    07. Trapt - Headstrong

    08. Korn - Freak On A Leash

    09. Vanilla Ice - ???

    10. Limp Bizkit - Nookie

    16. Snot - My Balls

    17. ???

    18. Linkin Park - One Step Closer

    19. Kid Rock - Bawitdaba

    20. Kittie - Brackish

    21. ???

    22. Slipknot - Spit It Out

    23. Mudvayne - Dig

    24. Static-X - Push It

  5. So it's not an official remix, until it gets an official release, isn't it?

I don't understand it yet. Some band - KickDrums made a remix, and all of a sudden we consider it official. Why? What if some unknown band did a remix for LP song?

I mean, I suppose it might be official, but what's so special about this particular remix? Is this some kind of famous band that did this remix?

Sorry, I didn't get your point.

This is a list of official remixes. Not all the remixes in the list were officially released by Linkin Park but they are there anyway.

Take the A Thousand Horizons remixes for instance. They were played during some art show and that's it. They never received an official release. Saying they had would be the same as going to Mike's house, listening to "Pictureboard" and saying it was officially released just because you heard the full song.

According to what Astat said about the "Robot Boy" remix, a remix is official when the band (Linkin Park in this case) gives the multitracks of the song to a group/person so they/he/she can make the remix of said song.

Despite being labeled as "unofficial" by Street Drum Corps, the "Robot Boy" remix is part of this list because the band (SDC) clearly had and used "Robot Boy" multitracks to make the remix.

I'm not saying there's anything special about this "Waiting For The End" remix in particular, and I'm not saying The KickDrums is a famous band. Actually, I've never heard of most of the people who remixed Linkin Park songs. I'm just saying this remix was posted by LPAssociation as being official (at least that's what I got from the news) and I trust their judgement.

    Sorry about my bad english.

  6. Why should we count it as official remix?

According to the guy who leaked the Glitch Mob remix of "Waiting For The End", it is official.

Here's what he posted at LPA forums in 2010:

Wuddup Rocky! Didnt know you were on here. I just got The Kickdrums official remix of WFTE. I wish I could leak this but theres no word on when and if this will get an official release. When I get the word you guys will know.

The remix was uploaded to soundcloud in 2012 by a The KickDrums member.

  7. "Tampa Finals" refers to a piece Mike did as part of the score for Rob Dyrdek's "Street Dreams" movie in 2009. Not really a Fort Minor track, and I've never been able to track down the piece of music itself.

I remember "Tampa Finals" was added to BMI at the same time as "Pictureboard". There were rumors about it being an unreleased Fort Minor song that was set to be released with the LPU X CD.

I never knew Mike had worked in the score for this movie. "Lying From You" is part of its soundtrack if I'm not mistaken.

We could try asking Mike to release "Tampa Finals".

  8. LGraham was talking about the DVD that came in the Best Buy Fort Minor Militia package from 2005, which most of us use as cover art for those tracks. Cool your jets, man, you don't need to systematically disprove everything someone's saying.

Sorry, I didn't mean to sound aggressive or to offend anyone.

  9. I'm pretty sure there's art for the fort minor militia stuff - as in a scan of the cover it came in. I don't think there's special, specific art for the others, I assume most people (like I did) simply included those in the CDs for which they were a bonus

During 8 months, they released 1 free downloadable track per month for the Fort Minor Militia members. The tracks were never released on CD.

Lockjaw was kind of a christmas gift from Mike Shinoda to the LPU members. Mike uploaded the track to rapidshare and posted the link in the news.

The acoustic version of Morning After was released as a free downloadable track for LPU members to celebrate the release of Out Of Ashes.

Crawling was a downloadable bonus track for Songs From The Underground, but any LPU member (including the ones who didn't have the CD) could download the track.

None of the tracks came with cover/artwork. They were just .mp3 files.

  10. Since Mike Shinoda was involved with the mixtape, I think we can consider this one an official remix:

David Banner vs. Linkin Park ("Like A Pimp" vs. "Papercut") - Rock Phenomenon

I think you should also add this, since it is totally different from the one released on Reanimation:

Place 4 My Head (Original RMX) - amplivesworld.com

  11. Also, I would like to broaden this list to all related side-projects including Julien-K.

  12. For a long time I thought the band had finished 15 tracks for the album Minutes To Midnight (the standart edition tracks + NRL + ATL + WWDK) until I read some coments here saying that the band actually finished 17 tracks for the album.

As far as I know, Blackbirds and Not Alone were finished after the album was released, so they don't count.

Does that mean that there are 2 unreleased (finished) tracks from the Minutes To Midnight sessions?

  13. At the end of video the song fades, so I'm guessing that's not how the song really ends. Black Rock Shooter is a 5 min song. It wouldn't make sense remixing only 1 min of it.

Bass On The Bottom was one of two songs remixed by Mr. Hahn. I don't know the title of the other song he remixed.

  14. Mike wasn't credited for Damn. See it here.

The collaboration between them was announced in 2010.

Reseda Beach was originally set to be released in 2008. (including a version of Damn which featured Michael Bublé and Holly Brook)

Not only did Tigra collaborate with Berko to make this album, but she also jumped in the studio to duet with MC Lyte and gave Mr. Hahn of Linkin Park two tracks to remix.

  15. Styles of Beyond - Howdy Doodie (Produced by Mike Shinoda)

Styles of Beyond - Dumb it Down (Co-produced by Mike Shinoda and Apathy)

Both are tracks from the unreleased Resada Beach album.

Howdy Doody was produced by Cheapshot and Vin Skully. Source

Reseda Beach was executive produced by Mike Shinoda.

Mike Shinoda is credited for two tracks from the Medal of Honor: Warfighter score.

There's also the soundtrack of The Raid: Redemption.

  16. 1. Source?

    2. Added, thank you.

    3. about the fort minor songs i want to fount out how the versions heard and them length.

Mark is credited for the song.

According to a post made in the "Did You Know" Facts thread, during a LPU chat, Chester said Esaul was the first demo the band sent him.

I also remember of Mike mentioning somewhere there was a Xero version of Esaul. (maybe some interview)

    LPU 11 booklet:

"09. Esaul (A Place For My Head Demo)

This was one of the first demos the band had ever written. When Chester joined the band, we finally put together enough money to do a proper recording of it (this one) in a "professional studio." These were the original lyrics and performance."

  17. - There was a Xero version of Esaul.

    - Kings Of Leon song remixed by Linkin Park:

    http://lplive.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=2239

Lady Tigra - Bass On The Bottom (Mr. Hahn And Troublemaker Remix) (Radio Edit) Exist? Probably Not Edited Because The Full Remix Is 2:21.

The full version is 2:50. I think the 2:21 one is the radio edit.

Music Video: (Link Will Be Great)

Fort Minor - Believe Me (Director's Cut) Without Some Effects

This video was released. I used to have it. It was made avaliable at the director's website (I found the download link but it doesn't work anymore).

Fort Minor - There They Go (Clean - Green Mix) (From We Major EP Vinyl) Probably Only Acapella Muted.

Fort Minor - Nobody's Listening (Clean - Green Mix) (From We Major EP Vinyl) Probably Only Acapella Muted.

I don't think they should be in this list. They were released.

  18. I want to buy The Raid: Redemption soundtrack CD, but since it's been released a long time ago, I'm not sure if they are still shipping. Could anyone tell me if I can still get the CD?
