  1. About the "how many songs were finished for MTM" thing, I just found this:

How many songs did you write?

We estimate somewhere between 100 and 150. Some were very rough and just in the demo form. About 30 got closer to the final form. We ended up recording 17 total. We put 10 of those, plus an intro, on the album.

Will any of the remaining songs see the light of day?

I think so. One of them was released as an iTunes exclusive, called "No Roads Left," and I think the other ones will eventually find their way out. We don't know exactly what we're going to do with them yet. We have four or five other songs that are kind of really good and almost done. So, I think so. A lot of them will probably never see the light of day. We're going to hide them and erase them, because they're horrible.

  2. They could at least include Given Up, In My Remains, and LOATR/SOTD/Iridescent...

Sucks that they keep releasing shows that we have broadcasts already for, but it's all good. Linkin JZE will be very happy. At least we get some good LT songs with this show.

Sucks even more that they won't release the full show.
  3. Looking like either Summer Sonic or SSMF. Obviously some songs would be cut.

I say it will be something we already have (Summer Sonic):

    A Place For My Head

    Papercut

    Given Up

    LOST IN THE ECHO

    Numb

    BURN IT DOWN

    In The End

    +

    2 songs we didn't have

Not only that this release was a DVD and definitely not these tracks, now there's also "Special Edition" for it.

The problem with the LPA wiki, is that I'm not sure if they're taking the wrong information from Wikipedia or vice versa. But it's very misleading for a lot of new people, or for the ones who doesn't really know the real background of the band.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fort_Minor_Militia_EP

Someone is taking wrong info from the LPA wiki and adding them to wikipedia, turning both websites useless for LP fans. Really sad. I'd say this is the most reliable source for LP related stuff at the moment.
  5. Reanimation

    What I've Done (Distorted Remix)

    L.O.A.T.R. (M.Shinoda Remix)

Wretches [Remix] (feat. LP, Ryu, Scoop Deville & Divine Styler)

Burn It Down (Hann With Gun Remix)

I'll Be Gone (Vice Remix feat. Pusha T)

Skin To Bone (Nick Catchdubs Remix feat. Cody B. Ware and Ryu)

    +

Sold My Soul to Yo Mama, if that counts

I usually don't care much for remixes (of any band). For me, most of them are nothing but the vocals of the original song over a (most of the times) electronic instrumental.

I like when the remix doesn't sound much like the original song and when new verses/vocals are added to it.

    I also like LP's more hip-hop side.

  6. Four: Megatron, Optimus, Starscream and Bumblebee.

    0:31

    lol

    Thanks. Added.

I just realized "Kingdom" was under "Unknown Year" and "A Thousand Suns" at the same time. lol

    Edit:

Does anyone know from which sessions "Milk / Buttermilk" is?

I find it weird that we have 2 titles for it, yet it's under "Unknown Year".

  7. Several 2005 interviews with Mike during the early "hype phase" for Fort Minor mentioned that he had remixed a track for U2.

I've also never seen any confirmation that there was actually a demo for the part Chester sings in Until it Breaks. It's so short and has so little to it (vocals, piano, little bit of strings), it could have been something they came up with during the final recording phase to serve as a transition between Apaches and Foot Patrol, since the tempo changes there. If there was a demo of it, I can't see why they wouldn't have included it with the other 3 on LPU 13.

Mike said there were "like four demos". You can say "this doesn't mean anything, he just didn't remember the exact number" but Brad also said there was a demo with Chester vocals, and you are right about that demo, it was short and had very little to it.

  8. Any known songs from High Rise that didn't make the cut?

Btw, a lot of the songs posted don't have some of the demo titles. Some songs had multiple demo titles. For example, ''Runaway'' should have ''Stick N Move'' as a demo title. Maybe they reworked parts of ''Stick N Move'' into ''Runaway'', similar to what they did with ''Fire In The City'' and ''21 Stitches'', but on LPU9 it's listed as a Runaway demo, so I'd say it was official. Also, ''Leave Out All The Rest'' also had ''When My Time Comes'' as a demo title and ''No Roads Left'' also had ''No Roads Left But One'' as a demo title, too. I'm sure there are more missing here.

"No Roads Left But One" was already there.

I'm not gonna add "Fire In The City" to Given Up because the band said it was a different song. Just like Blue vs. Crawling.

I didn't add "Stick And Move" to Runaway because we never got a "real demo" of Runaway named Stick And Move. What we have on LPU 9.0 is just the portion of the original song that they used on Runaway.

One of the beats from So Far Away was re-used on Soundtrack, so yes, they at least re-used a small portion of that song during the Meteora sessions.

The weird thing is, the LPTV part that has that beat in it isn't identical to the released versions of So Far Away OR Soundtrack, lol.

Should I add "reworked into Soundtrack" to So Far Away?
  9. No different than A Thousand Suns+ or Living Things+. Welcome to 4 years ago.

The DVD is probably going to be the Concert for the Philippines performance.

ATS+ was actually released in other places. I don't know about USA, but it was released in my country.

LT+ wasn't though. I haven't bought it because buying stuff from Europe is too fucking expensive. Specially from Amazon.

I will wait until we know the content of this DVD to see if it's really worth the price.

  10. Ok, so I've had a digital copy of the ''Let Down Single'' for years. My question is... it seems that every physical copy of it that I found online, ''Fire (Live)'' is the only bonus track for it? I also have a live version of Let Down that came with it, professionally mixed, that is different than the Let Down (Live) acoustic single that was released on iTunes, and it's also different than the version of Let Down included on the KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas compilation from 2009. Where is this from? Is it somehow not official?

    http://lplive.net/setlistssongs/dbsofficia...eleasedlive.php

If I remember right, the live version of Let Down is exclusive to the digital single and was only released in some countries (France is the only one I remember right now).

  11. You are forgetting the DJ Whoo Kid & LP song from 2007. Mike mentioned a few times in 2007 around the time of the Webster Hall show and he also said it at the Webster Hall show.

2005 - DJ Whoo Kid Feat. Mike Shinoda - Unknown Title

  12. Do we even know if Xero has a studio version of the song? Maybe there's only a studio version with Chester like the BMI entry?

It's possible, but, as you said somewhere, we know the band records everything they do. So there's also the possibility of the band having a version with Mark on vocals.

Since we have no confirmation from anyone from the band that there is a studio version by Xero, I'd say delete it. We will never hear it anyway.

2010 - Supercell - Black Rock Shooter (Joe Hahn Remix) (Full Version)

The opening theme is "Black Rock Shooter" (ブラック★ロックシューダー Burakku Rokku Shūtā?) by Supercell, sung by Hatsune Miku

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Rock_Shooter#Anime
  13. 199x - Xero - Pictureboard

There is a version with Chester.

    199x - Xero - Rhinestone (Altarnate Version)

2013 - Linkin Park - Castle Of Glass (Official Remix)

2010 - Supercell - Black Rock Shooter (Joe Hahn Remix) (Full Version)

I think you can add where we heard clips of these tracks.

The COG remix was from some LPTV episode, Rhinestone was from The Crow: Stairway to Heaven and the BRS remix is from the Black Rock Shooter blu-ray.

  14. I generally use Reprise to refer to like a Part 2 of a song, like Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band, or even the O song on the new Coldplay CD (but O is called Part 2 I think). For DMB, a reprise at their shows is when they play a song like Lie In Our Graves mid show and then play the 3 min outro/ending by itself in the encore.

"Reprise can refer to a version of a song which is similar to, yet different from, the song on which it is based."

The term can be used pretty loosely in music based on that definition. What you're saying about Carousel and Part Of Me (and And One, which is unreleased) being redone after the HTEP was released in order to enter them in the running for Hybrid Theory....is that a reprise? Is DMB even correct when they use reprise like that instead of using "Ending" or something? I definitely wouldn't call the HTEP Carousel and Part Of Me versions "demos" since they were officially released. If anything, I think the community referred to the redone one as like "Post-HTEP demos" or something.

The High Voltage version was essentially a remix. I'm surprised there is no official name for it since they call both versions (which are totally different) just High Voltage.

If it were the Part 2 of the EP version the band would have labeled it "High Voltage Part 2" or something like that.

I also don't think of it as a remix because it was never referred to as being a remix. It isn't labeled as "High Voltage (Remix)" anywhere.

Plus they remixed the 2000 version for Reanimation.

Yeah, the HTEP was an official release, so those are the 'default' versions of the tracks.

Also "And One" and "Part Of Me" were included on Songs From The Underground and weren't labeled as "demo".
  15. A guest in an interlude? sounds dumb.

It's not that rare. I can name some bands who had guests on interludes: Bullet For My Valentine, Limp Bizkit, Goldfinger, Charlie Brown Jr., The Roots, ...

12 tracks almost confirms that there is no space for interludes, I can't even see a instrumental track because of the electronic elements are sitting in the.back.this time.

A Thousand Suns had only 9 songs. The other tracks were all intro/interludes.

And you can make an instrumental track without any electronic elements.

    Edit:

It's interesting, because on the board with the names of songs, Drawbar was in parenthesis with Final Masquerade. I think that Drawbar is an interlude to Final Masquerade - something like Tinfoil/Powerless.

First of all, the tracklist looks very interesting. Tom Morello will give something different to the album for sure. But in the other hand i guess we already know which 3 or 4 songs maybe will be hard to play live, because the of the collabs.

Maybe that's the reason why they split "Final Masquerade" into 2 tracks?

So they would be able to play the song without Tom Morello.
