  1. A guest in an interlude? sounds dumb.

It's not that rare. I can name some bands who had guests on interludes: Bullet For My Valentine, Limp Bizkit, Goldfinger, Charlie Brown Jr., The Roots, ...

12 tracks almost confirms that there is no space for interludes, I can't even see a instrumental track because of the electronic elements are sitting in the.back.this time.

A Thousand Suns had only 9 songs. The other tracks were all intro/interludes.

And you can make an instrumental track without any electronic elements.

    Edit:

It's interesting, because on the board with the names of songs, Drawbar was in parenthesis with Final Masquerade. I think that Drawbar is an interlude to Final Masquerade - something like Tinfoil/Powerless.

First of all, the tracklist looks very interesting. Tom Morello will give something different to the album for sure. But in the other hand i guess we already know which 3 or 4 songs maybe will be hard to play live, because the of the collabs.

Maybe that's the reason why they split "Final Masquerade" into 2 tracks?

So they would be able to play the song without Tom Morello.

  2. You're actually the only one who is still making a big deal out of it.

Why are you even talking about nu-metal when I haven't seen anyone (but you) bringing it up in more than a year?

I'm not trying to defend nu-metal but I agree with TheDamian58C. Just because a genre is no longer mainstream, doesn't mean people don't play it anymore. I don't care if there are festivals and radio stations dedicated to these "out of style" genres. They are out there and this is a fact.

Also, you can see on almost every thread in the forums people saying they don't want Linkin Park to do another Hybrid Theory.

Like Qwerty18 said, if you take what the majority of the music fans say as an absolute truth, then Linkin Park is nothing but a crappy pop band. Even when Hybrid Theory had just came out and nu-metal was still popular, a lot of people were already saying this.

I know I also call Linkin Park a pop band but it's not like I hate all pop music. I love Seo Taiji and Michael Jackson for instance.

I really don't care if the next album is going to be nu-metal, heavy metal, punk rock, jazz, blues, bossa nova, polka or whatever, as long as it is good. And by "good" I mean something I will like listening to.

  3. "I don't know the name of" by Xero lol (from the LPUTV episode - Perth Jam 1, Xero Reborn).

I can't list things we don't know the name. lol

This should be added actually because it seems the band all remembers the song, just not the title. Reminds me a little of the part of Fuse that starts at 2:22, could it be it and maybe Phoenix just wasn't playing it perfectly? We need Astat.

Is it really "Fuse"? (I haven't watched the video)
  4. hi guys, i´m from peru. i downloaded LP-live from Madison Square Garden 2011 by Fuse but i was checking the setlist and From The Inside and Breaking The Habit wasn´t there. Somebody of you had the full show ?

    http://lplive.net/shows/20110204.php

Source 1: Video - PROSHOT (Fuse HD)

    Transfer: TV > VideoReDo > 1080i .TS

    Taper: DeeSeven

    Time: 85:47 mins

    Format: .ts (1080i) / 7.82 GB

Comments: Censored. Low bitrate. 'From The Inside' and 'Breaking The Habit' were not broadcasted.

  5. Was Download for donate not released in 2008 ? Sounds obviously to me that Not Alone was a MTM demo. Universe was also a MTM demo (we know that now from the LPU13 release), which is used for a song by Lupe Fiasco which is also on download to donate. Due to the Tour in 2008 in Europe and later in the states, I think it is obvious that Not alone was a MTM demo.

Blackbirds and ATL were released in 2009, all other MTM demos comes right after that.

"Not Alone", "Resurrection", and "Blackbirds" were released in 2010.
  6. Just found this:

Linkin Park Castle of Glass Music Video - Making Of feat. Digital Domain

A behind the scene look into the visual effects of Linkin Park's music video, Castle of Glass. VFX by Digital Domain.

Also, Ghost Town Media's Vimeo channel has a lot of similar videos from "Iridescent", "Waiting For The End", "Burning In The Skies" and "The Catalyst":

  7. Page Hamilton - vocals on "All For Nothing"

I know you won't add this until the album comes out but I'm leaving this here so we won't forget:

Page Hamilton - vocals on "All For Nothing"

    + guitar
    Source

Daron Malakian (System Of A Down / Scars On Broadway) - guitar and bass on "Rebellion"

    Edit:
The David Banner thing still needs to be fixed.

Rob Cavallo - producer on "Wastelands"
    Source

Emile Haynie - producer/songwriter/composer on "Final Masquerade"
    Source

    Edit:
Tom Morello (Lock Up / Rage Against The Machine / Audioslave / The Nightwatchman / Street Sweeper Social Club) - guitar on "Drawbar"
  8. Most of the instrumentals/interludes are pointless.

Tinfoil was the intro of Powerless.

Foreword was the intro of Don't Stay.

The Radiance was the intro of Burning In The Skies.

Wisdom, Justice, And Love was the intro of Iridescent.

No reason to split one song into 2 tracks.

  9. I don't know if you guys are familiar with The Beatles' Anthology. It's basically a three-volume compilation of b-sides, demos, unreleased songs and even some rare live tracks (like covers).

I was looking at all the Linkin Park demos, alternative mixes and b-sides we have and thought "Linkin Park already have enough crap to make an 'Anthology' of their own".

This is my idea of how it would look like.

I tried not to include any incomple (stuff missing chorus, verses, etc.) or instrumental demos or any AUD recordings.

I also tried not to include more than one version of the same song on each "album".

What would you guys like to see on a "Linkin Park Anthology"?

    Mike Shinoda:

    • Magic Doors (Portishead Remix; With/Feat. Styles Of Beyond and Green Lantern) - ???'s YouTube Account

I'm not sure, but maybe it fits Remixed/Produced By list more?

It's not even a remix. They just rapped over the instrumental of another song. Same thing they did with "Dolla", "Bloc Party", "S.C.O.M.", and "All Night".

    Edit:

I think this should be on the list:

    http://lplive.net/forum/index.php?showtopi...st&p=185102

    At least under "Semi-official remixes".

  11. Unless the demos on the 8-track CD were done before the HTEP like some other demos (Slip/Blue/first version of Esaul), they would have to be post-HTEP. That timeline really wouldn't make much sense either, because it would mean they went 8-track (Carousel/Part of Me demos) > HTEP ("polished" versions) > 9-track (reverting back to demos?).

    Off topic:

I feel like we should make a "guide" with the dates of all these demo CDs (maybe we could add it to the Demos Thread?)
