Good guess on Bleed It Out. Definitely possible they start collaborating with him on Bleed It Out. I think this show has two distinct opportunities. One - the band debuts a completely revamped second setlist. Anything short of that is unacceptable to me, seriously, as they have had almost two years between European Tours and have rehearsed for months for this world tour. Surely they didn't spend all that time on one setlist. Even a festival set and headlining set changing 2-3 songs like the Carnivores set is not good. They have rotated setlists in Europe with fewer shows and this is the largest headlining tour of Europe in their career. In 2010, Mike changed Papercut/Messenger for LFY/LOATR because of what he saw on LPLive about the same setlist all tour, and then brought in FTI in the second set because of it. He knows. Rob knows, he mentioned at the LPU M&G in 2015 that he understands fans have lost incentive to see multiple shows. Now is the time to show it....drop that second setlist with a different opener, different order, 4-5 different songs, and a different encore run. I've defended the new setlist a lot on this forum and for the first time this cycle I'll be pretty let down if they don't drop a completely different second set. 18 shows is a lot for LP. The catalogue is massive. Two - Mercedes has a lot of influence over the band. If brands could have relationships, Mercedes and LP would be on their tenth honeymoon. It wouldn't shock me if the "surprise" is One More Light in full. Maybe for the only time, or they do it for "One More Night in London" too. They'd probably advertise that, though. Who knows. If they just swap something like Battle Symphony for Sharp Edges, then ouch. Also, shoutout to that epic NMS video from Berlin 2007 being 10 years old....wow. I remember when that video surfaced and the fanbase went wild.

Yeah I like GATS, I wish they'd open the encore with it. I like ALITS a lot too. I mean it's no secret I love HT, Meteora, MTM, and ATS the most and I dislike the lack of cohesive flow on LT and THP....not getting into OML, lmao. I'd have a 2007 set with 8 straight heavy songs, a few mellow ones like LOATR, then more of ALITS/GATS, I'd debut Powerless, keep in BITS, play Reading My Eyes, APFMH, etc. TLTGYA.

Compare literally any crowd video of GATS > Given Up to Talking To Myself > Burn It Down and you'll be proven wrong. Literally polar opposite reactions. The band might as well have played an acoustic song instead of GATS with how "WTF" the crowd reacted. Place explodes on TTM.

I think one more for the headlining setlist that they've been playing. What's funny is that it hasn't been played ten times yet, lmao. Berlin I think we see Set B with Sharp Edges and 3 other songs. They seriously need a different opener, set closer, encore in that set with a different order etc. Don't just change like 3 songs in and out like the 2014 sets. C'mon.

Realistic setlist 2 for the 2017 tour: Fallout The Catalyst Waiting For The End New Divide Castle Of Glass Talking To Myself Points Of Authority Nobody Can Save Me Burn It Down Sharp Edges What I've Done Heavy Powerless Burning In The Skies Numb Breaking The Habit One More Light Final Masquerade From The Inside In The End Faint --------------------- Crawling (Piano) Leave Out All The Rest One Step Closer Bleed It Out Minus the song from THP + add another ATS song (BITS), swap Papercut for POA, swap LITE for Powerless, change entire order, swap SIB for FTI, move the order some more, add Sharp Edges and Nobody Can Save Me and drop Good Goodbye and Battle Symphony. Tweak the order more. Then tweak it again, and once more for good luck. And we have a set 2 that encourages people to see multiple shows because of how many different songs there are.

I don't see how you can say they are equal of the mid-set dragging. Do you realize how boring the 2014-2015 sets got? I sat down on the lawn or walked around the venue. Ballad Medley, Robot Boy (short), Joe Solo Medley, Burn It Down in a row is as bad as it can get, and then Final Masquerade (one of the worst songs in the catalogue) into the stagnant Mike Solo Medley where he refused to change the verses up. Ouch. What is the worst part of this current setlist? It certainly isn't WFTE, BTH, OML, Crawling, LOATR. Wow that's a good run there of slower stuff. I guess you could say it's Battle Symphony (which the band continually messes up and should be dropped ASAP for Nobody Can Save Me or Sorry For Now), New Divide, and Invisible. I'll take that over the 2014-2015 dragging all day, because two of those are least brand new songs that I haven't seen live and New Divide is better than Burn It Down.

It was fine at Maximus, twice. You are never going more than 2 songs between hearing a song you know, because of how many singles LP has. Mike structured the set that was on purpose. Half the setlist for years has been songs people don't know, lmao, if you're going by "people only know the big ass singles." They should totally for Hellfest play Requiem > Burning In The Skies, Battle Symphony, Invisible, One More Light, Crawling piano, Burn It Down piano, Shadow Of The Day, Iridescent, etc to start that setlist

Problem for me was no one in the crowd knew GATS. Weird way to start a show especially with the muted sound intro into the huge instrumental portion of GATS. Didn't get anyone going, place was a dead standstill. Not enjoyable at all. Blackout is short, Papercut is short, Runaway is short. Not a huge fan of Wastelands. That start to the set didn't do it for me....really disappointing with the short Papercut. Make the songs full and that's much better. The rest of the set beyond that was pretty bad. New set flows a lot better. In THP era, this was great to me: Papercut, Given Up, Rebellion, POA, OSC, ALITS, FTI. Wow, what a start. Other memorable ones: 2012: APFMH, Given Up, Faint, With You, Runaway, FTI, SIB 2007 (my favorite): Wake, Given Up, NMS, LFY, Don't Stay, SIB, FTI, Papercut, POA

I'm not sure how anyone can defend the opinion that the 2014 setlists, specifically on Carnivores Tour, were better than the current setlist. It is an absolute relief to be in an era where the setlists don't contain shortened songs everywhere, striptease versions, random rap verses here and there, instrumentals everywhere, etc. Those are miserable shows. 2015 fixed a lot of it, but not all of it. Right now we are just dealing with a barely shortened Catalyst and the LITE version is longer than the one I saw in 2014. We are getting more full songs in this current setlist JUST from the back catalogue, excluding new songs from OML. If you hate OML, you are getting a full headlining setlist regardless. Take all the OML songs out and you're at still a longer setlist than the headlining shows in the Meteora era.

Hellfest probably paid big money. Maybe more than a headlining show would earn. I don't know if they'll change the setlist but we will see. Nine Inch Nails famously was booked for Sonisphere 2009 with a super heavy lineup. About as quiet as it gets. It'd be funny if LP did the same, but they aren't risky enough to do that. I'd totally do In Between, In Pieces, OML, piano songs, etc. People are going to come to see LP. Day passes were sold later after it sold out.

You can't hear any booing in the OML video so it must not have been a problem. This set is fine. Needs more aggressive stuff in my opinion but it works. I think they're going to play it 1-2 times then debut a second set. If not, that's pretty disappointing because they've toured Europe with 3 setlists with less shows than this.

I wish they'd open with it. Fallout/Roads Untraveled > Catalyst. I like Talking To Myself but it's dumb to me to have Fallout in one part of the set and Catalyst in another, but they aren't together.

Damn I agree, Catalyst sounds fantastic now. It got old in 2012 to me, but moving it way up in the set has really helped it. Awesome song.

The story about the China deal is that it was a government restriction on the M&Gs. Literally the Chinese are so insane you have to have some sort of permit for the M&G. Makes no sense. No idea about Berlin.

Wastelands is the weakest song in the set besides the OML songs.

Too many unknowns like Canvas says. We want it but we've reached out to him so many times over the years for either his communication to stop completely or something falls apart in the process. The money is too much. Not worth raising that much for just a few songs.

They rehearsed almost nonstop in January and February, weeks and weeks of rehearsing to figure out all of this stuff. Surely they prepared more than just these songs. It's their largest European headlining tour ever, if they don't rotate setlists that is really disappointing.

My guess is full set but they change a few things. Dropping something like Crawling for Sharp Edges. Then a second set somewhere with more heavy stuff.
