  1. lol @ biased first sentence Agreed with the second statement. LPU 9 will make it go by a lot quicker and it does seem now they are fully focused and in gear.
  2. Well I'd say it's a safe assumption seeing as Mike didn't "sing" LP songs until really Minutes To Midnight, and this was 9 years before that. Highly doubt Mike is singing the full song himself on Stick N Move. Did you totally miss the entire LPU 9 tracklisting news? You seem totally out of the loop and have no idea what you're talking about it, lol. The tracklisting was announced on the LPU days ago.
  3. Mike mentioned one day he eventually wanted to give fans 3-4 new songs every few months so they can continually tour while making new music at the same time. Thoughts on this update: - Woot @ longer songs; that's badass - I'm not gonna lie, they are a lot further behind than I thought they were...I was expecting them to have 15-20 actual song songs now that they're tidying up for the CD...didn't know they were at this stage - Please no 12 track CD again. There are numbers higher than 12. Seconded what Preston said - it's taken them a full year and they've accomplished: - New Divide (2-3 weeks) - Short summer tour of a month and a half (Transformers gig included) - 5 songs they're "trying to focus on" Atreyu hit the studio right before LP and just dropped their new CD. The Bravery has new material, 10 Years is debuting new material live in December and have been in LA mixing the CD recently, Hawthorne Heights is about to drop a new record.... LP takes way too long in making an album in my opinion. Chester can't focus with LP right now...like I said before, DBS is really slowing down the album process. I seriously doubt the record is coming out in 2010 if all they've done so far is this. Sounds like a January-March 2011 release in my opinion maybe. Thank god for LPU 9
  4. I'm most excited for: Drum Song because I really want to hear Mike sing that shit as well as alt drums/guitar solo...I love the song And if I had to pick a 2nd I'd say Drawing. BTH baby BTH!!!
  5. Don't blame me, I actually didn't do it this time - blame LP for the lack of news (haha, jk jk)...but since I literally have nothing to post that's news-related, I thought I'd ask a question: If you could pick ONE LPU 9 track that you were most excited for - which one would it be, and why? And if you could pick TWO, what would your second one be - and why? An example answer would be "I'd like to hear Faint and Breaking The Habit because they're from Meteora" - an example answer would NOT be "I'd like to hear them all becuz LP rox my sox". Go!

    LPLive 4.0

Dropping before December and the LPU 9 release? I think so. Excited?
  7. At this point DBS is putting a hold on the main priority - Linkin Park. DBS is holding up the album, holding up progress, holding up the entire situation. If it wasn't for DBS I am confident the LP album would drop months sooner. LP comes first, not DBS, no matter how long it's been since he's written these songs. The LP album keeps getting delayed and delayed and delayed...first it was "album out before the end of 2009", then "album out in early 2010", now 'album out sometime in 2010". DBS is alright but I'd rather have a new LP album and LP tour instead of DBS touring continuously throughout the winter (February).
  8. Disagree. Would rather Chester close the situation down, go back to LP in December and get the record out ASAP.
  9. As some of you missed the Get Busy Committee chat tonight, I thought I'd give a few notes on what all went down... Ryu, Apathy, Scoop DeVille, Bishop LaMont and Cheapshot all made appearances, answering questions and just chilling. Mainly Bishop was doing work on his new mixtape "Team America". However, Apathy said he's been bothering Mike recently to make another Fort Minor album soon, but LP is front-and-center...taking priority, which is good to hear, but it's interesting that he's open to the possibility of making a second record. Maybe after the next LP album, Chester and Mike will do Fort Minor and Dead By Sunrise at the same time? Do I hear a joint tour someday? Following a VERY successful release of their debut album, the Get Busy Committee guys are already working on the next album, which is also great to hear. They also announced Cheapshot will be releasing a full remix album of "Uzi Does It" next week...badass! Reseda Beach - Ryu said that they wanted to release it in the same way they released the GBC record...but he wants to "make something big out of it"...however he did say "forget Reseda Beach for now", so I guess we won't get it before 2010. Thanks to Richard for getting the shoutouts for LPLive and all...and of course thanks to Jay for always keeping me in the loop on stuff. SOBCentral, rep! Jay wanted me to mention the cool dude Ian from TopSpin as well, so what's up to you too. If you haven't attended a chat, I recommend you drop by sometime...these guys are awesome.
  10. Both Travis and Slash seem to have fucking EPIC solo albums coming out - hope we finally get some new good music...can't wait.
  11. Final thoughts: A-Six: Very very interesting to me that this song appeared. Can't really make any comments until I hear it, but maybe it was some like 3 min heavy instrumental that they shortened down...hmm. Faint: If this has the David Campbell strings and some different verses, then jesus. Talk about awesome. Sad: First version of By Myself? Wonder how much different it is than Super Xero.... Fear: Mike on vocals; yesssssss. Glad this is making the light of day! I bet this will school "In Between" and show us again how good Mike is vocally at singing songs like LOATR and No Roads Left. Figure.09: Rapping or singing in the verses, hmm. One of my favorite Meteora songs, glad it was chosen for this. Stick And Move: Chester on vocals! I wonder if Mike's verses are different, or if there's even rapping still in it. This version will tie together the Xero version and the Hybrid Theory song "Runaway" nicely I bet. Very cool pick for the CD - I remember we talked a few months ago how Chester recorded vocals for the Xero songs...glad to see one making the light of day! Cool move too by not picking RME since they already do that one live! Across The Line: Mike said this song was "Japan". Very interesting. I wonder how much it evolved...I bet it sounds pretty cool. Any MTM b-side we get is A+! Drawing: Is this going to be a long drawn out instrumental maybe? Excited for this song - BTH is an anthem. So glad they chose BTH instead of SIB for the CD! Drum Song: Hope we get Mike on vocals for part of the song. Since the intro ambient noises seem unlikely for a demo, I'm interested in seeing how much different the demo is in terms of the instrumental. If there's a combo of Mike and Chester on vocals and maybe different drumming...I think this will be the best song on the CD. TLTGYA is one of my favorite songs LP has ever done, I REALLY like it, so I think this demo will be awesome. This is the song I am most looking forward to on the CD...When I heard "demos" the first song I wanted was this. Soooo excited for Drum Song.
  12. Badassssssssss Really excited. Tracklisting is one that is very creative and has clearly been thought out well. Wow. It's not just "Let's throw all the demos of singles on there". It's almost like they fucking checked the message boards and took requests. This is incredible.
  13. I agree with everything you said but this. Don't underestimate Mike / LPU. Who knows how long this has been in the works for. They downloaded RME on a fansite in 2006 before they played it live...I'm sure they did research on this to see what we have and don't have. I'm willing to put money on it that Sad is a version we don't have.
  14. I'm not the guy that usually examines statistics or anything, but Sotrix brought up some interesting stats to me today when we were chatting. I thought I'd share a few that I thought were neat. When you talk about "unique visitors", the term refers to how many DIFFERENT people across the world visit the website. In October 2008, we had 21,032 of these. In October 2009, we had 52,733. You guys over doubled it.... Wow! Of course, this number changes ALL the time. Since LPLive covers, you know, the live shows, we always get a LOT more visitors when LP starts a tour. For example, in July 2009 we had 103,603 unique visitors totaling 181,486 visits, 1,016,761 pages viewed, 26,814,914 hits, and 1,211.80 GB worth of bandwidth. Ouch! We've got 5.11% of people using dialup, 6.5% on Macs, 1.34% on iPhones, and 0.04% on Wii's. People check out LPL from their phones and Wii's? Haha, dang. Randomly, Germans spend an average of 10 minutes and 53 seconds on the site while Americans are just at 2 minutes and 53 seconds. Hmmmm.... And the top 10 countries with visitors to LPL: USA, Germany, Ukraine, China (!), Russia, England, Brazil, Poland, Spain & Canada with several thousand interestingly from Mexico. And lastly, 74% of visitors last month were "direct" visitors. This means that you visited LPLive either by typing it into your browser or clicking a bookmark you had...it means you didn't get here via Google, Yahoo or any other search engine. 15,563 people that did that in October. Wow! These numbers aren't "extraordinary" by any means of course but I just thought I'd give you all an update on how LPL is doing these days. I truly mean it when I say thank you. I never thought this "project" would get this far in just several years. You guys are really cool & supportive and I'd just like to say that I really appreciate it. If anything, this makes me feel like I need to "step it up", get 4.0 out sooner, get more stuff for you guys, get t-shirts done, etc...I'll see what I can do! Thanks guys! I hope in 2010 we'll continue to grow!
  15. 1. Way too god damn early for LP to decide on setlists for 2010. The album isn't even done, lol. Who knows what they'll do in 2010 - I hope we get a Hybrid Theory Anniversary Tour for at least part of the year and get the entire CD played live, but that's just me. Maybe 12 HT tracks and a compilation of new shit & singles from MTM & Meteora. 2. Australia 07 isn't going to be released. 3. A new live CD/DVD from 04-07. My two cents on that is that we need to ask Mike, Rob or whoever the fuck we can if LP can expand their DSP idea and start selling older shows. We know the band has recorded lots of previous shows - why not throw some up there like Metallica did. Even one from each year/tour would be epic. Imagine...PR02, PR03, LPU03, SS03, Nov03, Asia/Europe03, MWT04, Asia/Europe04, PR04, SS06. Epic.
  16. Very true. LP is fucking weird, they said there's no Meteora demos then bam we get this announcement. I guess Stick N Move could have Chester on it, I dunno. I call bullshit on the whole thing because of A.06 and I think my reasoning is good enough due to that. Long version? LPU 2.0 Release Date: November 21st, 2002, and A.06 appeared on that. It was played twice in March 2003 and once in September 2004 that we know of. I don't see why they would have toned it down and played a shorter version of it if there was such a thing as a long version, but who knows. LP is very unpredictable on things like this, so we'll see. But my call is that it's a fake tracklisting due to A.06. If I'm wrong I'm wrong. Lastly: - Why in the world would a Japanese CD retailer be selling it? Wasn't LPU 7/8 exclusive to Bandmerch/Best Buy? - "Sad"? By Myself demo was called Super Xero / Super Zero. WTF is "Sad"? Sounds like they took the demo names we know (Drawing, Drum Song, Fear) and used those - there's no "new demo names" except Sad, but like I said, that's not what BM was referred to on the promo CDs. I say the whole thing is a concocted story, lol.
  17. You never know, they could be working on it already. I actually bet they are. The crew said LP wasn't playing another tour until next summer, and then Ana got confirmation from Mike & Phi @ the Grafen M&G that they were doing Rock am Ring / Rock im Park, so why wouldn't they do this too? Seems pretty likely in my opinion. I think it'd be cool, LP in Spain again would rock. LP books shit insanely far in advance. Announcing it is another thing.
  18. Need some confirmation. A.06 and Stick N Move seem unlikely. 1. A.06 (Original Long Version 2002) Seems unlikely, lol. Definitely the one I'd consider to be fake. LP has played it 3 times live and we have recordings of 2, so I think there was no longer version. 2. Faint (Demo 2002) Sweet. Drum intro is different, the Meteora booklet says the violin intro was a lot slower...fuck yeah. 3. Sad ("By Myself" demo 1999) Waste of space, we've got BM...eh. 4. Fear ( "Leave Out All the Rest" Demo 2006) Not a big fan of the song but Mike on vocals would be cool I guess. 5. Figure 09 (Demo 2002) Oh hell yeah, that's badass. The clip from the Meteora DVD showed us that the demo was totally different. Mike rapping sounds totally different and the instrumental sounds a lot more "raw". Oh sweet. 6. Stick-n-Move ("Runaway" Demo 1998) Hope it's not the same version! 7. Across the Line (Previously unreleased 2007 Demo) Interesting name. Wonder if it's the 6th string song. 8. Drawings ( "Breaking the Habit" Demo 2002) Epic. BTH demo. I'd love some huge 6 minute drawn out instrumental of epicness. 9. Drum Song ( "Little Things Give You Away" Demo 2006) If Mike is on vocals for part of the song, this is the winner of the best track on LPU 9 award. I love TLTGYA. The LPUTV13 clip of it...oh man. Interesting that there's not one or more of the following: Somewhere I Belong, Lying From You, Bleed It Out, No More Sorrow, Numb, Given Up. SIB went through over 18 different choruses so that's a surprise.
  19. PM it to me please if you will Let Down acoustic, I mean.
  20. From a press release over at SOBCentral by my good friend Jay: "In conjunction with the official release date of his new GBC album "Uzi Does It" on the 12th, RYU will be joining SOBCentral for another edition of his legendary Live UStream Video Chats! Here's what info you need to know :: Who :: RYU w/ Special Guests Apathy and Scoop DeVille What :: Live UStream Video Chat Where :: RYU's Official UStream Channel (RYUTube) When :: Thursday, November 12th @ 5PM Pacific / 7PM Central / 8PM Eastern" Another video chat; sweet. The last few Ryu did actually were very cool - he played us part of Reseda Beach and just talked about whatever we had to ask him. Like I've said before, Ryu is one of the most down to earth musicians I've talked to, and you can't go wrong with Apathy and Scoop in there too since they're both hilarious as well. This should be a fun event! Thanks Jay!
  21. I think people are being a bit harsh towards Paramore, damn. They are a good band, I like Paramore. Some of the things said really surprise me.
  22. Congratulations but I could give a fuck less on who gets offended by something like that - LPL has freedom of speech to a certain extent, I see nothing wrong with Ladygaga (the LPL user). And for the record, Ignorance video destroys New Divide in my opinion. Cheating is never the way to win, though.
  23. Let Down from Vegas is fucking incredible, I'll say it again, lol
  24. WTF? MFR 05? MFR 05 has nothing to do with DBS, lol.
  25. Thanks. Actually didn't notice that for some reason, so I added it...excellent.
