Hi Jeff, I'll explain to you again. "The music videos of Crawling Papercut and in the end were made after the success of the LP", You have the making of HT on the Pankake festival DVD, which is on the boxset. As for the others, haven't you considered that maybe, and just maybe, doesn't exist a making of? Let's analyze the "already seen concerts". shall we? Fillmore 2001 - Just two songs prior released, the rest of the show was completely new Rock Am Ring 2001 - Yeah, in this sole case, they should have released something like the Docklands Arena show. You want to throw it out a whole boxset just because of that? That's up to you PR02 - Completely unreleased. The argument "publish something that the fans want", if we applied that to the entire LP career, they've probably would have been forgotten as another nu metal band of that era. Besides, you tend to speak as you represented the entire LP fanbase. Let me tell you a secret: I could care less about dozens of Xero demos that probably were mediocre or plain bad. I'm happy with what we got Jeff, good luck releasing your demos.

Grey Daze Performing Live @ 98KUPD FM Radio’s U Fest 2023

I program ChatGTP to defend Grey Daze. And also multimillionaire. -
I'm sorry, but you've taken HT20 completely wrong or you're Jeff using ChatGTP as a disguise. Yes, the band recorded dozens of things, but first and foremost they don't have to release everything, for their own private reasons. We, as a fans, sometimes we acted as a bunch of spoiled kids in the past, like in the LPU8 or LPU16 cases. Instead of complaining about what we don't have, what about if we appreciate what we got? Most of bands doesn't take care of their fanbase as LP does, releasing demos each fucking year from their vault. It's incredible after all these years we still had unreleased material, after leaking stuff from that period for a long time. Secondly, I think this anniversary has distorted your take on reality, you can't ask for SBD recordings of every show or a making of the album, because it doesn't fucking exist. The LP who recorded Meteora was the jewel of the crown for Warner, for that they destined resources (for beginners, money), for everything LP does because they pretty know for sure that this investment is going to have a return (for beginners, again, it's called business). The LP who recorded Hybrid Theory was, in the other hand, a band who wasn't even trusted by his own manager. How the fuck are they're gonna invest money in something they don't truly believe? "Hey, we're executives at Warner with a crystal ball and we've have seen that this band we actually despise is going to break the mold with this record, so let's film everything" And after this rant, I think I'm gonna to open my boxset and watch my PR02 DVD, which I just discovered that it has been around in the internet since 2002, since there wasn't any second of new footage and I didn't notice.

What's next for birthday? Is collision course 20th possible?

A short live EP "Live at the Roxy". I'm sure nobody would oppose to that little cashgrab 🤣 -

The Roxy LP set for a new LPU CD would be a fantastic idea -
The typical LPLive forum holy grail, for example

A Godsmack show isn't a good place for a band like GD. But you have to go where they call you... -
Has Jeff always been that sketchy?
-
The more we dig, the more smoke and mirrors I see.
-
You sum up perfectly. Maybe we should do a list with their greatest hits and misses

Grey Daze was your ordinary local band. You can't expect them to do everything as a professional band. It's not their job, they aren't used to it. -
That's not something that many people do, knowing on which kind of group you're moving and accordingly behaving. He isn't gonna snort three lines in front of LP, for that he has his other friends.

The good thing is you have way less people comparing you at the first show. Less pressure -

I would do it, no brainer. This guy has a once-in-a-lifetime-chance. He should grab it. And no, I'm far from being a Grey Daze fan or even feel some degree of sympathy for Sean, but Cris isn't to blame. I'm glad for him -

Just a theory, I think after IV they kinda stagnate. I love their music, but it isn't the most innovative piece of art in word. They tried really hard in "When Legends Rise" to reach wider audiences, but their old school fans didn't accepted that sound quite well and the general public didn't change their thoughts about them, so they felt into middle ground. In the end, I get it, they took the Legacy band approach "why I'm gonna waste more time making music if you just want to listen the same shit over and over again?" -

A singer from a tribute band to "replace" Chester? Not a bad option, to be honest. I already have many issues with Grey Daze, but this one seems one of their few good ideas. -
Meteora (20th Anniversary Edition) | Out April 7, 2023

Maybe the Don't Stay and Nobody's Listening weren't included because they were almost identical to the final versions, a different working name doesn't have to mean a drastically different song -
Part of the success of Linkin Park and it's barely mentioned is that they were five functional adults and one semi functional that was helped by the other five to become a fully functional too. How many histories we've heard about band breaking up or in the verge of doing it because they weren't capable to behave like grown ups? You won't hear any crazy drug related history like at the Glam scene or some internal warfare shit like in Metallica. The behind-the-scenes Linkin Park is pretty boring. And although I love a disgusting decadent story, I'm glad they didn't follow that path.

Let's say that Jeff know the grey areas of the law (which probably is true) and he gets away with it. What does he gain pissing off a band which he had a bitter relationship with, and he even has published a book about how he discovered them and gain some money with that, adding more fuel to the band's discontent. Really, what's his main goal? I see can't see any positive outcome in any way.
-
So, the short answer would be that the project was a mess from minute 0. I don't get why LP encouraged to share the shows. In fact, who initiated that idea at first? Seems like they knew that recording and selling every show was going to be overwhelming for their crew, maybe self sabotaging? Cold hard truth is, they aren't released because no one wants to enter a legal battle to make happy a tiny fraction of the fanbase, I mean us
-
That fucking hurts.
-
Doesn't bother you a bit that they only released half of the show? It wouldn't ruin my experience, but I'd be a little bit upset about it
-
In fact, didn't a couple of tracks of that show leaked from a Mike's hard drive or something? I remember the quality of those was INSANE. Another legendary non released DVD like Berlin 2014. PS: lucky bastard, you saw one of their best encores with the Lying/Papercut medley, Faint and OSC
