  1. I can see this scenario happening, but I think he was part of HT20, wasn't he? There were a few comments from him in the HT20 book and he was present in the livestream as far as I remember.
  2. Isn't Forgotten the last one in the unmastered HT tracklist? https://linkinpedia.com/wiki/Hybrid_Theory_(Unmastered_Studio_Finals_5/7/00) That's what Linkinpedia says at least
  3. I've just listened to Friendly Fire for the first time. What a song! I love it. The minimalistic beginning is awesome. The verses and chorus are powerful and catchy. The bridge is probably the weakest part of the song. The production of One More Light album is incredible and it's visible with this release as well. Polished, clear sound - beautiful! The acoustic guitar and drums here sound great as well. I hope we'll be able to listen to some more songs from OML sessions - we know that they worked on the vocals and lyrics first so I think there's a huge possibility that they have a lot of songs with vocals.
  4. Is it your assumption or a leak? If the latter, do you know how many unreleased songs we're going to get?
  5. Exactly! I immediately thought "that could have been an intro to Faint in 2023 LP tour" if... 🥲 It has this typical feeling of different extended intros from the band throughout the years.
  6. Can't wait for it to be released 😉👀
  7. I remember that as well. I was convinced it was in this Q&A but I went through it quickly and I couldn't find it. If you have time, you can watch it in full and maybe it's there. I kind of remember his outfit when he said that and in this Q&A it was the closest to the image I see in my head. I'm not sure though!
  8. So the mystery of some of the lyrics from Meteora wall still hasn't been resolved? From the Lost Demos CD from Meteora 20 we only have "Somebody angry broken" in "More the Victim" but other lines are still from unknown songs? To be fair, I thought that all of the lyrics would be finally there. Some of the lines seem like they would fit in "Numb" demo: "I've carried this weight for too long... Disassociated, unappreciated. And everything I've hated, keeping me so jaded" goes well with the rhythm and melody of the verse of "Numb". But there are still some that don't fit anywhere, right?
  9. Some thoughts from me after a few listens: Lost - I have listened to this song so many times that it lost a bit of magic for me and it became an "ordinary thing", but this doesn't change my opinion about it; it's an amazing track; the chorus and bridge are so powerful and they work wonderfully in contrast to beautiful and tender verses; Chester's vocal delivery is incredible; I'm glad that they mixed it again for this release - thanks to that, it basically sounds like a new song created in 2023; I'm grateful that the band has released this song - it's simply awesome; I don't know if it should have replaced any song on the album - after the premiere of Lost I was convinced that it should have taken the place of Hit the Floor or Nobody's Listening but I agree with Mike and Brad that it has the same energy as Numb; they wouldn't work well together; even though Lost is a song better than some tracks that are on Meteora, stuff like HTF or NL have different vibe that was certainly needed in this album as well Fighting Myself - I had abstained from listening to this song after its official premiere and rightly so! my only experience with this song before yesterday's listens was the radio rip that I had listened to maybe twice and I believe it was a right decision because in the end I had more "new songs" to admire yesterday; it's a great song as well; I especially like Mike's verses - his flow in this track sounds even a bit modern in my opinion; it could have easily found its place on Meteora... the bridge is great as well, especially vocal transition to the last chorus - beautiful! Chester's voice was so powerful at that time; the reversed vocal sample sounds very cool as well and adds an interesting texture to the track More the Victim - I'd listened to the radio rip a lot so yesterday it was just an upgrade of quality for me; it's such a great song as well; I like Mike's raps, Chester's vocals, the instrumental sounds huge - I like the combination of strings and synths here; the drums sound great as well - they have a lot of punch as if they were recorded and mixed recently; my favourite part is the pre-chorus, Chester's vocals are beautiful there ("I used to be as innocent as you...", wow!); it's such a gem! it lost a bit of magic for me as well becuase I've listened to it a lot but what can I do?! Massive - with this one I'm a bit disappointed but only because I read a lot of positive comments about it and got hyped; it's a cool song, guitar riffs are dope (especially in the bridge) but this song feels really "demoish"; the praise of Mike's vocals here is simply an overrecation, I think; I kinda like his delivery in the verses, especially how he transitions from singing to rapping just before the chorus, but his singing in the chorus is weak and simply worked as a sketch to show how Chester was supposed to sing it (similarly to Breaking the Habit); I'm not a big fan of the chorus melody anyway; it's a nice song to have and I'll listen to it often but it's not something that I'll rave about Healing Foot - YES! this one is the hidden gem; it sounds finished to my ears; Mike's flow is awesome, the chorus is great and I absolutely love the instrumental; the piano melody (so popular even before we got to know the song) is magical; I like the production as well; even though it's a demo from 2002, it sounds very good; the mix of the piano and strings/synths is awesome and sounds modern; I don't know what else to say - this song along with Lost, More the Victim and Fighting Myself is a treasure! I don't know why but for me it feels like "as if LP created a new album in the style of Meteora" - it has a bit of new twist to the classic LP style, I cannot really explain it properly; for so many years I'd wanted to finally listen to the Rob's Drum Track from the Making Of and I didn't expect it to be such a wonderful song! Resolution - I like the piano very much; the instrumental really has some kind of mysterious and mystical atmosphere (The Wizard Song, huh?), something I've never heard from LP before; Mike's verses are cool but a bit worse, in my opinion, than those on Healing Foot, Fighting Myself or More the Victim; I like the part right before the chorus, it has a nice synth; the chorus itself is a bit too trivial with this heavy guitar playing only power chords turned up so much that you cannot hear anything else; it's just a demo though so I'm not complaining... I wish the song had vocals from Chester! Some thoughts about other tracks: - Mike's verses in A6 are great! I like the abstract imagery in the lyrics; I cannot believe that it's not a version with Chester's vocals... we've got 3 or 4 different versions of this song and it's still not a version with some singing! I truly believe that there is a version with Chester's vocals somewhere - I don't know why they didn't give it to us; they'll release it for the 40th anniversary? I understand keeping some extra stuff with Chester for some other occasions but I think it's not appropriate if it's the same track again but with some slight changes; I have enough of A6 - give us the version with full vocals! 😂 Yeah, but seriously, I cannot complain - we've got so much great stuff that I'm okay with them withholding something - Husky has a nice hip-hop drumbeat in the verses that is not present in the final version and got replaced with real drums; I wish they kept it just like in the demo version; I like the outro here more as well - I don't like Cuidado at all; it's nice to have a demo of Lying from You, it's one of my favourite songs from LP but there is nothing that it's worth noticing, really - Wesside is great! I especially like the piano melody; I wish it was a demo with vocals! - Shifter is cool! I like the ideas that Mike had for vocals; the vocal ideas that they stuck with for From the Inside are better but it's a very interesting demo right here! the synth in the chorus is a bit annoying though - Plaster 2 is interesting; I like the mysterious intro and Mike's alternative verses are cool; the riff in the bridge is monstrous! One thing that I'd also like to add is that LPU Rarities CD is very tiring to listen to. These demos are a bit repetitive. Meteora's style is legendary but it only works properly with vocals. Most of these demos are similar to each other. The distorted guitar are a bit annoying when you listen to the CD full of loud power-chords riffs. When they are put among other tracks, like on LPU CDs, they are quite enjoyable. However, yesterday it was a bit difficult for me to sit down and listen to the whole thing in one sitting. Obviously, I'm not complaining at all. They are all just demos which were created to have vocals in their potential final form, I'm just describing my experience. Live Rarities CD is great. It's good to have ETR, My December, Step Up, Wish and Hip-Hop Medley live on one CD. I don't know what else to add... The entire boxset feels like a beautiful and nostalgic journey. It's good to hear more tracks with Chester's vocals. I absoultely love these 4 finished/almost finished songs that we got. I haven't watched all the DVDs yet (I watched just one concert from 2003 yesterday as the boxset arrived quite late in the afternoon and also I want to prolong exploring the release) but I'm so happy that we can watch 4 previously unreleased live shows and I'm sure that all of them are awesome. Chester's vocals were on point at the time. Work In Progress DVD must be cool as well! I'm going to watch it next week. I'm really grateful that the band decided to release this collection.
  10. Some people on shoutbox have said that they have received it. Mine got shipped but I'll probably get it tomorrow at the earliest.
  11. Didn't Mike say that the tour is off the table? He said that the fans might expect something from LP but not touring. Where did you take this rumour from? I guess an EP or a single are more likely to come later this year.
  12. Wow! I bought it from a Polish store and they told me that I'd probably get it on the 7th of April. I hope I won't get it in May. My plan is to listen to all the tracks for the first time from the official CD. I don't want to wait until May to listen to the Lost Demos... I hope it's just Amazon and not all distributors.
  13. I couldn't resist and I bought the Super Deluxe Box Set today! I'm sure I won't regret it and forget about the price soon. Maybe I will buy a record player one day? I've really wanted the DVDs and CDs. I cannot say no to Linkin Park...
  14. I think it will be difficult to find the DVDs online, right? They will probably leak in around half a year after the release at the earliest. Well, also if I watch and listen everything online without buying then I won't have any reasons to buy the boxset. I'd buy it for the content not for the box itself.
  15. Thank you all for the contribution! It's not stupid at all. I'm in a similar situation. I'd love to have something related to Meteora20 but at the same time I don't really care about vinlys as I don't have a record player. That's why I'm thinking about buying the 3CD version. It sucks that they didn't include at least the Lost Demos CD. The best solution would be CD+DVD edition. I'd buy it straight away. What I would really like to watch immediately after the release is the live shows and it sucks that if I buy the 3CD edition, I will have to search for it on the internet 😂 It'd be great to have the deluxe boxset to have everything but let's be honest, I'd mostly pay for something that I wouldn't use (vinyls, for example) and only the small amount of money spent is on something that I really want (CDs, DVDs and the book). When it comes to your situation with Amends Super Deluxe, I think it's a bit similar for me with HT20. I bought the deluxe boxset but I rarely use something from it. I have watched all DVDs once, read the book twice. Sometimes I listen to the CDs. I still don't know. I'd like to listen to the original CDs, watch DVDs and simply have it but I don't if the amount of money spent is justifiable in any way.
  16. I have a hard time deciding whether to buy the Meteora20 boxset or not. I'd like to have it in a way but the price is so high... I feel like the money won't be spent on anything useful. I don't have a record player so vinyls are useless for me (maybe I will buy one in the future but it's rather unlikely). I'd love to have all DVDs and CDs, especially the live shows and the Lost Demos CD, however I'm not sure if these two elements justify spending so much money. Especially that the whole album will be on Spotify and the DVDs will sooner or later leak onto YouTube. I bought the Hybrid Theory boxset but it was cheaper. If I don't buy the biggest boxset, I am definitely going to buy the 3CD version. That's why I created a poll with different options to see how many people have decided to buy one of the smaller versions. I'd like to see what's your perspective on the problem. Are you going to buy it simply because it's Linkin Park and "I don't care about money" or have you had some doubts about spending money on it?
  17. Great to hear that! 😄 I agree with that 100%
  18. I probably like it a bit more than the official music video. I am not a huge fan of neither of the versions but this one is kinda cool. Meteora vibes are more palpable here. In the official video I don't like it that there are a lot of stuff included that is completely unrelated to Meteora like New Divide or Fine music videos. It ruins the experience for me. Also, the scenes in which Chester is presented singing are out of sync comparing to the vocals. These are two main reasons I don't like the official video. Here there are no such problems as it shows more aspects such as Meteora art design and the band's members in photoshoots, etc. I don't know why it focuses so much on Mike though, probably just an AI thing. Summing up, I would say that I don't like neither of the videos but this one is more tolerable in general.
  19. It feels so surreal to even think about this, right? As I said, I hope I will be alive when it drops; you never know what the future holds.
  20. I think that OML20 will be huge. Not because it's one of my favourite albums from the band... Remember that for this album they started all the songs with lyrics and vocals. That means that they must have tons of stuff with vocals recorded. We know about Friendly Fire, which is a finished song, but there are many titles that we know that for sure have vocals and must have been more developed because they appeared on the boards in photos - titles like Out of Reach, Can We Go Back and others that we discovered. We know that for Meteora20 we'll have some instrumental songs on the Lost Demos CD (probably Massive and Healing Foot). On LPU CDs we had a lot of insturmental stuff because this was the element of songs that they started with. Some songs did not go far enough in the process to have the vocals recorded for them. When it comes to OML, however, even initial and raw demos should have some kind of vocal ideas. It is visible how huge the hype is for songs like More the Victim or Fighting Myself and for new stuff with vocals in general. For OML20 we probably will get a full CD with new songs with vocals and this is so exciting for me. It sucks that I will be old when it is released. I hope I will be still alive! 😄
  21. As I wrote in the chatbox earlier today, I really liked the interview. It was something different than the most usual stuff. Stern put forward many interesting topics. However, I don't like the fact that he was implying all the time that Chester had been difficult to deal with. Mike denied a few times but Stern continued with his own line of thought anyway. Obviously, Chester had its problems, everybody knows that, but I cannot imagine that because of his addictions or dark past he wasn't a likeable person. I'm sure he was. Same with this question about the concerts that were ruined because of Chester's addiction - I've watched a lot of LP live shows and he always went all out on stage. Surely, he was in worse condition sometimes, but it's understandable after so many years of screaming and singing songs like Crawling. However, I totally agree with some of you who mentioned that by some fans Chester is portrayed as a perfect angelic person. This is cringey, I agree. In a sense, I like the way that Stern presented him. Everybody has their highs and lows and Chester had a lot of lows, for sure. I liked the question about Stone Temple Pilots as well. The interview kind of showed a more humane face of the band. They've all had their problems and concerns and they haven't agreed on everything all the time. Everybody always asks safe questions. It was good to listen to something different at last. Well, I still believe that some of the questions were a bit annoying, but whatever.
  22. The quality of Fighting Myself is not good enough for me to express my opinion about the song. I will do it when it officialy drops. I can properly hear only the first verse and a half of the first chorus. I don't want to ruin my impression of the song so I will try not to listen to this radio recording at all until the release. From what I can hear, it's great. I'm not sure if there is ever going to be a Linkin Park song that I fully dislike so it was totally expected that I would like this one as well. It seems heavy, the vocals by Chester are raw and energetic. I don't know if it's a matter of quality only but I like it a bit less than More the Victim, but as I said, I will judge it when it officialy drops. More the Victim. Well, I'm impressed... The instrumental is awesome, sounds so full - beautiful at times, sometimes heavy. I cannot wait to hear it in high quality. The pre-chorus sung by Chester is heavenly. I love all the changes that they made from Cumulus. The scratches are fun, the strings add another layer of sounds which fits the instrumental perfectly and the drums... well, the drums! I don't know exactly why this element of the song got my attention but I love Rob's drumming in this song. Rob's work on this track is perfect. It's awesome how he slightly changed the drumbeat in the last chorus. The transitions... Wow, the drums add so much to the track. It is probably not technically complicated, but it sounds amazing and that's enough for me to appreciate it. A lot of great ideas here and there. In general, I like More the Victim more than some of the tracks on Meteora. I'd probably swap it with Hit the Floor or Nobody's Listening. I don't know if I like the song more than Lost but it's really, really good. One piece of criticism that I have towards both songs are that they are a bit formulaic. I understand that the band came up with some kind of a structure for songs on Meteora but it's a bit repetitive and predictable at times. It's the thing that made Linkin Park recognisable so I don't have anything against this formula, I like it in general. But come on, in (almost) every song?! 😂
  23. There are added scratches, beautiful strings in the background (however, they are barely audible due to the bad quality of the recordings) and, most importantly, live drums! It sounds much better than the demo.
  24. What a weird move. "Lost" hype isn't over yet and they want to give us two new songs today.
