I realize the whole situation is negative and really just not good, but if I'm being honest "Fuck you, and fuck Lestat" was unintentionally kind of hilarious. When I first saw the screenshots I literally paused and went back to see how Lestat's name even came up lmfao. Turns out Sean is just illiterate.

When this get release can we skip the war on the shoutbox i think we got enough with Amends part 1 tbh
I agree. Hopefully Sean stops calling fans names like "douchebag" and "dumbfuck". That doesn't help things.

If it's not functioning as a vocal part in the mix, it should be in the instrumental.
The opening line to Nobody Can Save Me is "I'm dancing with my demons," not "WEHH YA HEE EEE EH THE EHH," for instance. My favorite LP lyric is the opening line of Battle Symphony: "OHH WA... OHH WA AH AH AH AWW AWWWW OH WA AH AH OH AH"

they actually want your paypal data?
You can skip that step if you set up a free account. I just did it and downloaded the acapella. Didn't have to give them any payment info.

Since those pitched vocals are still vocals... this seems logical to not include them in an instrumental. At least it does to me.
I know of promo acapellas and instrumentals from another band which are separated the same way.
Your point makes sense, but I know a few instrumentals from other bands that do include pitch shifted/effected vocals. High Hopes by PATD for example includes pitch shifted vocals in the instrumental.

The "consuming all I feel" lyrics are from the booklet.
Maybe those were demo lyrics at some point then that we just never heard? I assume the lyrics for the booklet are submitted by the band. Strange.
It's also possible that it was a mistake from the very beginning by whoever submitted the lyrics. -

It also has the demo lyrics “consuming all I feel”. Fucking Underground 😍😍😍
Those were never demo lyrics though lol. That was just a mistake by the marketing team. They even corrected it. That shirt now says “crawling in my skin, confusing what is real”. -

I pre-ordered Box Deluxe $199,98 on the LP website (Warner) I found it safer, I received 2 emails, with confirmation of purchase and the other that the Product will start shipping on October 5th, and I will receive the update as soon as it is sent. in addition I received the link to "she coudn't". I paid $ 15.99 Shipping too, did anyone here pay the same price of Shipping?
I also ordered from LP's website, but I paid $9.99 for shipping, which was labeled as a "flat fee". I'm thinking the "flat fee" is dependent on what country they're shipping the product too. Probably $9.99 for anywhere in the US, and higher prices depending on what country you're in.

Mike's rap verse is amazing, but I really like the way the live version ends. Chester always nailed it.

I think the whispered verses were an attempt at a Deftones vibe and Mark just isn't Chino.
The influence is there for sure, but yeah it doesn't sound right lol. With that said, I expect Chester's version to be way better and sound less contrived.

Maybe I'm just cynical but I feel that HT is so big idk if they can top it. I would love and hope Meteora's is even bigger, I just can't help but think that was a unique perfect storm. The reasonable pricing, Mike on stream daily in terms of fan interaction, the first real release since OML imo. There was every incentive and time to put the effort in to launch them back in the spotlight, i reallllllly hope that they take HT's 20th release as a blueprint - not an outlier
The reason that other box sets could potentially top it, in terms of hype for us as hardcore fans anyway, is that the Xero through HT eras are by far the eras with the least amount of completely unreleased and unheard material. There are songs, like the Thoughts That Take Away My Pride demo, that we’ve known about and wanted to hear since before we even knew about Pictureboard.
In terms of sales, though? This one and maybe a Meteora one would be the pinnacle. Casual LP fans aren’t going to rush out to buy a THP box set as fast as they are buying an HT one, obviously. That’s not even a knock on that album, it’s just that HT is seen as a huge milestone in music in general. -

I've been wrestling with cancelling my pre-order. But I think I'm gonna get it, enjoy it for a moment, and then sell the pieces I don't want (book, lithographs, Cassette). I'm sure someone out there would be down to buy it who didn't want the whole thing
Lol the book and cassette are two huge things for me that I DO want specifically. I remember hoping there was a book as soon as talks about a 20th anniversary release started. -

Warner doesn't own Xero or Hybrid Theory EP music, right? Those were independent releases by the band, some of the stuff was re-released on Warner so the band probably just allowed them to do that. None of that was on Warner, the original releases. Then you get into like And One being on Songs from the Underground etc.
How does this all work, am I wrong? I noticed all of the HTEP songs are on BMI for the band's publishing. Reading My Eyes is the only Xero song on there, probably because of LPU 6.
The band has such a good relationship with the label that doing any of this stuff is no issue, like reissuing old stuff. The band doesn't have to ask Kyle or anyone like that to reissue old stuff. Mark is like best friends with Mike and also is in the music business, he'd never object to this stuff either. The band doesn't HAVE to consult with him but they probably DID just because of how classy and respectful LP is in general.
I honestly don't know. I was under the impression that they either owned the rights or recently acquired the rights due to YouTube taking down Xero and HT EP music since the HT 20 announcement, citing copyright claims by WMG.

couldn'T it be that the thing they had to clear for Pictureboard was the bass track rights by this Antoine guy?
I don't think that's how music rights work. Like if LP wants to release an old Xero demo, I don't think they have to check with Mark to see if he approves the use of his vocal track lol. They might reach out as a courtesy, but not for legal reasons. I really doubt he could say "I don't approve the use of my vocal track" and have any legal standing there considering that Warner owns the rights to all those songs.

Friendly Fire sounds like a cool song title but it will probably suck due to it being a song from OML sessions.
Meteora full b sides are a must have.
I thought you said WAYW was "fucking epic". If you love WAYW, you might also love Friendly Fire.

Hybrid is going to have to do really well in order to get a Meteora box set, we'd assume. Like, really well.
I really think it will.
Even if they don't want to do another huge box set like this HT release, I wonder if they would consider a 20th anniversary reissue of Meteora maybe with at least a bonus disc or 2 of stuff.

Meteora vocal demos are my personal holy grail. Despite all the instrumentals we've gotten from that era, it still feels like an absolute black hole. I know that a lot of that is probably down to the deadlines they were running up against, and how long it took to finish just the songs that made the album, but there's gotta be something, right?
If the HT20 box does well, and the band wants to do another one for Meteora, I think we could see some wild stuff for that one. I think a big anniversary could be likely, given that the album went platinum in two weeks and it was a gigantic era. Maybe those mythical Meteora remixes...?
The ironic thing about HT20 is that, without question, HT is the era with the least amount of completely unreleased material. That's why there's only a few songs on this release that we know absolutely nothing about and haven't heard in any form.
A box set for Meteora 20 could definitely be insane, I agree. Especially if Mike finds those Meteora remixes. Imagine one CD of unheard Meteora demos and B-Sides, including some with vocals, and another disc for the remixes...
By the way, if those Meteora remixes ever do surface, I'm definitely taking credit for reminding Mike about them on Twitch. LOL

We could certainly ask for an interview with Mike. We've never really asked for one but maybe the HT20 is a good time to do it.
This would be the best time to do it, for sure. HT 20, during quarantine. This is probably the best shot to have his schedule free enough and everything align right to make it happen.
Of course, I'm not sure how much specifics he would remember about some of these songs, but it would be a great opportunity nonetheless and I'm sure we would get some great info/cool stories about HT and that entire era.

where did you get this information?
why the email I sent to support after I made the purchase they told me it is a PR02 full showthey didn't say it was a mixture 🤔
I first heard that on the LPL stream with Mark and Astat, but apparently that info was revealed in a Rolling Stone article about the release.
EDIT: Look at this article. "The third disc, Live Projekt Revolution 2002, will boast an hour of unseen live footage from Las Vegas and San Diego, plus a 45-minute sequel to Frat Party, dubbed The Sequel to the Worst Name We’ve Ever Come Up With, that will boast previously unavailable backstage footage and interviews."

For him to be trolling, Mike and Chester both would have had to simultaneously remember a specific song that doesn’t actually exist. It’s real. We just don’t know if it’s Could Have Been or Dialate or something else entirely.
-
Theoretically I could see them releasing the Crawling demo, but that would be 2 songs from the Forgotten Demos disc.
More likely, if they did another pre-release song, it would be something like the Rock Mix of OSC or ITE from the LPU CD. -
Adam all but confirmed that Pictureboard is being saved for release day.

It will bother a lot of completionists and collectors out there to know that there's a vinyl technically included with the release that they won't be getting. So they have to choose between either not having it, or buying it and therefore having duplicates of the other 3 vinyls. Hate to say it, but it feels like they had to have known that would be the situation, and still did it that way. Personally I would rather pay $200 and have all of the items included in the release, and it may bother me to have a vinyl missing, but not so much that I would buy another box set just to have it lol. At least it's the B-Sides vinyl and not HT EP, HT, or Reanimation.
That's probably the biggest issue I can see with this release. We know LP themselves didn't make that decision, and from Mark's stream with Adam I don't think he made that decision either. It had to be the marketing team at Warner.

It was funny because Astat and Lestat are two totally different people.
