See I get your point, but I have a soft spot for those two songs specifically lol. Overall though, I know what you mean. Mike has gone on record as saying that the best songs from that era were the ones we already had, back when he realized PB was being treated as the holy grail of unreleased LP material. I think a lot of people thought about the amazing B-sides you mentioned and thought Mike may have just been downplaying it.

Not sure how these decisions are made, but they could have done this for ATS with new artwork since HT20 completely overshadowed ATS’ 10th anniversary lol

Oh that’s very much a real thing. That’s literally the reason a lot of people hate on LP. There are people who will love a band, but then as soon as they get heavy radio play they say “they sold out, so mainstream” and will literally stop listening to them and go find something else lol

Thank God! We almost got through a whole discussion without anyone bringing up the Grey Daze drama, I was getting worried. To respond, are we implying this is a cash grab... by Amazon Music? They're just doing something to try and get more subscribers away from Apple Music and Spotify. It sounds like a novelty thing, a gimmick. I'll stick with Apple. I'm more curious about what lpliveusername asked. Does this mean we'll potentially be able to have separate channel rips of the songs in the way we have the Reanimation channel rips? If so, that's something cool to look forward to.

There's a chance that it simply doesn't exist. I doubt Chester re-recorded over every single Xero song they made with Mark.

RME was originally on the setlist for Road to Revolution. I'm still sad we missed out on that song being performed for the DVD.

Haha I totally misread the original question as saying “High Voltage on LPU 2 is censored”. That definitely is an odd exception. I wonder if it could have just been an oversight before the album went to print.

I’m not sure about that song specifically, but I’m pretty sure that was still during their “no cursing on official releases” time period. I don’t think there were any uncensored curse words on official LP releases, live or otherwise, before Collision Course and then MTM. I could be wrong, though.

Nobody knows, and Mike doesn’t mention it by name. Given that he specifically singled out which tracks have Mark on vocals, and he DIDN’T include Could Have Been, it’s safe to say it’s a demo with Chester on vocals.

Are they really going be the exact same versions though? Just straight up duplicates with a slightly different title?

It kind of already is their Sgt. Pepper’s. Both albums have recurring motifs that create a sense of flow and cohesion throughout. Both albums were huge departures, stylistically, from the bands’ previous and future works. Both albums have been seen more and more favorably by critics and casual music fans with the passing of time. Personally, I would call both albums the magnum opus of both bands by a mile. Both bands have a GREAT catalogue, obviously. I mean it’s The Beatles and Linkin Park. Two amazing bands, but Sgt. Pepper’s and ATS are just on a different level.

And I sang the demos and they're written in a way that I can sing those pretty well. But lyrically, a little too hard. It was one of our scratch vocal tracks which we cut up and made the melody out of. There’s some basic low-pass filtering here with the Waves Linear Phase EQ, a little distortion, and a reverb with very short decay time. The filter is opened up in different sections, to make those sections feel bigger."

Yeah basically lol. Some casual fans will be like "Woah! It's In The End with totally different lyrics! This is awesome!" and meanwhile most hardcore fans heard this demo a million years ago lol

I had a feeling if they released something else before the actual release date that it would be something hardcore fans know very well, but casual fans probably don't. Releasing a demo of ITE is a cool way to hype up a lot of casual fans.
