  1. Bahaha, deal! I'm over that way in November... ready to start then? LOL I kinda kept that description as short as I could - I have the full treatment in my head... angles and all
  2. Looks like the band are going to be performing in a very literal castle of glass. Disappointing really. Whenever I hear the song, I picture the most ridiculous music video in my head that I've actually come to love: think wild west, with one half of the band playing sheriff, the other half playing bandit. They have ridiculous cowboy outfits on with matching moustaches and all. Chester (one of the bandits) rides in on a horse during his first chorus with another 2 band members in tow. Hahn? Definitely a bandit with his natural facial hair. Standoff, quick draw, then shootout ensues. Mike's team (sherrif) win by playing dead, capturing Chester and crew and sending them away in a caged cart. I would literally die laughing if the band ever produced a music video like that.
  3. Looks like the single is being released first week of August. Source: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Linkin-Park-PRO...=item27c9102a14 Check out the sticker on the back of the artwork - says IMPACT DATE, then either 5th or 8th of August.
  4. The real value of this disc are the instrumental and acapella tracks IMO. I've gone and ordered a copy of this disc since a) I was having trouble finding it online (with those two tracks) and b ) because it's always nice to have rare tracks like these in a lossless format. Hope they post quick!
  5. Given that music sales are in a constant state of decline from year to year (overall average), I think it's safe to say this performed very well. Two years have passed since A Thousand Suns was released, and this sold an almost identical amount in its first week to what ATS did. That would be a pretty decent achievement when all other factors remain constant, but taking into account declining music sales and I'd say that's a massive achievement.
  6. Though I'd love the band to come sooner, this timing suits me fine (annual leave required/job situations and whatnot ) If they did headline Soundwave and play sideshows, I'd be more than happy. Soundwave you can always get onto the front of the second barrier quite late in the afternoon and the viewing from that distance is pretty good. Sideshows can be used for either front of mosh or great seating. Just wish something would be announced soon!
  7. Could have been a number of factors I suppose. I guess every band has an 'off' performance from time to time... but usually the band themselves acknowledge when the performance isn't up to scratch (either directly or indirectly). It just sounded terrible, and I didn't appreciate the non-stop barrage of racist jokes, especially when you take into account how multicultural this country is and the number of ethnic people that may have been in the audience. Just didn't seem appropriate at all. The show also seemed to go on forever, despite the set list being relatively short and most of their songs being quite short also. I know I definitely wasn't the only one of that opinion of the show. We left fairly late in the set, but heaps of people had been leaving well before us too. I guess if they play at Soundwave I'll end up with a second opinion so to speak. Keeping my expectations fairly subdued however. It's a shame, because I really enjoyed the band up until that point.
  8. Yeahhh buddy! Totally agree with Pez re: the band coming to Australia and doing festival-only shows. I really want to hear LIVING THINGS live with some of the older stuff thrown in, not a best of set which usually needs to be the case for festival sets. And fully agree re: tossing up between front of stage or M&G and watching from a distance. Plus, front of stage at a festival usually means spending an entire day with d*ckheads in the mosh and watching the awful bands that precede the headliner. I for one couldn't care less about Blink being on the line-up. I used to absolutely love them until I saw them live. After that one show, I have never listened to a CD of theirs again. It was probably the second worst live show I have ever seen (and I've been to a lot). People were walking out in droves before the band even finished. I've only ever been to one other show that impacted my taste for a band that significantly.
  9. Patiently waiting... Meanwhile, my mate's pizza is probably burning in our pizza oven
  10. I hope you know that it was the TV broadcast that stuffed this up? People in the audience and Mr Shinoda himself confirmed that the song was played correctly in studio.
  11. I think I'd be okay with that if the video was more of an actual music video rather than the music trailer that it is. Plus, it came out of nowhere, with less than a week until the movie opened theatrically, so I feel like the opportunity for it to do any good/get any attention has already gone Would be a shame if that's the only exposure this song gets to the masses, as I know it would be tremendously popular. Out of my circle of friends who like LP, POWERLESS is the favourite song from the album for most of them.
  12. I thought that entire article was worded rather awkwardly, which leads me to think it could just be a miscommunication. I really hope the following become singles: POWERLESS LOST IN THE ECHO CASTLE OF GLASS IN MY REMAINS Happy to sub IN MY REMAINS for I'LL BE GONE in my list of preferences mind you. Those first three HAVE to be singles though!

Absolutely loving what I hear. Powerless was already my most anticipated song from the album and this is amping that up tenfold. Can't wait any longer!!!
  14. Is it just me, or would anyone else find it odd if they do in fact keep the same setlist, yet this is being recorded for a LIVING THINGS promotion? It just seems bizarre that they would be showing this the night before LIVING THINGS is released in the US, yet play 2 (maybe 3 if Tinfoil is added back in) songs from the disc? Reminds me of the Foo Fighters concert event that hit cinemas before the release of their latest album - pretty sure the doco section was followed by a start to finish live rendition of the entire album? Someone may need to correct me on that one as I never saw it at the cinemas.
  15. Given that I mentioned 2 words and never actually poked fun at that demo (simply stated a fact), I don't see any reason to get so butthurt about it. Back on topic - it's disheartening that of all the people who use this site on a daily, weekly, or even monthly basis, 5-10 of us have pre-ordered a copy using the site's link? Even if it means buying an additional copy, I think the small outlay of cash is nothing in comparison to the value that this site offers the fan base.
  16. Damn Was hoping these would be up before this party I am organising the A/V for tomorrow night - was going to play a couple of the tracks on the big screen but the audio from the broadcasts aren't up to scratch
  17. The two of you need to chill out and understand the concept of a joke. I'm more than happy to start listing the things I am financially responsible for, but then I'd be paying more attention to something that never warranted any in the first place. Good to see some of you don't have your knickers in a knot - touché (re: the student thing) by the way!
  18. I know, but we're not talking hundreds of dollars here
  19. FOUR?!?! Come on everyone! Do your bit! I had ordered one before this comp started, plan on buying one in Australia on day of release (since it is out here first) and STILL ordered a third copy through here. $14.99 and even $19.99 is not a lot of money. Plus, to get it shipped to Australia, we have to pay an additional $15 on shipping, so all you locals have no excuse!
  20. Not too sure I don't have Foxtel at home so couldn't check - especially because they never gave a solid date/time. I'd assume it was just the BURN IT DOWN music video premiere, but would be awesome if someone could confirm that!
  21. Think I happen to agree with you on that one dude. I'd even be happy for them to lose Crawling. If they were to play an oldie again, would love Pushing Me Away to make a random appearance But Wretches live OWNS.
  22. LEGEN-DARY!!! Stoked that there's a good source for this. I'm organising the audio-visual for a party this Friday night and wanted to play both LIES GREED MISERY and the LOATR/SOTD/Iridescent medley (along with the BURN IT DOWN music video)
  23. Others have mentioned this before, but it's a shame the competition started after many of us had pre-ordered already Having said that, I always end up buying multiples of their albums, so I'll kick in another
  24. Would be great if someone managed to get it in 720p AND a decent frame rate. The others that are in 720p have pretty awful frame rates Should have been able to direct DL that. When I loaded it up and Smashing Pumpkins were playing, DownloadHelper found a 2GB downloadable file on the page.
