I don't see how these votes can be fair. It is obvious that LPL members are voting for the submission from our community, even though it may not necessarily be the best. I bet every site is going to have their submission as the winner. My vote goes to Toxicbszone simply because it is the best. EDIT: So people can't register here to vote during this time period but they can go to LPTimes and vote with no restrictions?

I don't think that's an accurate snippet. In fact, I don't think all those are meant to be played at the same time. It sounds to me as if those are just stems from different segments of the song, or atleast at different lengths so if all played at one time it misrepresents the proper layering of the track. I don't think this is what we'll hear August 2nd.

The site is horrible, I have gotten 0 songs to play all the way through. As far as the music, I think I like it but I've only got to hear scattered seconds of it.

It'd be cool if they released the multi-tracks, and like a basic program to let fans remix the songs themselves... as like some 10 year anniversary thing.

The Catalyst.. cool name. The name reminds me of New Found Glory.... I'm interested to see what it sounds like. For some reason, A Thousand Suns reminds me of Stone Temple Pilots or Sound Garden.

I mean.... I can name some bands that actually recorded new music in the past 3 years. That's part of the problem. Instead of making new music, someone found a way to take something fans were already doing, do it better, and put it out, and no new music. Since we subscribe to them, essentially, we are subscribing to things we don't necessarily want. I don't remember anyone asking for 100 dsps. So the sentimental value attached to our show trading is undermined by an attempt to make money. Because, whether or not they put these out, fans would still record them. Ultimately, we are the ones being taken advantage of because probably 85 percent of those sales are gonna come from dedicated LP fans.

Very very impressed.

With the way the music industry is taking a hit, you certainly don't want to piss your fans off -- unless they want to make bubblegum pop for the rest of their careers. LPHQ has turned into used car salesmen.
