Linkin Park's much-discussed A Thousand Suns will finally see the, uh, light of day on September 14, bringing to close a nearly two-year process that saw the band push themselves in ways they never thought possible. And, as is the case with most grand projects, things were still being worked out up until the very last minute. Case in point: The video for the album's first single, "The Catalyst," which the band shot back in June. In keeping with tradition, the clip was directed by the band's DJ, Joseph Hahn, but aside from who would be sitting in the director's chair, there were still plenty of details to sort out including just what they were going to call the song itself. "We are deciding the title as we speak," LP's Mike Shinoda told MTV News on the set of the video back in June. "We came in with a title in mind, and changed our minds, and probably by the end of the day, we'll have a new name for the song." And while they were still unsure of the song's title a few months ago, the boys knew exactly the kind of emotions they wanted to convey in its video. Much like the album itself, they were gunning for big, often-contradictory themes: power and grace, destruction and salvation, ugliness and beauty. "The concept to the video: It kind of comes from the idea of, like, if you could imagine when nuclear fission was invented, or a moment in time when something can be used for positive or negative," Shinoda said. "Something can be beautiful or it can be destructive. Or even, you know, if you've ever seen a dangerous fire from far away, it's devastating up close, but from far away, it can be beautiful. Those are the kind of themes that run throughout the album, and they're also themes that you see in the video." "The Catalyst" video premieres at midnight August 25 (technically, the 26th) on MTV.com and VH1.com, and then on MTV, VH1, MTV2, mtvU, MTV Hits, MTV Tr3s and all MTV international territories at 8 p.m. ET/PT on August 26. 90 Mins is ok for LP... From 2000 to 2004 the shows almost past the 60 minutes... what is the problem now ? The shows are really awesome, doesn't matter if is short or long, if you enjoy it you never will watch your clock...

Across The Line, but are differents songs. Across The Line is a quick tempo song, with an excelent end... Pretend To Be, is an excelent song too but sounds more like a Single of MTM, starts slow and in the end the energy grows but stops suddenly... Across The Line is 10/10 Pretend To Be 9/10

The Bio is really long, a lot of information

First of all, my ticket for the Show in Argetina costed $ 105.82 Dollars, so is a huge the Stadium have a capacity of 50.000 people and i think will be sell out without a problems, and i don't think the people start complaining if the Setlist is short, i mean is our first time in a LP show, i'm excited just for that, is more important see a LP show than if the Setlist is Short or Long . The setlist in Southamerica and Europe will depend of the Show in NYC, they will release The Catalyst and a couple of songs of ATS like the realese of MTM with, WID, Given Up, NMS and BIO... So the shorter setlist is something normal in every band and in LP is just a tradition, so i think a Setlist of 18 songs like in the MTM Tour in 2007 is ok, the band need warm for the big tour in 2011 and part of 2012, they will make a PR in Us and Europe and a World Tour so they need warm up for all of that, if you play some sport you need a warm up before you play the game right ? So i'm happy for the Show in Argetina whatever the Setlist will be... btw, when will start the Poll and where ?

Damn is not fair, i paid $115.80 for the Premium Membershit... The only "good thing" in this new LPU is the M&G for the Countries who have a lot of Shows like US, Japan and "Europe", i know is not a country but the Countries are really near between them and is easy go to other Show, because the $60 membershit will push away the simple fans who are not Hardcore and just want to see LP with the Chance to know the band just for coincidence if they have lucky, but for the otherside is pushing away a lot of Hardcore like me that want to have Exclusive Items, because the chances to know the band are close to 0...

First of all, an advice, full his invox of mail complaining about this and you will get your country in the List, i'm from Uruguay (remember me ? you help me a lot with the international shipping ) a smaller country than Ukraine and i get that Bandmerch put my country in the list, so, work hard for that and you will win this fight... That is what is thinking every international LPUer right now, because a lot of countries where the chances to have a LP show are close to 0 and like me i'm LPU for the package, because i'm still waiting the exclusivities of LPU... The news: take too long to appear, when appear aren't news anymore The Chat: i just get one Chat in March with Rob and was really boring, and my question was really good but who select the questions just put the questions of his friends, because the questions were really stupid... i Don't need the CHAT if i can talk with Mike in Ustream, is stupid... The Contensts: are always for US only, sometimes (and really weird) is worldwide... So, LPU is not for International fan base, the international fan base just want the package because is the only exclusivity that can get, and yes maybe this October in Argentina i can get a M&G with the band but i have to wait 10 years for this, so was pure coincidence... When my membership finished i will pay the monthly membership and i will buy the Merch, and that is my solution... One more thing who said that "i LPU member because i want to know LP Fans, IS LYING !!!" lplive is much better...

The only difference is that, LPU will be more exclusive like a closer circle because the expensive cost of the Anual Membership, now, if every person have access to the Store paying the Monthly membership will lose the exclusivity in a few seconds, if so, the new merch will be in a lower cost on eBay like the LPU 9 Cd $0,99 I don't know, maybe this new LPU will kill the international fan base on LPU, i'm talking about members from countries where the LPU M&G exclusivity is unnecessary...
