How do LP get away with claiming 100$ for a ticket? That's ridiculous. It's not like their show is something very special.... Although their production improved on the HTC.
I'd love to know. Maybe they'll be an opening band. Though with this being the only show in 2013 for the US they demand way exceeds the supply, so they can price it however they want. GA sold out in less the a minute, so obviously people were willing to pay.
So I have question...the site says the show starts at 8:00pm, what are the chances Linkin Park hits the stage at 8? I have another event that day and was wondering if I could make both. The other event should be over by 8:30.
I say a slim chance. I don't think I've been to a show where they're been exactly on time. But the most time you'll get is like 15mins, so you'll potentially miss the first 4-5 songs, if you're lucky.
I'd say it all depends on if they'll have an opening band or not.
Also, did anyone notice that there is no M&G option for this show?
They might put it up later. This seemed to happen very quickly.
I wonder if they will have an opening band. I think I'd cry from joy if it was Rise Against, haha. But Paper Tongues/Circa Survive/Muthmath, LP can pick them.
I just wanna see Castle of Glass and I'll Be Gone.

FYI, first video is from the show on the 6th, the other 2 are from the show on the 11th.
This is why I shouldn't post things at 4am during finals week. lol
The videos from Austin were great. Mike and Chester just commanded that stage.
-
First video I've found. Chester doing Bob Dylan's Like a Rolling Stone.
He sounds great!
-
Got a GA ticket too. Might have an extra one if someone's interested?
-
Anyone get the Planet Hollywood tickets?
-
There was some bad mixing, but Mike and Chester didn't seem to be able to hear each other or something. The VGA performance sounded better to me.

Drop. ND. ASAP.
#figure.09
YES THIS. I still don't understand why ND is still in the setlist. It's fine live, but it needs to be retired now.
-
To me sounds like LITE. Extendend Intro to be exact.
Same. I thought of LITE when I heard it.
-
Maybe it was the scalpers that made it sell out.
I'm pretty sure Houston sold out, but I don't know about Dallas.

Anyone been to this venue before? Is it all seats and no pit?
-
Chester and Mike sounded great together!! And I loved when Brad/Phoenix/Chester/Mike were all singing. Great debut!!
-
New mix is... very funky. Goes well with UIB which was strange to begin with.
This will take a few listens. It sounds like he is using some very random noises in there and then an actual rhythm under that.
And this one kept Brad and Chester's parts.
What do you guys think?

Chester and his wife Talinda and the rest of the members of Linkin Park have supported the "Stars in Season" event, which benefits the Cardon Children's Hospital. Elias Andra (former Julien-K & Dead By Sunrise drummer) and Chester performed at the event this year. X
Recently they did a mashup video with the Burn It Down footage and patients and staff at the hospital.
"For me," Chester Bennington of Linkin Park says, "the best part of doing these benefits is when you're at the event and you see all these people really excited about contributing and then watching the hospital grow. This place didn't even exist four years ago. And now it's the epicenter of care for all these children. Four years ago, they would've been sent to another state. They would have to be turned away because there wasn't enough room in the one floor that was here before. So this has really become quite an amazing place for these kids."
I liked it more then the original video.

Easily my favorite video from LT. I really like that it was from the POV of the child. And special effects were perfect for this song. Great video IMO

It's going to be my first LP concert
I'm going! I'll be on M&G too!
I'm going too!
Excited for you guys!! I know the crowd will bring it!
Hope I remember to watch the stream. Finally one at a reasonable time for me lol (7pm)

Your stupid pc plays ok here
Thanks I figured as much :/
-
Did anyone download Dallas yet? I had a lot of issues trying to do it and my SIB is skipping at 2:48. It could very easily be my stupid computer's fault, but I want to be sure.

New remix is sick. This is what I was expecting of all of them. First one that has made me want to get up and dance. I'm glad they seem to be progressively getting better as this goes. Now I can't wait for November!
As for the fanmix, it was pretty good. I think I liked it more then some of the other BID mixes, but really it sounded like a weird hybrid of all the BID fanmixes to me. I do like that Bobina did more with it then some of the other mixers did.
What did you guys think? Have a favorite?

New LPTV video is up. Honda Civic Tour- Part 4. Go check it out! -
Was it just me, or was the timing a little off on the intro for Faint. It seemed like Rob and Brad weren't really in sync.
I don't know what it was but it didn't sound right to me either.
-
Nothing really "one of kind" at this show. Crowd was dead which was probably to be expected. Chester sounded good and Joe didn't mess up Numb.
-
Apparently not. WID now.

LP's up next! Not too bad. Even at their own shows LP is usually late so it's like being at a concert
If Chester leaves the band... who can replace him?
in Everything Linkin Park
Posted
You guys are getting a bit emotional of what is a pure "What If" question, and doesn't look to be happening anytime soon.
I think it's an interesting one. Linkin Park is Mike's baby, so IMO it would be easier to replace Chester then Mike. I mean I'm more of a Chester girl, so I don't know if I'd listen to it.
The real question would be if the band could find another person who could work in the studio with the others. Playing live is easier to replace then the chemistry it takes to make an album.
Also I think you guys are dismissing Brad, Rob, and Phoenix a bit too hastily. Yeah they could have another person play their stuff live, but as for the studio they contribute a lot. Brad especially.
As for someone who could replace Chester... I'm at a loss. It would be very hard for them to do.
And then to the OOA/DBS discussion, I would KILL for an acoustic version of OOA. I remember the video of My Suffering and Walking in Circles before JK and HB got involved and it was fantastic. And we've all heard Let Down and Morning After pre DBS. I feel like OOA isn't a fair way to measure Chester's success outside of LP because A) no promotion B ) Howard Benson C) Julian K. I have a feeling that Snow White Tan would have been epic. He should have had Mike produce and just got a generic band behind him.
