I'd just like to have a longer version of Victimized. I was never a fan of the album version.

Amazon has it. Link

haha that was a typo with the glow/flow. I just couldn't hear the "nothing cures the craving part" so thanks. Still have no idea what that part is when he gets really quiet and breathy before "Pull in you and throw you out of time". I hope we get official lyrics.

To me Living Things didn't have any replay power. I LOVE Linkin Park, but as a whole I'd say I would rather listen to High Rise than the 5 best songs off LT. And I don't really see STPWCB as a side project, but as Chester's other band. I think it's fair to compare the two. Though to be fair I guess the real comparison will be after a few months and see what I'm still listening too. Also I really wasn't serious about the influence. I know Mike would never let that happen, but I really think this type of music really shows how great Chester's voice sounds. I really thought LT was lacking. I wasn't a fan of how unfinished a lot of the songs sounded (UIB, Victimized, Skin to Bone).

I tried to type all the lyrics. Can someone help with Cry Cry? I feel like I got the rest of the songs. Link

"Out Of Time" Longing is the animal inside you when you bleed Suffering is critical in finding what you need Deliverance is evidence there's more than what you say Pain is there the moment that you wake up from your dreams Oh, I know you can't tithe Oh, when you look inside yourself You've got to cross that line Yeah, you're running out of time Loneliness is beautiful, it leads you home again Happiness is overrated, joy is infinite Liberate the hate you feel before it's permanent Smile when it hurts, it works like mother's medicine Oh, I know you can't tithe Oh, when you look inside yourself you've got to cross that line Yeah, you're running out of time You've got to learn your lesson to see what you've been missing You've got to cross that line Yeah, you've got to look inside Yeah, it's time that you decide Yeah, you've got to cross that line Yeah, you're running out of time "Black Heart" Black heart comin he's a cold machine Cuts like a knife Gentle and Clean Face like an angel Mind of a killer Nobody else gonna love her better Lay down, now stay down Took her life with a quick pull trigger Yeah Yeah Well I don't mind, I don't mind Yeah Yeah Yeah Said I don't mind if you don't mind The color has all but faded Out of a dead mans eyes Down to his blackened heart Black hearts kickin like a beating drum Shooting her down the sound of his gun No compassion, Hard as an assassin Falling deeper still in that wreck less fashion Lay down, now stay down Deeper and deeper with a blind mans passion Yeah Yeah Well I don't mind, I don't mind Yeah Yeah Yeah Said I don't mind if you don't mind The color has all but faded Out of a dead mans eyes Down to his blackened heart Rescue Me If you don't mind (x3) If you don't mind The colors has all but faded Out of a dead mans eyes Down to his blackened heart "Same on the Inside" Sending out a message to the world But I just can't seem to find the words No one wants to die alone Broken and Insane Question every last decision Another empty page Do you know the answers Tell me how to find my happy ending When do we start pretending that we're All the same on the inside Wanting what I know won't satisfy Just an endless need to live a lie Never meant to runaway (Never meant to runaway) Jump another train (Jump another train) My case was built on good intentions Burning every page Do you know the answers Tell me how to find my happy ending When do we start pretending that We're all the same on the inside All the same on the inside All the Same on the Inside Do you know the answers Tell me how to find my happy ending When do we start pretending that We're all the same on the inside All the same on the Inside We're all the same on the inside We're all the same on the inside Yeah we're all the same on the inside "Cry Cry" Forgive the promise that is never kept The wasted life that you have left So sell your soul and put it on display Echoing the debts that can't be paid ???? Pull in you and throw you out of time The shadows playing tricks on your broken mind Tears will not cover pain Cry Cry I can't say no Nothing cures the craving Yeah yeah Cry Cry it's all a show Just a game your playin Yeah Yeah Yeah Yesterday is lost again Collect the answer suffering in vain??? So hold on tight and watch the embers glow The ashes fly away out of your control ???? Pull in you and throw you out of time The shadows playing tricks on your broken mind Tears will not cover pain Cry Cry I can't say no Nothing cures the craving Yeah yeah Cry Cry it's all a show Just a game your playin Yeah Yeah Yeah Cry Cry I can't say no Nothing cures the craving Cry Cry it's all a show Just a game your playin Yeah Yeah Yeah Cry Cry I can't say no Nothing cures the craving Yeah Yeah Cry Cry it's all a show Just a game your playin Yeah Yeah "Tomorrow" These endless days away from here Tear out my heart that breaks for you I'm coming home tomorrow Though you're not lying next to me I hear your song that calls to me I'm coming home tomorrow Back in your arms, tomorrow's Just a dream I can't obtain It's like a fire I can't contain And though it seems so far away It's a just a day, a lonely day away. The summer's gone now I can see The season's end has set me free I'm coming home tomorrow Back in your arms, tomorrow's Just a dream I can't obtain It's like a fire I can't contain And though it seems so far away It's a just a day, a lonely day away. Tomorrow I'm coming home Tomorrow I'm coming home I'm so tired and so alone It's a dream I can't obtain It's like a fire I can't contain And thought it seems so far away It's a just a day, a lonely day away.

Same on the Inside is awesome. Chester sounds great and the melody is catchy. I see this being a really good radio song. The ending is really cool. Listening to Cry Cry and it's as great as I had hoped! Definitely my new jam. 90sec preview didn't do it justice. Just beautiful. Tomorrow is much better than what I heard in the 90sec preview. You'd think after the ATS previews I'd learn not to listen lol. Really great music in this one. For me High Rise blows Living Things out of the water. I'm so glad Chester is able to make this type of music, and I honestly hope this somewhat influences the next LP album. Don't need another LT.

Does anyone know if he actual broke his hand? Also feel really bad my first reaction was just to be exasperated. I mean smashing it on Dean's guitar? Only Chester. -
It's cool to see Chester in a new writing environment. They see to be a jam band, when we know LP is very much not. The snippet of Cry Cry is just killing me. I want the EP so much!!! I hope STP fans can appreciate the fact that Chester is really taking this seriously. And I'm glad to see the whole band seem so relaxed and happy. I can't imagine what it's been like with Scott recently.

I really like it. Honestly didn't see it didn't sound overproduced to me like DBS. I mean DBS was really a disaster production wise. This is really my type of music, and I see them being really successful with it. Plus Chester seems to be truly enjoying himself. Personally I can't wait to be able to hear the whole EP. I really love how Same On the Inside is sounding, and Cry Cry sounded beautiful to me. Then Tomorrow was slower than I imagined, but still good. I'm excited lol.

Alternative Nation posted that iTunes Australia is giving 90 second previews of STP's High Rise EP. High Rise Tracklisting: 1. Out of Time - 3:04 2. Black Heart - 3:10 3. Same On The Inside - 3:15 4. Cry Cry - 3:29 5. Tomorrow - 3:30 This is their thoughts on the unheard songs. The clip of "Same On The Inside" reminds me of Tiny Music…Songs From The Vatican Gift Shop and Purple instrumentally (with a hint of Talk Show), the song sounds like a definite hit and the 90 second clip is the best thing I've heard so far from the new incarnation of STP. The DeLeos' riff that leads into the chorus soars. Chester Bennington sings during the memorable chorus, "When do we stop pretending we're all the same on the inside?" The clip shows the song has all of the makings of STP pop rock bliss. On the "Tomorrow" clip Dean DeLeo channels Jimmy Page but Bennington's melody gives the song a modern feel. Bennington sings, "Tomorrow's just a dream I can't contain/It's like a fire I can't contain/And though it seems so far away/It's just a day a lonely day." "Cry Cry" has a very southern vibe during the verses, where Bennington channels Scott Weiland circa Velvet Revolver vocally, with some No. 4 melodic sensibilities. Article here. Thoughts?

I really love this. It grabbed me faster than OOT, but I'm still not sure which one I like better. I'm stupidly excited for the EP, especially Cry, Cry. Chester and the guys nailed the live version. This is definitely incentive to try and make it to the Houston show.
-
haha, I was talking about more of the classic rock look of it.
-
STP tweeted this picture. Looks like it'll be the cover art for Black Heart. I think it fits the vibe of the song perfectly.
-
All STP news is being moved to their subforum instead of the newswire. As for the song, I LOVE IT! Rock is where Chester's voice shines. Whoever is producing knows what he/she is doing because they took advantage that Chester can actually SING and let his raw voice come through. Oh this is going to be on repeat on my iPod probably till I get the EP.

Yeah Anthony Green is doing a PreOrder of his new cd and for $1000 you get a one hour private skype show, handwritten lyric sheet, deluxe cd, handpainted vinyl, tshirt, and digital download. Stuff like that makes you want some extra cash on hand lol. But bless you collectors who are biting the bullet on this ReCharged one. Did anyone preorder just the cd? I spent mine on STP's EP and I'm waiting to see if this is worth it since I already have half the cd on my computer.

High Rise EP is now available for Pre-Sale in US iTunes for $5.99 HERE. Worldwide Pre-Sale is coming soon.

Very cool find. Great job Felipe!! -
Mike said earlier that the extra stuff (globe thing/sculpture) were to cost. But it is strange because I really don't know who they're trying to market it to. I'm sure if it was under $200 a significant amount of people would buy it. I would say a lot of LP fans are in their twenties dealing with living on their own for the first time and/or college, and then teens who won't be able to get that amount of cash. I remember the auction items would sell pretty high, but charity might have been an incentive there. And then casual fans might get the cd, I highly doubt they'll spend $500 for an art book and stuff. As for the cd (the only thing I might afford lol) I'm waiting. I was so disappointed by the remixes that have already been released, and I'm not excited enough to actually buy the cd. Probably will eventually just to have all of them, but I'd rather spend my money elsewhere right now.
-
FYI A Light That Never Comes is considered Official Material. I hope the new mixes don't sound like the ones we already have. I have faith in Mike's anyways. Probably most excited for the I'll Be Gone ones because it's one of the LT tracks I really enjoyed.
-
I feel like this is the same feeling a lot of us have. Interested in the new mixes by Mike, but not pleased to see the old LT mixes from last year on there.
-
Anyone thinking about going? I do wish STP would hit a major Texas city with a solo show, but I'm seriously considering this one. Only down side is the ticket prices. But the Woodlands is one of my favorite venues, so I'll see. Also a concert in November in Texas I'm pretty sure is the same for anyone else in September temperature wise lol.
-
Artisan News did three short interviews with Chester and Dean DeLeo, talking about performing with a new member, Scott Weiland, and Chester's thoughts on being a frontman for STP.

I started listening to them when I was 15 and now I'm 21, so it's been a while. I'm also a firm believer that Hybrid Theory and Meteora are really two completely different albums. Meteora was the first one I listened to, and it's what hooked me into the band so even now I never skip any of the tracks when I hear it on my iPod. The others are interesting. As I've grown older I have gravitated more to listening to MTM/ATS then Hybrid Theory. I don't think Hybrid Theory has a bad song on it, but I think there are better songs on MTM/ATS. LT is like a outlier. It was too rushed and the large majority of the songs I have to be in a specific mood to listen too. Like Geki, I'm not thrilled with the electronic emphasis as of late. I was never a hiphop/electronic fan, Mike and LP pretty much being the only exception on my iPod. So I do miss Chester getting a chance to do, what I feel is his more natural area of rock. It's also why I don't mind at all that he takes the time to do STP since really that's where his voice shines IMO. I think I'm still a pretty big fan, but I left fangirl a long time ago. I think the majority of us on this site are huge fans, but are willing to admit the band and everything they do isn't perfect.
