Your reply made it seem like you were talking about Ananas and Linkin Park since those were the topic being discussed. I can only read what you write not what you maybe meant. That downside part is something you made up. She's not obsessed to the point it's unhealthy or undesirable. She's just very passionate about it. I think all bands would not have any issues to have a meet n greet with her

I think that artists nowadays have little to no reason to release music just for a small group of fans. Everything has to be made available for streaming on all digital streaming platform. That Is why people consider lpu demos as "unreleased" media when in fact it has obviously been released, sometimes both in physical and digital format. I can't see them releasing the emptiness machine demo and not add it to Spotify. Considering the way in which the music business is structured nowadays, any kind of new linkin park music is too valuable to keep it hidden in the LPU. I could see them making those demos available to everyone on streaming but only giving LPU members the chance to buy it on a CD or digitally. But even then the exclusivity of the old fan club is kinda lost With the release of HT20 and Meteora20 they made previously LPU esclusive music available to everyone. They basically diminished the value of the LPU vault. Hopefully of we get MTM20 next year this trend will keep going until almost all the LPU music is free.

How?

Nostalgia is certainly a component of the success but in linkin park's case it's definitely a smaller factor compared to SOAD, Limp Bizkit and Korn. Linkin Park's comeback is also driven by successful new music. Most of the other bands either don't have new music or it's not successful. A lot of the young new audience wasn't even born in the early 2000s but are buying tickets because Linkin Park reached a legacy level so that people acknowledge their important status in music history but also are interested in their new music. Linkin Park was probably the best catalyst for the nu-metal rise. I think that the anniversaries of HT and Meteora contributed a lot to it. But since LInkin Park hasn't been a traditional nu metal band since decades their recent success can't be attributed too much to the general newfound interest in nu metal. For example Limp Bizkit dropped a limp bizkit-like nu metal textbook song almost 1 year ago but it's stuck at just 30 million streams on spotify. That's not bad at all for Limp Bizkit in 2025-26 but people are clearly choosing the limp bizkit of the past. The same can be said for Korn. By looking at the streaming numbers of their latest studio album from 2023 you could hardly tell that nu metal has been on a rise since 2023.

Unshatter is just a cool name for the documentary, the song doesn't have to be in it. It's more the a year old so it doesn't need a special treatment in the film. It wasn't even in the teaser trailer

Meteora has been the most successful and most streamed linkin park record since 2023. If things keep going this way Meteora will pass Hybrid Theory and become their most streamed album ever period. Obviously it can't surpass HT in physical sales tho

I'm not an artist, you are right. I probably can't say that I ever put any real effort in pursuing any artistic endeavor. But I'm the only one who can judge that, it's rude for you to assume that about me. I have a brain and I don't have an agenda or obvious prejudice about the topic. Police and art are antithetical, I know that for sure

I really don't understand why people think they can decide what is art and what is not. Whether people like it or not some real artists are using AI. If you don't like it then it's 100% ok if you do not support it. But to just label it as "not art" and the people involved as "not real artists" really feels like dogmatic thinking, far from the freedom of arts.

I think they will change the setlist a little bit only when they get back to Europe. They will play in many countries they already visited last year so I expect them to add to the rotation 2/3 songs they haven't played with Em yet. Up until then it's all shows where they haven't played in a very long time or never so they might keep the 2025 setlist.

I love Paramore too but that means nothing so it's really dumb tbh. Hayley Williams is a phenomenal singer so Mike could ask her to try and sing UFTB in the same style of Emily and she's good enough to pull it off probably. But Emily and Hayley don't sing the same way at all. If Hayley would sing UFTB in her own way it wouldn't sound like the Linkin Park version. If Emily would sing a paramore song in a style that suits her best it would not sound like the Paramore song. Women singers don't sound all the same, just like men singers don't sound all the same. You wrote something like "Billie Joe Armstrong could sing Smells like teen spirit and it would sound the same as Kurt Cobain singing it".

I mean Up from the bottom has many flavours and punk is one of those (not necessarily in the front, but definitely in the background) but I doubt many people would make the connection to Paramore if it was sung by Chester. Alternative rock/punk is not just Paramore, hundreds of bands. Overall the song has almost all the traits that makes you think of Linkin Park. If UFTB was released by another band people would say they copied/tributed Linkin Park, certainly not Paramore.
