Where'd you go was a big single in 2006, charting real high on billboard hot100. In the early days it was a bigger success than Remember the name, but remember the name staying power made the difference over the years. You are right tho imo. The rising tied is a success (certified platinum) but it's not huge as hybrid theory, Meteora or MTM. I hope that the 2023 vinyl reissue of the rising tied sold well so it can can entice warner to do the anniversary edition

Tbf other active bands have been releasing anniversary editions of their albums, like Green Day, Muse, Evanescence, etc. The biggest question mark is if Warner is going to think that it's a marketable project. A boxset has a high target price and even if the rising tied is cult for many LP fans it doesn't have the attraction of a LP studio album. I hope the rising tied 20 happens but I doubt it will be on such a large scale as the one proposed above. I'm much more confident on MTM20 happening

2024.12.12 - Riyadh, Saudi Arabia - Soundstorm Music Festival

It's delusional to think that LP could play a show in Israel in 2025, international space station would be more likely. The comparison with Russia is very easy to understand -

For 5 dollars I think it's a super deal. The full album+3 live tracks and a 46 page digital booklet. I bought it in a heartbeat -

I bought this so fast. Can't believe how good of a deal this is. PS: It looks like mine is really a pre-order so I am not getting anything until the 15th -
Great work. Keep em coming

I disagree. I don't know if this is the only slow/melodic song on the album but I feel like it's honest that singles represents the album in the best possible way. Over each other really sounds like a single to me, not like an album track with not much single potential. Right now singles makes most sense before the album release. Singles are becoming meaningless post release date. This feels kinda like Leave out all the rest type of single. Obviously LOATR was the fifth MTM single but 2008 was a very different era. They gave HITC to the fans of their early work and now they are giving something different to fans of their more melodic work. Also HITC was not released for radio airplay so they might want to push a pop-rock ballad single to gain momentum for the release date. I know it has pop elements and meets OML halfway but it is way more a rock song than anything in OML, it's like a poppier final masquerade imo.

Linkin Park is hinting a new song 'Over Each Other'

Judging by the emptiness machine and the dead sara videos she is also a better actress than the rest of the LP guys -
From Zero: A Conversation with Mike Shinoda and Emily Armstrong
ScottiePippo replied to martinez's topic in Newswire
I think dead sara can have a brighter future with the massive new exposure they got because of Emily. But yeah I mean time wise they are kinda screwed because now they have to depend on Emily being available. It's not impossible, she could do what Chester did when he was both in LP and STP, but that's almost no life and that's the reason Chester quit STP because he couldn't spend time with his family. On september 5th Dead Sara posted on social media that they would be back in the future but the way Emily talked about Dead Sara in the podcast gave me the impression that she is not looking back at dead sara. Let's see -
From Zero: A Conversation with Mike Shinoda and Emily Armstrong

They talk about how they could have released way more songs on From Zero but chose to narrow it down to just 10. I'm so excited. They definitely have more music in store. They also name a few demos that are are not on the final tracklist. The way Emily talks about Dead Sara makes me think that band is over -
But MTM20 will be even bigger because of that

Linkin Park Adds Second Show in São Paulo, Brazil
ScottiePippo replied to LPLStaff's topic in Newswire
That is probably true but we have to consider many factors. Linkin Park already played 2 sold out shows in the US and they are for sure going to play more US shows in 2025. People in the USA might just be waiting for LP shows closer to their area when they play a proper north american tour. For Brazil it's different. Brazilian fans can't know when LP will be back after november, and they were starving for LP -

I think they are in Seoul now because of Heavy is the crown. LoL is massive in Korea. Also Joe is half korean so maybe he gave a little push to come back to korea after a long time -

The first rap verse could be better but the second one is stuck in my head and it's perfect to launch the chorus -

Mike Shinoda and Linkin Park to appear on the Tonight Show 9/17

I would not be surprised one way or the other. I'd understand if Brad was not there but he's also involved in the promotion of this new chapter so he might play for tv -
That's so cool. I love singles CD. The cover is amazing, so different from all LP ever released

It was bad?

A possible LP new album would not necessarily mean that they started from 0 if indeed the process started late 2023-early 2024. We know Mike has been constantly making instrumentals for years. Many of those got released but Mike could have saved some of those for LP who knows. Then there's the fact that Mike and LP are known to store unfinished projects from previous albums for years and to rework them later. We know very few demos from albums like THP and OML. So some rough ideas, demos or instrumentals from 2014-2017 could have made a comeback in the studio. Also they have been very quiet in these first 8 months of 2024 so maybe they spent this time rehearsing to find a new singer but also jamming and composing new music all together. All this to say that I think we might get a new LP album soon. They have never released a studio album in the winter so we might have to wait for spring next year. And if there's no new album on the horizon but for now it's just a non album single it's still fine for me.

QWERTY 3-track Digital Single | LPU, Discord Limited Edition Vinyls
ScottiePippo replied to martinez's topic in Newswire
If a LP fan did not want to spend money on Papercuts because he/she was only interested in Friendly Fire and QWERTY then this vinyl is a great opportunity to have them both and own a very rare release. If I had not bought Papercuts I would have definitely bought this one. Also it's limited to just 1000 copies so whoever bought this owns something that is potentially worth much more.
