nice find! it's the breakdown before the end

Also this made me finally realize where I knew PNNYAHHH sound from - it's in Blue too after the first chorus

Seems like the origins of Blue were called something like YA

I knew about the PNNYAHHH sample being in “Blue” for quite a while now.

  2. So, apparently, it’s actually confirmed from TJ Demonte in that video that the audition tape tracklist is this:

Xero Instrumentals (send to all vocalists auditioning for Xero, including TJ Demonte & Chester Bennington) Tracklist:

    1. Rhinestone (Forgotten)

    2. Pictureboard

    3. Esaul (A Place For My Head)

The album will be (in no particupar order):

    1. Spin

    2. Wake Me

    3. Starting To Fly

    4. Holding You

    5. Hole

    6. Believe Me

    7. Here, Nearby

    8. Drag

    9. Anything, Anything

    10. Saturation

The reason the project started as a remaster of No Sun Today was because the band didn't have the original tapes for Wake Me and the producer of the original albums asked a lot of money for them and they weren't willing (or couldn't afford) to pay. It's the same reason we never got the Real Records album and No Sun Today pre-production tapes which includes Ryan's Wisdom, Super Star and Old School. If I recall correctly, the band doesn't have those either. They were very lucky Jason still had the Wake Me tapes and agreed to let the band use them. What they might have is Come On and Commit.

Unless the band manages to track down the SDAHF master tape (we believe the original rip of Kill The Flies that's floating around came from it, the sound quality is much better than the cassette rip), I don't see them using those songs either. It's also unrealistic to expect them to use songs like The Endless Highway, Everybody's Falling To Pieces, etc. because those were only ever played live. Grey Daze was a small independent band and didn't have money to record that many songs in a proper studio.

Only 24 tracks were registered when the band was working on Amends. 11 from Amends + 10 from the second album makes 21. I believe the number includes the 3 acoustic bonus tracks for Amends, so that would make it 24.

What about the 1994 demos of My Bluest Day and Smoke Mouth? You didn't mention those.

  4. Since we already got an idea for what should be on Grey Daze's next remix album, I got an idea for their third remix album. They should remaster their demos, even the unreleased ones. I'm talking about songs like Commit, Come On, My Bluest Day, Smoke Mouth, How Would You Be, The Endless Highway, Piece Of My Mind, Everybody's Falling To Pieces, Beyond Warm, Ryan's Wisdom, Super Star, Old School & Forever.

  5. As we all know, "LeftRight" was a song recorded during the A Thousand Suns sessions that didn't make the album. Chester is heard recording vocals for the song on the Meeting Of A Thousand Suns documentary, screaming "Left to right, what are you worth, show me what you got!!!! yeah yeah yeah yeah". A rough approximation of the original seed for the song was released on LPLive for free download on August 5, 2019.

But are those the actual lyrics?

From what I hear, I hear this:

"Left to right, when you lose it all, you show me what you got!!!! Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah!!!!"

    Or this:

"Left to right, when you use it all, you show me what you got!!!! Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah!!!!"

    The video:

  6. This completely unrelated to Linkin Park, it is related to Grey Daze, however.

Does anybody know the correct lyrics to the unreleased demos/songs of Everybody's Falling To Pieces, How Would You Be?, The Endless, Highway. Piece Of My Mind, & Ryan's Wisdom?

    Everybody's Falling To Pieces

    How Would You Be?

    The Endless Highway

    Piece Of My Mind

    Ryan's Wisdom

I put the lyrics of the songs up on Genius, but there are some lyrics from the songs I can't decrypt.

I need help with the lyrics.

There's almost no chance that Mike would say anything other than "I don't remember that one specifically, but we had a lot of demos from back then that didn't go anywhere."

Maybe it's worth a shot, but Mike's memory is notoriously bad and it only gets worse the farther back he's asked to remember.

Even though his memory is indeed notoriously bad, like when he was asked about Cuidado when he couldn't remember whether it was the working title for "Lying From You" or "Figure.09" and when he could remember that Meteora Rob drumming demo from the Making Of Meteora, but could not remember the name of the demo, it's gotta be worth a shot, even if we don't get a precise answer.

Hm hm. I have no proof but my guess is this could be the same song as Thoughts That Take Away My Pride just another part of it. But it's lyrics/words on a wall so it could be any song or not a song at all.

What if it's all just from the Thoughts That Take Away My Pride demo? Which probably isn't even called that, it probably has a real name lol

So would it kinda be confirmed to be lyrics to "Thoughts"?

I agree with Diaux. Timing would be bad especially after he just dropped a book talking about them. Plus, I think he wouldn't do it out of respect for the band and the friends and family of Chester. I know its been four years but still would be a jerk move to leak stuff like that.

Maybe we could wait a few years or so.

But, also, what if someone else had the cassettes and CDs and decided to try and leak them?

I don't think Jeff would take the risk of getting sued to leak some demos from 20 years ago. don't you think it would be suspicious that he is the only that have mention the existence of those songs and they would magically appear on the internet right now?

It would be a little suspicious if he did that, but he could just probably put the songs out on a file sharing site such as Mega or MediaFire.

Plus I would love to hear the 1998 Xero demos of "Stick N Move", "Slip", "Step Up", & "Carousel," as well as Mike Shioda's 1998 demo of "Pointillism".
