Honestly, I feel like warner would (in theory) make good money if they release these

I was talking with my friend about these and it could be a decent way to make money, they could set them all up for $10 an album, digitally (for each HT/Xero CD) as well as $10-$15 for each CD

If all of those CDs are a bit much to reissue after a while, they could do $10 a digital, and also have $20 each, coming with digital copies,, and a pre-order of a physical limited edition copy

Yeah obviously they would have to agree with it

Its a whole thing, its just sad these files and stuff are just sitting somewhere untouched, like whats the harm in at least selling them?

I think it would be a great idea to just take the cassettes/CDs (the Xero ones), convert them over to .mp3 using some sort of cassette/CD converter, then just sell the tracks online. I mean, it doesn't sound like a bad idea.

It would not be a good idea to do that with the Hybrid Theory/Linkin Park stuff, though. We know that Warner/Linkin Park themselves are probably saving that for a later release in the future.

  2. Jeff Blue can probably leak those Xero tracks. It would have to be leaked somewhere private or somewhere public while Jeff Blue being anonymous. Warner doesn't care about Mark Wakefield.

There's no way Jeff Blue an leak any Hybrid Theory/Linkin Park tracks. He would be at the mercy of Warner. Warner cares about Chester Bennington.

The highest bidder has half a million USD laying around in various Ethereum tokens so I guess it's a rich person who doesn't really care that much about $21,000.

that guy should pay Ostrish for the HT documentary

I agree. He should buy that Hybrid Theory Lockout performance off Marc Ostrick.

    It's not Mark Wakefield

What do you mean? How is it not Mark Wakefield? It says on Linkinpedia, since it didn't sound like the band Wakefield, and since it wasn't the band Wakefield at all, based purely on the voice and the fact that no one have ever been able to attribute it to any other artist, it is believed to be a Mark Wakefield solo song.

  5. What's In The Eye (Acoustic) (Amends) [Target, Japan, Saturn Bonus Track]

What's In The Eye (Stripped) (Amends... Stripped)

Sometimes (Acoustic) (Amends) [Target, Japan, Saturn Bonus Track]

    Sometimes (Stripped) (Amends... Stripped)

Soul Song (Acoustic) (Amends) [Walmart Bonus Track]

    Soul Song (Stripped) (Amends... Stripped)

I'm pretty sure between both acoustic & stripped version of "What's In The Eye", "Sometimes", & "Soul Song" from Amends (Walmart, Target, Japan, Saturn Exclusives) & Amends... Stripped, they are either the same song or slightly different versions from one another.

Isn't that basically the same version as the piano version from the 90s?

It’s a different vocal take from the Amends version, don’t know it it’s the same as the 90s piano version, it may be

I think it is the same vocal take because the same studio conversation from the acoustic version of "The Down Syndrome" from "...No Sun Today" is at the beginning of "The Syndrome" from "Amends... Stripped". Not too sure if they used the Amends version of the song for the bridge or not.

  7. During "Stick N Move", the strings in the song are sampled from Giacomo Puccini's Madama Butterfly, Act II: "Un bel dì vedremo". When does the sample occur in "Stick N Move" and where in the sampled song "Un bel dì vedremo" is the part where it's sampled in "Stick N Move"?

Stick N Move (Xero Demo) (Mark Wakefield):

Stick N Move (Demo) (Chester Bennington):

So, this might be a stupid question but how come the Hard Rock Cafe Orlando, FL live show from Oct 16, 2000 isn't uploaded in the archives? This would be the same show that is in the bootleg Splitting the DNA album. I lived in Florida for most my life (only recently just moved) and I have been to the Hard Rock Cafe several times for Modest Mouse, Bright Eyes, and even the Game Grumps. There is a wall full of framed photos of bands that have played there and their dates. Linkin Park is up on this wall. Also, within the audio Chester can be heard saying "Hey hey, Orlando!" and Mike can be heard saying, "We have an album coming out in a week. It's called Hybrid Theory" which lines up as Hybrid Theory was released Oct 24, 2000.
Is it because it's on a bootleg album and more info is needed to solidify it as certain?

I think you got the date mixed up. On October 16, 2000, the show was in Houston, Texas, which hasn't been confirmed if it was played or not. I found it on here in the 2000 & earlier shows by looking up the date you mentioned.

  9. Which One Step Closer performance was it in which during the "Shut Up" bridge in which Mike sings "blood is pouring"? Which performance was it? I remember hearing it one time on YouTube, but now I can't remember where the performance was.

  10. I know this may be a stupid question to ask, but on the Hybrid Theory EP vinyl from the Hybrid Theory Super Deluxe Boxset, at the beginning before the lyrics “I’ve got no commitment to my own flesh and blood” it skips a couple seconds of it and cuts off the word “I’ve”. Is it just my Hybrid Theory EP vinyl or do all Hybrid Theory EP vinyls have this problem?

P.S. I noticed it when I was listening to the vinyl. This problem doesn’t occur in the rest of the Hybrid Theory EP vinyl or the Hybrid Theory and Reanimation vinyls.

The last demo mentioned in the book is an unmastered copy of the album from May 9, 2000 under the name Plear (after "Hybrid Theory" and before "Linkin Park"):

    01. Papercut

    02. (Now I See) With You

    03. Points Of Authority

    04. Plaster

    05. Crawling

    06. Run Away

    07. The Untitled

    08. By Myself

    09. The Cure For Mr. Hahn's Itch

    10. Pushing Me Away

    11. A Place For My Head

    12. Forgotten

So basically this is just Hybrid Theory (Unmastered Studio Finals 5/7/00), just the band had a different name, and The Cure (Cure For The Itch) was renamed The Cure for Mr. Hahn's Itch, and The Cure For Mr. Hahn's Itch (Pushing Me Away) was renamed to Pushing Me Away.

Holy shit this is so fucking amazing!!! I want to hear it all shiiiiit! I always thought Carousel was a Xero Demo because it sounds like Xero Demo! And now I know that Mike just released nothing in the HT20 if I compare it with this. OMG. My mind will blow up with these info. I want the first studio Xero CD so much.

Same. I also want to listen to the first Xero CD.

How can we just look for it? Who shall we contact?

Agreed, who do we contact and where do we look? I was searching it up and I only found stuff on the original Xero demo tape. That's it.

Edit: Can't find any specific information on the demos themselves.
