What if it's all just from the Thoughts That Take Away My Pride demo? Which probably isn't even called that, it probably has a real name lol
I'm guessing only time will tell until "Thoughts That Take Away My Pride", which probably has a real name besides that, gets released by Linkin Park.

So someone put the lyrics on genius apparently: https://genius.com/Linkin-park-thoughts-that-take-away-my-pride-unreleased-meteora-demo-lyrics
Oh yeah, by the way, that was me who put those lyrics up on Genius. I only put the lyrics I could interpret/see from the lyric sheet of the song. That's why it's not complete. We need to know if there are more lyrics to the song. Or we could ask Mike to see if he, somehow, remembers the name of the song, the lyrics, and see if he has the lyric sheet to the song.

I don't know if someone's made a topic about this, but I'm making a topic about it. On the "Art of Meteora", I saw something... interesting. During one scene there are what appears to be lyrics from an unknown Meteora demo we probably don't know about that was scribbled on the Meteora art wall by Chester. The lyrics are "I've carried this weight for too long... Disassociated, unappreciated. And everything I've hated, keeping me so jaded. I look into the mirror, and I hate what I see. All my lifes disfuction, alive in front of me." During another scene you can see the lyrics to another unknown Meteora demo. The lyric is "And everything I thought it'd be is nothing like it is.” There’s also another lyric underneath it, with it being a little more to the right. That lyric is “Somebody angry (with the word ‘angry’ crossed out) broken." What are these Meteora demos?
Both sets of the lyrics are even shown in the booklet:
Update: On “The Making Of Meteora”, I found more lyrics to another (or one of the same) unknown songs. During one scene there are what appears to be more lyrics from an unknown Meteora demo we probably don't know about (probably the same one as before) that was scribbled on the Meteora art wall by Chester. The lyrics are “Wait ‘til I’m free, I promise you’ll see.”
Unknown Meteora Demo Lyrics 7 (Same As 6, Different Video)
Parts of those lyrics are even shown in the booklet:
Update 1 (Edit 1): The lyric “Somebody angry (with the word ‘angry’ crossed out) broken" belongs to "More The Victim".
What songs the other 3 lyrics belong to are currently unknown at the moment. I will update this once we find out.

He very likely doesn't know. It's a similar situation to how he had no idea what "Be Yourself" was because that wasn't the actual title of the song. If someone sent him a link to the live performance he would probably say "oh, that's Pictureboard." We'd need to find a way to show him the clip or the screenshot of the lyrics so he knows what "Thoughts That Take Away My Pride" is. Could even be one of the working titles we already know.
Not only could we do that but we should also somehow find a way to show him that small snippet from "Making of Meteora"/"LPTV Episode 5: The Vocals" of when Chester sings the first part of the chorus of "Thoughts That Take Away My Pride".

Could Have Been and Dialate never leaked, so chances are Ashes won't leak ever
Well, lets hope it gets released sometime in the future, either by Jeff Blue or Linkin Park.
Also, is "Xero Reborn" actually "Ashes"?
Edit: I already now know that "Xero Reborn" is "Ashes".

I'm wondering if and when this will get leaked/released?

Someone who follows Mike on Twitch should ask Mike about "Pointillism" and the soundtrack he was working on at the time.

I mean, you're free to discuss it. I personally haven't found any song with that name anywhere. Not by Linkin Park and not by another artist named Xero. The title doesn't sound much like Linkin Park though.

Now that you think about it, the title "Fuckin Or What?" does indeed sound like an unusual title for that of a Linkin Park song.

I'm pretty sure this was discussed before and everyone agreed it was a song by a different artist named Xero that was somehow mixed in with Linkin Park on BMI.
So this topic is dead then?

Bambitt first mentioned this song in the "Pointillism (Xero/Mike Shinoda Demo)" topic, but I thought I should make this it's own topic.
I also searched it up through BMI and saw it. I wonder what it is.
"Fuckin Or What" (Legal Title) - Xero/Linkin Park
This song is... interesting. It's credited to Chester Bennington, Rob Bourdon, Brad Delson, Dave "Pheonix" Farrell, Joe Hahn, Mike Shinoda, & Mark Wakefield as songwriters, which is not just the Xero lineup, but also the Linkin Park lineup. It also mentions the performers are Xero & Linkin Park.

I just found a song "FUCKIN OR WHAT?" in the BMI catalogue. The whole band + Mark is credited as writers and performers are LP and Xero. Any idea about that song?

Do we know what this song is?
(Forget this comment I said. This song belongs to a different band called "Xero".)

Jeff Blue also describes Esaul, Slip, and Step Up in his One Step Closer: From Xero to #1: Becoming Linkin Park book:
Esaul: "Brad’s guitar line in "Esaul” felt iconic. The back and forth with Joe on the turntables reminded me of a western movie duel. This was already on of my favorites during rehearsals."
Slip: "Mike’s verses on "Slip” were intoxicating. His talent was on full display as the pre-chorus flowed seamlessly into a slightly underwhelming chorus. But his brilliant vocal interplay with Brad’s guitar in the first half of the intense bridge leading into a cathartic and beautiful release made this one of my favorites."
Step Up: "Step Up” was written in response to the trend of sticking hip hop into heavy alternative music in a careless way. Mike felt that artists should strive to represent themselves and their music with authenticity, originality, and respect for hip hop. He went on to write that he didn’t consider himself a hip hop expert but the band needed to push themselves harder than they were, because hip hop was not a moniker to be thrown into a song for the sake of street credibility."
This information also needs to be added to Linkinpedia.

I'm pretty certain it's a Mike Shinoda demo on a Xero Promo Release. Like Fiends (which I'm sure is MS or at least almost only MS) on the same disc.
Fiends has backing vocals from Mark Wakefield and sampled vocals from Emcee 007.

Is this song a Xero demo or a Mike Shinoda demo?
It was on the November 17th, 1998 Xero CD, but it was also described as Mike doing the song all by himself.
Also what is the current tracklisting for that November 17th, 1998 Xero CD?
By the way, the page is page 45, if you are still wondering.

I think this might be the Xero 818 demo CD they were passing around in early November. We didn't include that anywhere because we didn't have a tracklist before. None of us remember that page you posted here at all. Maybe Jeff Blue updated his book?
Is there an exact date (or any indication) for when Jeff Blue received the CD? My guess is late October 1998. The tracklist is very similar to the November 17th demo, but without Rhinestone before Esaul. The November demo also had Step Up replacing Pointillism. I wonder if these two songs are somehow related.
We could try to ask Mike on Twitch about Pointillism and this soundtrack he was working on.
It's on the second page of Chapter 11: It's All Happening. That's all I can say. The book doesn't give you the page numbers. It's most likely because I'm using a preview of the book off the internet.

Pointillism is a style of drawing. If a link doesn't work anymore you can always try the web archive:
http://web.archive.org/web/20140714131410/http://mikeshinoda.com/2012/03/04/pointillism/
With that put aside, again is it a demo that we completely ignored that was from that Xero CD?
And this demo might have to be put up on the "Unreleased Songs" page on Linkinpedia.

I don’t know if this is related or not, but I just found it and the page to the link provided in the post can’t be found.

What is this demo?
From Xero To #1: Becoming Linkin Park
Jeff Blue describes it in his One Step Closer: From Xero to #1: Becoming Linkin Park book: "Next was "p o i n t i l l i s m", which was something Mike was creating for a soundtrack. His description was that he felt very alone while writing the song during the transitional period when he started concentrating on music. He'd just gotten a new job and was spread so thin that he didn't have time to hang out with his friends. He wrote that he needed to work hard, or sacrifice, in order to succeed. He had crossed out that last sentence in his notes. I wanted to know what he was thinking. What I did know, was that Mike was intense, driven, and focused."

What is Mike saying/singing in Lies Greed Misery (2010 Demo)?

I looked in the book and "Stick And Move" is actually "Stick 'N Move".

If there's someone who follows Mike on Twitch, can you please ask Mike something along the lines of "Do you remember the song "Thoughts That Take Away My Pride" and, if so, do you know what the real name of the song is?" Also show him this clip.
Also, does anyone know the way the song plays out? Like does it go verse, chorus, verse, chorus, bridge, chorus? Or some other way?
