  1. So they offered replacement items in an email to you? Just want to get it right in the news article haha
  2. He says he got it signed backstage at Prague 2017 but is showing a Hunting Party Tour 2014 pass. Then says Krakow for another one. And what are the chances you are getting Chester to sign a ton of items at once like that? Slim to none. Almost zero percent. Sure, Chester would sign 1-2 things, maybe even 3, but an entire stack of a ton of things? No way. And sign 2017 photos of him on tour? Odds are strong that this is all a scam/fake.
  3. In October 2020, we reported on issues about the misprints and errors on the Hybrid Theory 20 box set. Linkin Park said, "We’ve heard from some European fans who have unfortunately received HT:20 Super Deluxe Box Sets that included mislabeled DVDs & had issues with the laminate & MS lithograph. Please email ht20@wmgcustomerservice.com for further updates on providing replacements for these elements. Your code for the digital download link that is included in the Super Deluxe Box Set has now also been updated with corrected versions of “Hurry” and “Chair” from the LPU Rarities disc." From Discogs: "There are several pressing errors on this box set: - The "Frat Party At The Pankake Festival" and "Fillmore 2001 / Rock Am Ring 2001" DVDs have the actual content of the DVDs swapped around. - Mike's lithograph is pixelated and the Projekt Revolution 2002 backstage pass wasn't laminated. These problems aren't present in the US version. - There is an error in the credits of every pressing of the Hybrid Theory EP vinyl: Mike Shinoda isn't credited for producing and mixing "Technique (Short)", instead, he is credited for "And One" twice. - "Hurry" and "Chair" are incomplete on every CD of "LPU Rarities"." In late 2020/early 2020, fixed elements of the box set were sent to fans (two DVDs, Mike's lithograph and the backstage pass). However, Mike's lithograph was still blurry/pixelated. Unfortunately, the LPU Rarities disc was not replaced with the "Hurry" and "Chair" incomplete versions. And then sometime after this, the "LPU Rarities" CD WAS replaced for only some fans, with the two songs being fixed with their full versions. It is unclear to us exactly how many fans received the fixed "LPU Rarities" CD and how the process went for getting that exact CD replaced, because the original 2020 replacement fix did not even include the CD. The fixed "LPU Rarities" CD is somewhat of a rarity itself. Where did it even come from at that time? To add a brand new twist to the story... In November 2022, fans received emails that said, "We're getting in touch with you, following your contact with us previously, regarding some issues you'd experienced with your original purchase of the Linkin Park Hybrid Theory boxset. We want to apologise for the length of time it has taken to get this resolved for you. So that we can process your complimentary replacement just for you, please provide your details on the Linkin Park Replacement sign up page." We have received confirmation from a few fans today that these replacement items have now been shipped out this week. So, more items are being replaced for fans - maybe for those who weren't included in the first batch in 2020? Or the fixed "LPU Rarities" CD is going out to a larger batch of fans this time? As of this posting, it appears Europe is now getting two sets of replacement items overall. However, the fix does appear to be for fans across the entire globe as we are now getting updates that fans in locations like Mexico, Peru, etc are getting their items replaced as well. All of this is on the heels of a potential Meteora 2023 celebration, as teased by the band the other day. Are you one of the ones receiving a fix for the issues in the box set? What has your experience been in this?
  4. Honestly one of the best parts of the LP community is when the band teases something legit (this isn't just a merch release, judging by their history of how they tease things... they never tease ONLY merch) and seeing all of the guessing going on for what it could be. There are a lot of opportunities for great shows. 2003-2004 had some of the band's best shows in their career. You could argue 2005-2006 were still in the Meteora era, since the 2006 shows didn't have any MTM songs in them. And of course - demos and unreleased songs. It's been obvious for 20 years at least one or two more songs had vocals on them that were cut from Meteora. Not to mention, what about all of the potential demos LP edited vocals off of for LPU releases? Cumulus, Homecoming (MTM), and others are just a few examples. We have a LOT of great Meteora instrumentals from the LPU, but even if they re-release a few of those with vocals like A-Six or something, that could be cool. We'll probably get the "Thoughts That Take Away My Pride" song since that's the biggest "holy grail" item in the community left for the band, with Friendly Fire (OML) probably falling right after that. There are probably a lot of tracks/titles we just don't even know about from Meteora as opposed to Hybrid Theory since the HT demos existed online for ages but just weren't officially released. There's really not too much from Meteora like that online as no demos ever leaked. Demos of most of the album with vocals could be pretty cool.
  5. And how would we do that? The only people that have it are MTV and LP's team or the label. None of those entities would ever sell it to us. The footage of this MTV thing is really cringy.
  6. For those of you who are looking for Linkin Park news, the band has sent out a new email to the LPU and to general Linkin Park mailing list with the following text: "Happy Holidays Street Soldier, Usually around this time, you’ve come to expect an update on the latest and greatest LPU offerings, but we’ve decided to hold off just a little longer. We’re planning some exciting things for 2023, and we’ll be able to tell you more in January. Until then, we wish you a safe, healthy holiday season and a happy new year. LPU HQ" The Linkin Park Underground releases their yearly fan club edition near the end of each year, usually in November and December. The most recent edition, LPU 21, featured a selection of new merch and a reissue of the LPU 2.0 CD but on cassette for the first time ever. With the unexpected passing of Chester, the band has not released a new LPU CD since November 2016 but has continued giving the LPU access to exclusive merch, Mike Shinoda's presales, meet & greets, contests, and more. With this email, it sounds like Linkin Park will offer something for the LPU in 2023 instead, timing up with the anniversary in March 2023 of one of their most beloved albums.... Meteora As if the timing wasn't enough, \for those keen enough to notice, the bottom of the email was signed with the photo of Boris Tellegen aka Delta who appears on the Meteora album cover. The Hybrid Theory 20 release in fall 2020 was iconic for the band - releasing unknown demos, several unseen live shows, the Hybrid Theory EP on vinyl for the first time ever, and much more. If "exciting things" for 2023 means a possible Meteora celebration... sign us up. What would you like to see Linkin Park do for Meteora? Would you welcome another box set in some form or fashion? Only time will tell, but the first hint is out and by the reactions on social media, Linkin Park's fanbase is pretty excited. January 15, 2023 EDIT: Mike Shinoda, through a series of Discord messages, has confirmed that Linkin Park will be celebrating the Meteora 20th anniversary this year. He posted the following messages in Discord on his main channel in a conversation with fans: Mike Shinoda: "I feel like 2023 is going to be an exciting year" B_Modz: "Meteora 20th?" Mike Shinoda: "that's certainly one reason" Northwest: "AYO LEAKING A NEW ALBUM??" Mike Shinoda: "Not a new album, but there will be things that are...of interest to you" There we have it - Mike says the Meteora anniversary will be a part of the 2023 excitement, and also hints at possibly something else coming during the year. Let's see what happens!
  7. In a series of Instagram stories, DJ Lethal of Limp Bizkit posted a few songs he is working on revisiting from his unreleased solo album. One of these was an acapella he posted of "Cry to Yourself", a 2001 song he did with Chester under the title "State of the Art" as it was known for years. This song ended up not coming out but was partially aired on San Diego radio's Skratch 'N Sniff show in July 2004 by DJ Lethal himself. It was then leaked to us in full via a private message in 2009, which we then posted. From the song's Linkinpedia page: "Right before Linkin Park's European tour in September 2001, the band gave an interview to OnStage where Mr. Hahn revealed Chester had recorded a track with DJ Lethal: "Chester just did a song with Cyclefly and also with DJ Lethal, and Mike and I just finished a track with the Visionaries too."" Chester did comment on the leak, via Twitter, and said he didn't know who recorded bass, drums, and guitar on the song, but the recent tweet by Lethal indicates Limp Bizkit members may be on it as Sam Rivers appears to have laid down some bass for it. DJ Lethal in a few recent tweets said he would like to finish the song, posting, "I would be down to with with the guys on this ! Peace. Mike and joe know where to get at me. This should be done right. I like this idea !" in response to a fan saying a full reworked orchestral version should be done, and also said "Would be cool with doing it for charity too!! Would just be cool to get it out. No pressure I was just going through my old computer files. Peace and Love" The song has never been officially released and the mp3 quality of the leak is quite low, so a full release of it one day would be nice. The releases with Chester on them at least seem to have to be approved by Talinda Bennington. She has approved every release that we know about and have heard, except for Slash's "Crazy" track with Chester. We will see what happens!
  8. Boy, what is a News Thread these days? This isn't Twitter, is it? Is thing even on? Remember nearly two years ago, in January 2021, when Linkin Park released a 100gecs remix of 'One Step Closer'? At the time, Mike said, “Part of the spirit of Reanimation was to take the Hybrid Theory songs that people knew so well, and let innovative artists flip them in ways nobody expected… I think 100 gecs did exactly that.” Press at the time reported that more remixes were on the way for the project. A new article by Metal Injection says that the band Polyphia had remixed the song 'With You' for this project: "During a recent episode of Amoeba Records' What's In My Bag? series, Polyphia guitarist Tim Henson picks up a copy of the 20th anniversary Hybrid Theory CD and reveals the existence of the remix. As of now the remix remains unreleased, but man – now we wanna hear it!" "I can say this because this is out," said Henson as transcribed by Metal Injection. "This is the 20th anniversary [edition I'm holding]. So last year they had contacted us to remix one of the songs on here and we remixed 'With You.' It's a fucking crazy remix, it's an insane remix and it was supposed to be us, 100 gecs, Brockhampton, and a bunch of people. It was for the 20th anniversary and then they just canned the idea after we had turned in a fully mixed and mastered, incredible song." Tim Henson indicates the remixes may have been a part of the Hybrid Theory 20 box set, something we have not heard until this interview if that is indeed true. If so, not only was that idea scrapped, but the entire project itself was scrapped and no more remixes have surfaced. The remixes may have been intended to be a part of a Reanimation series throughout 2021, since the first remix was actually released in January 2021. Read the full article here. In August 2020, Mike worked on a Twitch jam under the theme "anime prog metal video game theme" with an idea to do prog rock in the style of Polyphia, Periphery, Incubus, and more. In February 2021, we did an article about Mike saying more Hybrid Theory remixes were on the way. "Talking to The Needle Drop, Mike explained that he was having conversations with Warner, who brought the idea up to him to have artists do Reanimation-style remixes to continue the celebration of Hybrid Theory 20 this year. Mike liked the idea but wanted artists who were super creative and not artists who would just make some generic pop remixes of the album's songs. Along with 100 Gecs, Mike mentioned that he'd been having conversations about umru, Kero Kero Bonito, and Blood Orange. He added that some of the remixes worked out while others didn't, so we will have to see what Linkin Park ends up releasing. In addition, Mike seems to have been working on a 'Papercut' remix himself." It's no secret that the 'One Step Closer' remix by 100 gecs was pretty unpopular with a wide portion of the Linkin Park fanbase, but when has Linkin Park ever gone with the mold? It is almost guaranteed some of these other remixes are quite good. This is the first time we are hearing of Brockhampton in the mix, with umru, Kero Kero Bonito, and Blood Orange. Additionally, Mike also mentioned on Twitch around this time that he thought 'Crawling' would work well with a female vocalist in a "stripped down" style... whether that was actually done or not is unknown. Unfortunately, no more remixes have been released and this is another project that has been shelved by Linkin Park. Maybe for Hybrid Theory's 25th or 30th anniversary we will see more of the remixes.
  9. As Billboard reports, Mike Shinoda will be contributing a new comedy song he wrote to the Apple TV+ comedy show "Central Park." "Apple TV+’s acclaimed animated musical comedy series Central Park kicks off season 3 on Sept. 9 with a slew of new songs contributed by returning collaborators Sara Bareilles, Ingrid Michaelson, Regina Spektor, Rafael Casal, Supercommuter and Mike Viola. Additionally, new guest songwriters on the 13-episode season include Jesse Carmichael & Samantha Shelton, Open Mike Eagle, Ester Dean, Helen Park, Mike Shinoda, Emily King, Germaine Franco and Garfunkel & Oates. Hollywood Records will release Central Park Season Three “The Central Track Sound Park” on digital service providers on Sept. 9 to coincide with the new season. It will include songs from the first three episodes with new songs released weekly." We are not sure when Mike's track will be released or which one of the 53 tracks it is, but we will keep you updated. On June 5, 2022, Mike posted in Discord, "Oh, speaking of TV or whatever, I may or may not have written a COMEDY song in an animated show. But it'll probably be months before it comes out."
  10. This would be believable if there weren't 10 million versions of the album. Someone, somewhere was trying to make as much money on this as possible. The entire marketing campaign from only using Chester's photo on all streaming platforms until called out, selling Chester LPU photos, etc all apply to this as well. The dude is an ego maniac.
  11. Mike is exactly right when he said the song is bad - the snippet on Archive is really quite bad. Choosing Dialate over Deftest for HT20 was a smart move.
  12. It was not us as the site, that's for sure. I'd absolutely tell you if we bought it - we did not buy it.
  13. The tracklist issue is a good question. The samples are legit, so they mixed the tracklisting up either to us or on their own page. However, Deftest just doesn't sound good. No wonder they didn't want it release. The page to buy it won't accept any current bids, so did someone buy it in person? Do we even know what's going on with this?
  14. This guy seems like he is genuinely full of bullshit - his story doesn't check out. He has that photo with Mike which is photoshopped and all of his other photos came from Meet & Greets. His timing that he says he worked on stuff with LP doesn't make sense either. I don't think this is authentic.
  15. They haven't done a ton of promo for it yet, but we will add stuff as it happens (interviews, track by track, etc) with info.
  16. Mike provided a brief update on the band today on Twitch, when he said, "The only Linkin Park news I have for you is - yeah, we talk every few weeks, but there’s no tours, there’s no music, there’s no albums in the pipeline. Let me just tell you that. So just keep in your minds that that is not happening." You can view the video here.
  17. Finished Amends yesterday, working on Amends... Stripped today on the wiki.
  18. We'll sit down and finish this up soon - just got to creating the page for The Phoenix yesterday with the updated Anything, Anything info. Will work on this, thanks for the reminder.
  19. I check the site like once a week, if that, lately. Will move it.
  20. Agreed with Trumtram. It can still be a legendary album without winning a Grammy. That Foo Medicine at Midnight album is groovy as hell. Pretty solid.
  21. Walmart.com has listed a new Reanimation Funko Pop, arriving in May, celebrating the 20th year anniversary of Linkin Park's remix album Reanimation. The website says, "This Pop!
