Apparently, Grey Daze is working on the follow up to their record “Amends”, out on Loma Vista on June 26th, 2020, which debuted #1 in the UK Rock chart. Guitarist Cristin Davis teased on his social media that the band is working on new material, arguably the rework/remix/rearrangement of the remaining songs from “Wake me” and “No sun today”. We’ll see what happens, stay tuned. UPDATE: In an IG story today, the band wrote they have enough material for album n. 2 so “stay tuned” UPDATE 2: Cristin Davis posted a picture on his Facebook account saying “Epic 5 days of writing with one of the most talented and hard working people I know” specifically referring to Esjay Jones and using the hashtag “new music”. UPDATE 3: Sean Dowdell confirmed to me (lol) on Direct that they are working on new material with Esjay Jones and the band (source: me 😂)

To me one thing is thrashing the song as a whole, another one is pointing out Mark’s performance. The song itself instrumentally is cool and I really like Mike’s classic HT-style rapping but Mark’s performance is mediocre at best, and it’s pretty objective TBH. I saw far better songs being treated like garbage here and now just because this one was considered by some people a “holy grail” we should overhype every aspect of the song ? No, thanks 😊

The new 30STM photo book announced today is a cashgrab 100% (and I love Mars, saw them live 2 times in the Monolith tour). Crazy prices compared to the offer

I assume that for THP LT and OML we’ll get smaller bundles, like a re issue of the album with maybe a vynil and a cd with some demos and that’s all. It makes sense to me

I love the enthusiasm but I don’t think it’s safe to assume that we’ll get 2 new LP albums in 3 years from now... I mean it’d be great but who knows 😊

It’s not THAT pricey IMO, but even tho I want the Forgotten demos I won’t purchase the big box because there’s too much stuff that I already have and much stuff I’m not interested in like DVDs. A BID set with the forgotten demos and rarities and the big book for like 60€ would have been great (similar price to Amends box set)

What is the 16 pages booklet listed with the 2 cds edition ? I guess it’s the standard album booklet of HT

Friendly Fire is my top pick by far. Love OML sound and Chester sounded great on that album. Thoughts that take away my pride is my second pick and yeah, we could get a lot of music out of MTM demos

Yeah as I said, don’t want to sound offensive but his vocals are... ehm... not good.

Yeah it’s a matter of taste, I think She Couldn’t gives us a good Chester performance but sounds a bit dated now. As I said, I’d enjoy it more without the sample and mayyyyybe even without Mike’s Little rapping, as much as I enjoy the acoustic 2017 Crawling more than the studio version now.

Yeah I like the fact that they showed their soft side even in their prime with those soft songs, but agree on the fact that in terms of sound, not talking about Chester’s performance, My December and She Could’t would have sounded dated as hell in 2017, and I think it’s one of the reasons why the band, as an example, started playing Pushing me away piano version instead of the original one. I remember Mike reacting to “kids react to LP” 3 years ago and saying (referring to OSC or ITE video or stuff like that): “you guys should understand that this in 2000 was cool, but this in 2017 would be dated and pathetic/ridiculous” or something along the lines of this, and he was 100% right.

LOL I found an Italian review of Amends where the reviewer says that B12 is the best track on the record 😂😂😂
