  1. I don't see why people would expect them to play songs like OSC or Faint when the lead singer's gone and they (probably) won't bring anyone in to sing said songs.

I could see the Mike handling singles like WID, WTFTE, and BID if they were watered down a notch.

He could even do Rebellion with another type of "scream".Like the way he did the last part of the bridge at the Hollywood Bowl Shows. Everything's possible.

  2. To start a trip back to the main topic, I state that I'm looking forward to more show announcements and I'm really curious how the setlist will look, especially since Mike will perform by himself, he can change the set like he wants and maybe ask the fans what he should play (He did that for the Berlin show, where he made a poll of like 4 songs and one of them, he played).

  3. There is a difference between sharing your opinion and or showing deep hate against certain groups...And by the way, there is no "right opinion" in a democratic country...And the argument that this is just "your opinion" is one of the worst in a constitutional state. The way you wrote your "opinion" is rather a punishable act than a "right opinion"--

  4. Don’t forget that concerts are more expensive in general. In the past, artist made their money by selling millions of records so peo Me got to see e.g. AC/DC for like 30€. Nowadays no one really cares about record sales so they make their money at concerts and in this case it is for a good reason.

And that’s why I always said that even if LP would charge prices like Guns n Roses or Metallic, I could understand it since they are not a small band etc.

  5. Crossing A Line could be a damn mega hit on the radio under LP's name. So catchy but it contains a message, which is different from probably 90 % of the mainstream music.

btw.: The best thing of the video was when Mike stood beside a dude with the exact same shirt. It's kind of meme. Looking for Mike? Well look for that red and black shirt :D

Looking forward to the record and expect Mike to announce further shows in both Europe and the US

  6. Not sure on the genre of this one, sounds really poppy. We will see. Post Traumatic EP is super dark, I love that. It can't all be hella dark though.

I guess that Mike is like LP - Cannot be defined by a genre. Maybe more hip-hop driven but he has shown us how different he can sound.

  7. Main Stage? I hoped for a small venue, more intimate show. If he adds more Europe shows it would be awesome to have it.

He probably uses these big massive festival shows to promote his stuff. Solo shows can come later

  8. First and foremorst, I am thrilled to see him perform. Maybe it is kind of a test for him to already try all kind of songs (Rock, Pop, Rap etc.) in front a foreign audience.

In addition, how many minutes do you think he will play? He is quite at the top of the bill so I guess he gets about 45 - 60 minutes of total playtime?

  9. Why do we have to start this matter over and over again. Once Geki wrote something similar to what he has written, people are getting triggered and have to respond but also artificially extend this.

But with all due respect, why in almost every comment section even though sometimes it has nothing to do with it.

    Back to topic

Watching As I Fall is my favorite, reminds me of FM

  10.

    M. Shadows said that's what he respected about LP, David Draiman too, Corey Taylor too, that the ever evolving sound is a great thing.

They are probably glad that someone has the balls to change their sound literary every album. They are probably too scared to change completely and that's the thing everybody respects LP for. You can hate it or love it but at least respect that they have the balls to change.

  11. ****NOTE****I'm not saying replace or forget Chester in this post****

After hearing these songs, reading the lyrics, seeing his update at the end of Watching As I Fall, and the vibe of the Twitter replies - I think that when LP finally regroups and makes new music, they may archive their work up until Looking For An Answer. Over Again really makes me think performing any song that Chester's touched would be too painful to keep playing and revisiting.

They're going to find what will work best for them, but I wouldn't blame them if they took some more time to heal, then "started from scratch" as a five-piece band with maybe a 2 part larger comeback album in a few years. If they went that route, the extra tracks could give them material for a decent setlist, but I wouldn't expect/want them to play older stuff if it's gonna hurt each time.

I agree, and it's not that Mike couldn't pull some normal LP songs even some heavier ones. So I hope they build from what Mike has started here. Especiall WAIF has a LP vibe with the guitar in the bridge.

  12. After listening to the tracks, they aren't bad. Over Again is probably my favorite, followed by Watching As I Fall, and then Place To Start. There is one thing that I want to say, though, and don't hate on me for saying this. But I'm worried about Mike. He doesn't come across as too sane in these songs. And I don't think a lot of us have been sane since Chester passed, because it's so massive. I know I haven't. But Mike is usually very composed and proper, etc. I love the manic energy from Mike, I think it's great in these tracks. But I am worried about him. From the minute that I heard about Chester passing, the first person that I thought about that was close to him was Mike. They were best friends and have been through everything together. And you could tell Mike was really hurt badly by it.

Anyways, I'd love to see more from Mike as a solo artist after hearing these. I'd love to see him play live, etc, if it ever comes to that. I was worried that they'd replace Chester and start right away for Linkin Park but I knew deep down that Mike could never do that. I really respect him for coming out like this, as if I didn't already respect him enough. Nothing from support and love of my end for this.

When you watch the video for one of his song (I don't know which one it was again), he looks very tired and exhausted when he talked about what is happening right now in the world etc.

  13. For those who are disappointed - You can't expect the band to chose a dozen of demos they wrote with their brother and friend over the last 20 years. A little respect please. It's only 4 month since Chester passed away and we fans may be quiet over it (Some not) but the band is/was in a whole other situation...
