That is true. Same goes for the verses. Apart from the palm muting technique, Alex plays the second verse plam muted like the album version. Brad played around way more. You can hear that in a show from 2017 where Brad doesn't really stop between any of those palm mutes. It's played liked this in the 2nd verse: C# |1-----1-----3-----0-----0-----0-----------------8-----------8--8--8-----7-----7-----------------------------------| Between the last 0 and the first 8 is a clear stop on the record and here Brad just runs it through and creates way more guitar sound with it. He barly palm mutes the lowest string either. It's a stylistic choice tbh. I play around with the 2nd verse as well when I play guitar. Sometimes I like it a bit more open, sometimes a bit darker with more palm muting. Bridge on the record: you hear some strumming, Bridge 2004: You hear like zero strumming Bridge 2025: Clear strumming pattern Bridge 2017: strumming pattern is the closest to record in the beginning of the bridge but Brad runs it through towards the middle/end I would say that Alex may put a bit too much energy into the strumming which leads to almost a full stop of the notes. On the other hand, Brad just never really played it like the record as well and created way more guitar sound.

It's probably hard when the basis of your songwriting is no longer there. 90% of the songs were written about things from Chester's life. Many of the new songs can only be roughly interpreted in terms of Emily's past. But we know too little about her for that (for obvious reasons). To put it bluntly, would we know how terrible the influence of a certain church was on her or that she has now reflected that she was brainwashed by it. Then of course there are topics you can sing about that are very authentic. But since we don't know very much, interpretations of the lyrics of more recent songs are based on speculation (e.g. Casualty).

Another full show source from behind the stage.

I've pointed this out a few times in the chatbox. It's the same setup they used in Japan and it's most likely an Austin-only thing because the show sold really well and they opened up those sections about a month before the show to give more people a chance to see LP. That's not going to happen with the rest of the US shows of the first leg because those shows didn't sell as well in comparison or the arena do not allow such setup (e.g. Baltimore where no sections on one end even exist) But yea, it is neither fish nor fowl compared to the classic 360° set up.

Full show in good quality.

Cool to see Mike so far up in the crowd.

Song will be out on Friday

Man how time flies. I remember during the Meteora20 times how Mike indicated that everything is possible except touring. He was never that open to new LP before that so I had an I Idea that something will be coming eventually. Then Gordon the Lord gave us all the hopes and from there it slowly came together.

Los Angeles Venue Change (Dodger Stadium -> Intuit Dome)

Well I don’t see them doing a big USA January/February tour 2026 like they planned in 2015. they see the demand and they will come to Europe/Asia/South America instead of the US where the demand is not that big. -
So I guess they announced too many shows for Brazil in the first place?

The scratching sounds pretty great. Sad those do not really come across in the studio version.

Fully agree here. ALITS is a monster song by Rob. KTTK, GATS as well. Always liked his groove on Papercut or Forgotten.

I agree.

I would speculate that Joe‘s parts a sometimes more up front than a wall of guitar sound. For example: If Joes plays the Intro to Crawling, ITE or Numb wrong, you immediately recognize it. Perhaps playing a guitar part wrong for a split second gets mixed up in the whole sound production/wall. Therefore, that might not even be too „important“ Just speculation.

Especially the last few answers made me want to post something. It's pretty crazy what has been set up here with LinkinPedia etc. Especially when a lot of stuff are based on the work of our friend Nick. It needs people like him but also people from the LPL staff or us “normal” members who are here weekly if not daily. The way everyone here contributes to the development of something bigger than any one of us is something very special. It's really important to know where the roots of many LP related publications or background knowledge come from. In that sense. Let's continue to work together in this special community in his memory.

2025.02.05 - Monterrey, Mexico

Don’t worry, they most likely won’t…it was similar in Hamburg where I went to see them. I was kinda surprised not getting blasted into the face with big sound. Especially when you are on the floor in front of the speakers. -

Just. Great. -
I have to say that the Lost bridge sounds great live. A lot of nostalgic feeling as I always see the Thoughts That Take Aways My Pride video when the bridge hits.
-
To be fair, that's the case for a lot of LP songs. While some work live others don't. They is so much stuff going on in those songs and they try to play everything live (Keys, synthy, guitar, bass etc.) and not run it from the playback. Therefore Mike is busy with playing a million instruments which influences his and the bands performance. Like, Overflow could be much sicker if he doesn't have to stick behind the keyboard and have to rap while playing keys.

Linkin Park Nominated 4x for the iHeartRadio Music Awards 2025
KeysToTheLinkinPark replied to LPLStaff's topic in Newswire
Isn't it partly up to the band to throw their stuff into the batch and then see if it's getting nominated, if I remember correctly? As for TEM, I don't see why they shouldn't try it. It's probably the biggest new Rock song of 2024, isn't it? At some point it isn't always about the "best" artistical song that gets nominated and wins a grammy. A lot is about popularity. I mean, Metallica is getting nominated again and again and again and it is never like the best thing Metal has ever seen.
