  1. I'm almost positive that it was an interview from 2014 with Kerrang or some other rock magazine. I know it's from 2014 for sure.. I remember Phoenix had that Super Mario mustache in one of the photos from the interview and Mike was wearing a red flannel. I'll try to find it.
  2. I was only kidding really about that. I'm sure Mike will do some German shows, how could he not?
  3. The LPU exclusive MTM shirt from 2009 that you wore to Stuttgart 2009 was one of my favorites that I had. But I lost it since. But you're wearing it in the LPL photo gallery for that show. Such a cool shirt. I am gonna post some photos of stuff I have from 2007-2008, and I think a few 2009. But yeah a lot of it is still available to find online and stuff.
  4. I own probably every t-shirt and hoodie that they made in the MTM era. No lie. LOL. I collect other album eras too but MTM was when I bought most of my stuff because the designs were so badass and because I love MTM. I can post some pics of stuff I own but it will take a while for me to get it all rounded up. I bought a shit ton from the band, at LP shows, Hot Topic, Spencer's, etc.
  5. I literally just thought the same thing.
  6. Nice venue and cool that Mike is going to Russia. I'm happy any time that I see a show in a place that isn't Germany since they got like 5,000 shows a year with LP over everywhere else.
  7. Nah, LT is awesome. It's the best album next to MTM. It's LP with Chester. And Idk how you can like the bubblegum pop of Crossing A Line without liking BID which is one of LP's best songs ever written. And I feel like I've turned 90 years old waiting for the album from Mike to drop. With 8 songs being released it feels like it already did. Doesn't seem like there is much excitement for it and the views show it. Not to mention you don't hear it that much anywhere. Just drop the damn album already bro. Who waits until the release day and sits down and listens to the entire album. It isn't 1999 anymore. Do it the way Avenged Sevenfold released their last album, just drop it when you feel like it's time for the world to hear it. I hate artists who hype their shit up for like 8 months and especially when they release so much from the album before it. I feel like that old ass model of release an album died out in like 2007 the absolute latest.
  8. UIB is 100% a better song before I even hear that Mike Shinoda song solely because it's Linkin Park pre Chester's death which is better than 100% of all other music in the world to me. But yeah, can't say that description gave me much hope. It was more the battle rap description that turned me off. That's just laughably bad when he try to does that. I was expecting a more somber, heartfelt song, kind of like Iridescent meets Slip Out The Back. Just to close off the album and end a chapter and start a new chapter with the future. And the lyrical content doesn't do much for me either. I'll wait to hear the song but I doubt I'll like it.
  9. Basically just R&B, pop and hip-hop. I could have called that last year if you told me Mike was gonna make his own album.
  10. I'm starting to agree with this. Over Again is amazing. It's deliberately about Chester and it's a good song. I thought more songs on his solo album would be about Chester, I'm surprised. I'm not faulting him on that, I just figured it would have some huge, epic songs about him. Maybe he'll do that with LP in the future. I mean I almost get this sense of resentment and anger towards Chester from Mike with a lot of this album, particularly from the songs that aren't released so far, but also some released ones. Chester would never have wanted to hurt anybody or ruin anyone's career, etc. He was mentally ill and had severe depression and it just took over, people in that mindset don't always think rationally. In fact, they say a lot of suicides are rash decisions, they aren't always super planned out, etc. I think maybe Chester thought that LP was always Mike's band (which he said when he was alive) and now that Mike can sing and make these epic pop songs, they don't need him, almost like his work was finished. And he probably thought Mike could easily lead the band and that's what would happen. But it hasn't happened yet. Maybe it will next year or whatever. But that's really the vibe I get from Mike on this album. And now that I know the final track, Can't Hear You Now, isn't actually about Chester and it's not this big epic closer, I really have no more hopes for the album. I was expecting this huge, epic as fuck closer like Slip Out the Back or something but about Chester and the future. I'll listen when it's out but I'm over it at this point. Bring on LP. Maybe we'll get some big epic Chester song from Mike during that.
  11. Why did he wait to release it this long when every release so far has been a Thursday? Is there a purpose in it? Also, I thought the song was about Chester's ghost. But that speech at the beginning has now let me know it's not. But he's right, I guess this is just a random have fun song, he should be able to make that. It's also funny that the clock says 11:53, I wonder if there is any significance. I don't usually go to bed until like 3 AM and I bet a lot of other people are like that, maybe Mike.
  12. It's crazy to have witnessed album releases and stuff ever since MTM and it used to be like thousands of people would reply when a new track even got announced and now you're lucky to see like ten replies to a new song or album. People keep saying Linkin Park isn't a dying band but idk. But on the other hand, there's been like 10 singles released off of the album so at that point it's like why not just release the album. I admit that I'm one of those people who lose interest in new stuff if it takes centuries to come out but I did want to hear some of this stuff. It's hard to get excited when no one else is, though.
  13. There was also a reference to Kanye somewhere on the Fort Minor site back in 2005 too, and doesn't he get a shout out in the intro for We Major, or the outro? Maybe even the intro for the Sampler Mixtape. It's one of those.
  14. Yeah that preview did nothing in terms of overall sound of the song. I thought the whole song would be like that first verse. Lol. It’s not too bad of a song at all.
  15. Can't post it because it's probably not official. Just use Google.
  16. Where can I hear the song? Is it out? EDIT: Found it. I actually don't hate it as much as I thought I would. Don't care for the style in the verses but the chorus and rest of the song is decent. Not a track that I love but I don't hate it, either. It's middle ground for me like some of the other tracks I've heard. Lyrics aren't bad, though, they're pretty cool.
  17. I don't hate Place To Start, About You or Running From My Shadow. I just don't love them. The only track that I really don't like is Crossing A Line. Just can't get into it. It's really poppy but it's a different kind of poppy then songs like Nobody Can Save Me, etc. I think the positive lyrics with the poppy sound just kind of isn't for me. But there is a lot of diversity on this album. Ghosts sounds like it will be similar to Crossing A Line with the overly poppy sound, but the lyrics might be a little cool. I'll judge that one after I hear the full song, obviously. The final song on the album, Can't Hear You Now, is the song that I am most excited for, and it's supposed to have a poppier sound, but also be empathetic and with emotionally driven lyrics. I love Nobody Can Save Me and that's almost what I expect the song to be like. But who knows. I'll post a song by song review when I hear the album in it's entirety.
  18. Kerrang! has a great one with details about the rest of the tracks. Can’t Hear You Now is an emotional track about Chester so I’m excited. The track with Chino is supposed to have epic vocals from him. Etc. Mike also said in a interview with Forbes that I.O.U. is a grimy dark hip hop song. https://www.pressreader.com/uk/kerrang-uk/20180606/281818579523315 https://www.forbes.com/forbes/welcome/?toURL=https://www.forbes.com/sites/stevebaltin/2018/06/06/mike-shinoda-i-have-no-idea-where-things-are-gonna-lead/&refURL=https://www.google.com/&referrer=https://www.google.com/ ''Empathetic closer Can't Hear You Now hears him tackling - and seemingly overcoming - this whirlwind situation head-on. ''Thought that I was finished, but I hardly had begun, in fact.'' I bet there is a lot more to that track too.
  19. I really like Over Again, Watching As I Fall and Nothing Makes Sense Anymore. Place To Start, About You and Running From My Shadow are ''alright'' to me, I don't hate them or love them, they're in the middle. Didn't really like Crossing A Line at all and still don't. I think this new song Ghosts will be in the same category for me as Crossing The Line. I can almost tell just by that preview, just like I could from the original clip of Crossing A Line. It sucks because I thought by the title that the song would be good, but I guess I shouldn't judge songs off of the title. LOL. The album still holds promise to me.
  20. Just heard the clip. WTF is this garbage. Lol. Sounds like some shitty R&B song you'd hear on the radio. I was totally expecting like a dark introverted song.
  21. Awesome news.... I really wanted to hear this song. It is 1 of the 2 that I am most excited for. The title just sounded awesome to me. Can’t wait to hear the song.
  22. Still comes up as sold out to me.
  23. That was like me with OML. I got the super deluxe package announced in February, then the vinyl from Urban Outfitters, the regular vinyl and then got like 4 copies from tickets for the 2017 tour. Lol. I pre-ordered the M.S. CD in March and then the NYC offer too. Lol.
  24. Well what the hell, it's only a small time left now, mind as well just wait for the CD pre-order to come in the mail anyways.
