  1. Nice.. so new LP x Steve Aoki collab on Neon Future?
  2. No real need for this thread anymore since we have the song interpretations thread.
  3. Yeah, that was what I was basically referring too. LP has been extremely successful after HT. Like you said, Meteora was HUGE and so wasn't MTM. New Divide and the whole Transformers franchise was also extremely big for the band. Also, how can he say any song on HT is really ''softer''? The only song on HT that is softer is probably PMA and it is still a rocking song. Lol.
  4. I meant more in the fact about his description of songs and overall view of the band, but it's to be expected.
  5. Great news. I wonder when it will be released and when the album title will be announced.
  6. So the single is done... Hmm. I am thinking maybe a May release for the album if this is true. Exciting news if this is true, but like I said, I am taking this with a grain of salt.
  7. I don't think Blaine Marshall has any idea what he is talking about.
  8. DIME is so 2005.
  9. I think the touring schedule will be very similar to the LT cycle. Maybe they will keep on doing the same schedule every 2 years, who knows.
  10. I'd say early April for a single release. Seems most logical.
  11. Yeah, the band has even stated that MTM has a lot of death metaphors. I think MTM's lyrics are the easiest to interpret.
  12. Honestly, there are tons of war references in the song. At least to me. The song is definitely about death and possibly suicide. MTM had tons of death metaphors in the songs, more than half the album actually.
  13. Wow! Sounds like the album is almost done, if not completely done by now. I didn't expect them to be done this early, I figured they would be done around late March or April. Nice. However, I'm gonna take this info with a grain of salt for the moment. 'New' could mean a new single from Mall, a new single from the new album or maybe even ALTNC. Haha.
  14. I think Andy Wallace is mixing the new album and Manny might be mixing Mall with the band. Mall was ''in production'' during the time LT was being recorded and mixed as it is. I don't think they'd bring in Andy just to mix a song for a movie, I think he is mixing the album.
  15. I met LP will take Of Mice & Men out on the road at some point for this album cycle.
  16. Interesting that he played the Vicetone remix.
  17. I think in recent months (especially this month when Chester told me it would be heavy as fucking shit) they have found more of the direction they want to go in. I don't think they knew the exact direction they wanted to take yet when they were experimenting with acoustic folk songs and dubstepey sounding songs. We will see. I think there will be some HEAVY shit on the new album.
  18. Yeah, there is no arguing that the final product was much better. I guess it is very important.
  19. The mixing on LT isn't horrible to me, although LP has used better people to mix their albums in the past. Not too much of a big deal for me, I never get too concerned with that kind of stuff. If the music is good then it doesn't matter, at least to me. But Manny has also worked with rock artists and even some metal artists, etc, he hasn't just worked with pop artists.
  20. ''Ladies and Gentlemen, Brad Delson''
  21. Chester is aware that he made the comment before with MTM, but here is another comment from Chester about the heaviness of the album. At the same time, working with Mike [shinoda], the guy's so prolific and he has such good vision and he's been listening to a lot of really great punk and metal music that I have a feeling -- I've made the mistake of saying this before, when we were making Minutes to Midnight, I was doing this interview and at the time we were writing really, really heavy music and I said, "It's going to be the heaviest record we've ever made!" And then it came out and it was just not heavy; it was, like, the opposite. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/ches...rick-how-629638 This is what Austin Carlile from Of Mice & Men recently said in an interview. We know he is friend with Mike but this is some cool info. You guys are keeping hard rock alive... Oli Sykes: We're trying to! Austin Carlile: We're trying to get the torch passed. I was recently with Mike Shinoda, and we were talking about that. I want the torch. I want rock music to come back. The bands back in the day were the biggest. Those numbers of records sold don't exist anymore, but I feel like people still love the music just the same. I think they're just waiting for artists to come out with albums like that. That's why everybody likes Bring Me The Horizon's record so much because it does that. It's new, and it's good. That's what we hope they do with our new album too. http://www.artistdirect.com/entertainment-...arlile/10864001 Also, in this interview with Mike, about 2 minutes in, he also talks about how they said MTM would be heavy and it ended up not being heavy. He gives no other info about the sound. But why would he bring up that exact thing if the new music didn't remind him of it being heavy? Lol. Kevin & Bean interview with STP from 2013. ''I was in the studio yesterday with the boys from Linkin Park and we happen to be writing some pretty mellow music that I was screaming my brains out to until 10 o' clock last night'' EDIT: Here is a link http://kroq.cbslocal.com/stone-temple-pilo...ic-performance/
  22. Me too. I don't really care where they are recording the album anyways, as long as this album is epic.
  23. The guys over at LPA have discovered some cool information. They may have figured out where LP is recording. Check it out. http://lpassociation.com/forums/showthread...992&page=16
  24. It was so bad..
