Not sure if Rakim would go on TV with them, but you never know. He obviously would never be able to play the song with them at every show, so I think they will just cut out his part completely at those shows instead of Mike doing the rap. I do think that Rakim might join LP to play GATS at Wantagh, though.

Will LP be able to play this song on a show like Jimmy Kimmel or something like that? I say this because of it's 6 minute time length. They'd probably have to cut it a bit short, probably just play the radio edit.

I don't think the lyrics to GATS are as much political as they are aimed towards record companies and the record industry. But I suppose politics could relate to that.

It's because tons of their demos from like mid 2006 and before that were never written with vocals in the demo process. Ever since LP started working with Rick at the Laurel Studio, they started adding vocals to the demos, ''scat vocals'' and stuff like that. They did it ever since.

Do 30STM still play The Kill or Attack?

It's being ignored on Alternative charts because the song is everything BUT Alternative. Lol. LP changes up their sound with every album, it's crazy and awesome when you think about it. I agree that this single will only get play on real rock stations. I think if Mike said they chose this song as the first single because it was the DNA of the album that most of the songs will sound like this song or heavier. I know there might be a softer track or two on the album, but I'm not sure if they will be releasing a single like that before the album comes out just to cater to other listeners. I think LP envisioned an overall sound with this album and they went with it full force.

Seeing as how Mike just said back in November that he didn't have any plans for a new FM album, I highly doubt that ''FM will be back in 2015.'' Would be cool to see a new FM album and new DBS album, but I don't think we will ever see sequels, honestly, because both Mike and Chester have stated in the past that back in 2005 they didn't think LP could make those kinds of music so they did their own solo albums, but now LP can do whatever they want, so there is no use.

You should know that I basically love the song now and the biggest issue I had with it was the fact that there was a guest on a main album, but I've gotten over that and Rakim's verse is insane. I also realized that the album will have tons of heavy songs, Chester even said if people like GATS, they will love the new album because it's super heavy, he says. This may be one of the best singles LP have ever released at this point.

Yes, you are right. I think it means June 2014, June 14th makes no sense. And if you listen to the Boston interview, Chester basically confirms that ''The Hunting Party'' is the title, IMO. In the other interview he also basically confirms that no other guests will be on the album besides Rakim. Also it's awesome that he and Davey are gonna be hanging out and he likes their new CD Burials. Great album, just bought it recently and I love it.

Isn't that the entire point of going to a show? Unless you're just going to shows to check out random bands and artists, but a lot of people will travel and pay to see their favorite band play. Lol. Honestly, you can't expect LP to tour Europe more than everywhere else for each album cycle. I know you guys didn't get a proper Europe tour in your opinion for the LT cycle, but LP has done TONS of shows in Europe over the years, Europe even got more tours than the US for the ATS cycle. At the end of the day, LP is a US band, so naturally they will play the US with big summer tours like this one, but that doesn't mean they will forget about Europe, they will definitely be over there. It seems that most of the bands I like are always playing festivals in Europe because that's what people like to go to. I love festivals, personally, and the US festivals are nothing compare to European festivals, I hear. But LP also has to play places like Asia, South America, Australia/New Zealand, etc, they are a global band and have a lot of fans almost everywhere. I think it's fair if each continent gets basically one tour or so.

This is the greatest day ever. Finally. Changing back all of my LT and LT related stuff back to no caps, I don't see the point in having only one album (two if you count Recharged) in all caps in my music library.

It's funny because honestly this song reminds me A LOT of Metallica. I can see how some people say it reminds them on A7X, but honestly, it reminds me more of Metallica for some reason. Not that it's a bad thing, Metallica is fucking awesome.

I think the whole caps thing is just the band using a different font. Basically what I mean is they type the songs in all caps but they do that with their band name and album names from all on. Hell, they even typed Steve Aoki and Rakim in all caps. So I don't think there is a need to put the stuff in all caps for iTunes, etc

Anyways, is there going to be a photoshoot for this album? Cuz they are using a LT promo pic to promote their new single. A music video for their new single? When does it hit radio? I'm shocked that Warner let LP just give away their new single for free, unless this isn't the single for the 6th album and is for Transformers 4 or something. When is there official announcement? Mike said the album still isn't even done yet, right? Are they going to have the album ready by like the Carnivores tour? So many questions.

Yes, if there were actual screaming vocals or maybe even the slightest bit of aggression from Chester, I would be very pleased.

Not a big fan of this... wow, first LP song I haven't loved. The chorus is lacking the ''heavy'' I thought would be there. Not a fan of the insanely long intro and I hate the fact that they would have a guest on a main album, especially on the lead single. Really let down. I guess I should have kept my expectations lower. Btw, this isn't heavy. Maybe in LP's world it is.

The clip we heard sounds nothing like nu-metal, nor do the descriptions of the new music so far. It sounds like thrash or hardcore, maybe a hint of old school metal in there. LP has never done this kind of music before, this is all very exciting to me, something new. This like ATS in a since that it polarized a huge group of the fanbase, which it has been doing so far.
