  1. I think LP will definitely be playing last. Incubus also had the same set length as LP, I believe, and they always played before LP. I think AFI will open this up, then 30STM and then LP, just judging by the conversation with Nikki Sixx.
  2. LOL when I heard GATS on the radio today, it was in between Metallica and Motley Crue.
  3. Bands can record vocals and stuff overseas and send them to other artists, look at what LP did with We Made It back in late 2007, they recorded on their Asia tour. Not saying I think 30STM is doing this, but it could be possible. I think they will be artist that we aren't expecting as far as collaborations go.
  4. Just heard GATS on the radio today, it was awesome. It's basically a hard rock/heavy metal station out of NY, though, it wasn't on the usual pop radio that plays LP stuff in my area (BID, SOTD, ITE, etc). Also, Hahninator's comment brought back memories of when I used to hear songs like Crawling, Faint, In The End, One Step Closer, Somewhere I Belong, etc. on the radio. The radio has changed so much and especially in my area.
  5. I actually LOVE the studio version of The Messenger and I'm one of the very few LP fans that does. I just love when he does that whole raspy style singing thing and it sounds perfect to me. I think the issue I originally had with GATS was that Chester wasn't aggressive enough, the opposite of what you think. I think it definitely called for some huge epic screams during a few parts, but it's still heavy as hell.
  6. I hope the album does in fact come out in June, I can't wait any longer. All this press and everything has got be so pumped up for this album. Great interview, probably my favorite one that has been done recently. Not too big of a fan of having all these guests on the studio album, but it's whatever, I will get over it and probably end up loving it just like I did with Rakim and GATS. One thing I seriously hope happens is LP, 30STM and AFI all doing a song together. Chester is right, how often have 3 different rock bands collaborated and did a song together? Would be so epic.
  7. The most common songs here are Shadow Of The Day, Waiting For The End, In The End and BURN IT DOWN. I hardly ever hear any other songs from LP.
  8. It does annoy me sometimes when there are aggressive parts in LP's songs and they don't use aggressive vocals to go with it, but I think the mellow parts do have good mellow vocals to go with them.
  9. No desire to see the movie but that's cool that they used RU.
  10. They probably do.. For example, I feel like ''Homecoming'' off of LPU12 definitely had vocals at one point. It sounds like a complete LP song to me and it fits very well with a lot of the songs from MTM that made the record.
  11. Definitely been a long time and it's a good live song. Not sure if it will return but who knows?
  12. Yeah, sounds about right.
  13. I honestly think LP will just skip the rap section entirely when they play it live, unless they do a show with Rakim, etc. I couldn't see Mike rapping Rakim's verse, but they will definitely keep the intro live.
  14. You'd be better off to ask Skipees or Astat, but I am almost positive it was the same, just low quality, so it made it seem like it was different.
  15. The POWERLESS thing wasn't really an alternate mix, it was just a low quality clip someone put up from the end of Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter. It's the same as the version on LIVING THINGS.
  16. Not all of MTM has classic structures, actually, a lot of it doesn't. But also this is why I said ''a heavier MTM with the structure of songs from the ATS era''.
  17. Has anyone seen LPU's post on Facebook from a few days ago? https://www.facebook.com/LinkinParkUnderground Summit announcement is going to be announced soon. I wonder where it will be. I am thinking probably in the US during the Carnivores Tour. I think maybe Hollywood or somewhere on the West Coast.
  18. These are the songs I think will stay from each album. Hybrid Theory: Papercut, One Step Closer, In The End, A Place For My Head Meteora: Somewhere I Belong, Faint, Breaking The Habit, Numb Minutes To Midnight: Bleed It Out, What I've Done A Thousand Suns: Waiting For The End, The Catalyst, New Divide Living Things: Lost In The Echo, Burn It Down, Castle Of Glass, Lies Greed Misery I think that is all that will stay and the rest of the set will be new songs. Before someone feels the need to point it out, yes, I included New Divide on A Thousand Suns for the hell of it. I think Given Up has a possibility of being in the sets, but I honestly think LP will retire it, even though it's one of my favorite songs they play live. I think the new material will be pretty heavy and take a lot out of Chester, so I think they will get rid of Given Up for that reason, we all know it's hard for him to do. I also don't think Crawling will make a return to the set, most likely only at Download, for the same reason as Given Up.
  19. If I had to compare GATS to anything, it would probably be MTM. Only because it is very raw and the vocals don't have tons of effects like they usually have with Chester's voice. I feel like if MTM were heavier and it had the structure of the songs from the ATS period, the result would be something very similar of GATS.
  20. People are saying it reminds them of the ''old LP'' like Hybrid Theory, but it doesn't sound like that at all. Just because they are using the guitars more prominently and there are less electronic elements doesn't mean it's Hybrid Theory. Listen to Hybrid Theory and then listen to GATS, it's very different. I think they are going in a new direction with GATS and this album personally.
  21. Rakim absolutely destroys Macklemore.
  22. The Kill sounds awesome acoustic. I'd recommend Love Lust Faith + Dreams as well as The Kill.
  23. Does anyone else find it a bit odd that LP didn't plan a release date for GATS or even promote it at all, they just randomly released it to us? No music video, etc. Kind of a strange approach for a LP album, usually they promote, etc.
  24. Nice, The Kill is a great song. I'm not too big of a fan of Attack, but my friend asked me if they play that song when I told him they'd be on tour with LP, so I figured I'd ask here. Mostly I like their new album.
  25. This x100. Rock in general is not popular in the US at all and especially a 6 min progressive rock song from Linkin Park that is heavier than most of the other rock out there as it is. LP is definitely making a statement with this single + album, but it's not going to be popular in the radio/mainstream way.
