Yeah look at your best buy's but it definitely is only at a few who didn't look at the release date details. I'm still working on getting them from the person who posted the pics of the package, since they do not know how to upload tracks!

Hell yea, let's do it. Today is #fortminor day. TRT is a genius album to this day.

Hopefully they can release the cd in 2010. Also the possibility of FM starting back up in 2010, is the thing I'm most hoping/looking forward to.

Never understood why the battle made the record, some mixtape songs like 100 degrees or spraypaint and ink pens would have been a better fit.

yeah i'd buy it, the killers did that like 2 years ago and although the cd didnt sell that well im sure the fans loved it.

Yeah but everyone would make out on that. Warner/ the band grabs in some bank and the fans are happy. I'm sure they'll do that eventually.

It's incredibly likely that warner bros owns the copyright to all LP songs, so it's probably not up to LP. And the LPU isn't exactly profit central.

I mean have Warner sell a cd in stores that anyone can buy. I wasn't referring to the lpu at all. I'd just like to see some of these songs that never made the cd's.

More demos sound good to me. Why don't they just release a cd of demos if they have so many? I'm sure a lot of people would buy it.

The lpu is nice and all but the chats are so outdated. A video chat should be used instead of typing to a screen.

I don't really understand why everyone complains and complains that Lp "takes too long" to put out a record. Its not like the music world stops because they don't put out new stuff..

 

Take the time to look at other bands, different genres.. Have a wide taste in music, don't be the "ZOMG, LP IZ THE ONLY BAND THTA EXSISTS!!!!11" guy... There are countless numbers of musicians out there that put out incredible music all the time, and yes, most of them put it out quicker than LP. Most of the time, if there isnt any new music from LP coming out, I listen to various other artists that have incredible music, like: Paramore, 10 Years, Tool, John Mayer, Dave Matthews Band, T.I., Adelitas Way, Timbaland, Justin Timberlake (don't hate, he's more of a musical master than you are), Shinedown, Slipknot, Colbie Caillat, Serj Tankian, 3DG, Jason Mraz, Eminem, Jay-Z, Creed, DBS, Atreyu, August Burns Red, Buckcherry, etc...

 

What I'm trying to say is, broaden your horizons, listen to other people, so that when LP does release something new, you appreciate it that much more. If you like rap, go listen to some new and upcoming MC, go back and listen to the originators and see where everyone is coming from.. If you like rock, same thing, look for some new artist that is gaining popularity, like Adelitas Way or 10 Years, or go back to the 50's, 60's and 70's to see who these guys are listening to to get inspired, just don't fall into the LP is God rut and miss out on all this awesome music...

Most of us like a wide variety of music but lp tends to be our favorite hence us wanting them to release albums more frequently than every 3-4 years. Some of us realize the wasted potential here as they get older, they will not sound as good, ie chesters voice.

The perfectionist label they have has to be lifted, with all of the material they write, there's no reason that every 2 years we should have a 15 song cd.

Mike wrote lockjaw in one day and it's amazing, I think they just tend to over analyze stuff.

Your also talking to the guy that beats off to Fort Minor nightly, so good luck with changing his mind on that...

Anyways I think everyone here pretty much agrees that lp takes way too long making an album, some of the best song they've made were done in a short period of time. We're approaching the 3 year mark since mtm and it doesn't look like we'll have the album out anytime soon.

TLTGYA was one of LP most epic song they've ever written. SOTD was a pretty darn good one. not lame at all

First of all, why is it that people assume that we'll be getting a Chester-sung-version of "Stick N' Move"?

 

I am looking forward to "Across the Line": because it's a new song. I am curious to see why it was never originally finished and why it was cut from the final selection.

 

Second of all, I am looking forward to the "Drum Song": this song is to date the only epic song LP has written.
