I find it extremely contradicting that the people who are idolizing the 17 second scream are the same ones who wanting more ballard-eque LP albums.
-
Maybe ATH is the real album and ATS was just a bad joke the whole time.
-
Honestly I think they've lost their uniqueness. I have tons of LP merch, tattoos, etc. I am/was a big fan. I personally think WB is to blame in all of this.
-
Well, they said that the next album will not sound like ATS, so it's not will be ATS part 2. And the next album will be what the band want to be, you saying it should be hevier or soft don't will change anything. And if you don't like it, leave the band, don't be like some people here at the forum that im sick of, they just say negative things. If i don't like one thing, i keep it to me, and if i have anything construtive to say, i try to express my self, not like some people that say they liked LP, but now they don't like because they started to regress. LOL, it's a fucking joke.
umad? I'm expressing my opinion just like you are expressing yours. Less guitar is a bad thing when they're known for their energy and all of a sudden they just completely abandoned their signature sound on ATS. I'm going to state my opinion in hopes that the outcry from ATS can avoid us ever getting another LP cd like that.

Brad's a guitarist, wtf is he doing if he isn't playing guitar?

Not at all. Most of the songs during the MTM era and the songs that made the MTM album were dominated by Chester because Mike didn't want to rap, and often times Chester's vocal sounded better, because well, Chester obviously has the better singing voice.
ATS had MANY vocals from Mike. Prior to ATS, Mike didn't really sing on albums like he does on ATS. I know he did a little on MTM, but Mike does vocals in every single song on the album except for The Messenger, he might even do harmony or backing vocals on that song as well, just not so sure. So I don't see what the hell you mean by this. I'm sure the next album will have Mike doing vocals as well.
I meant rapping wise. Mike isn't that great of a singer- I think that's pretty apparent.

Oh great, ATS part 2
-
Meteora demos or deleted songs please.
-
Easier To Run. That's why I love it so much. Deep lyrics without compromising the traditional LP sound.
-
i like house of blues too. but the 2001's rock am ring With You is better. the scream is huge. everybodys jumping.
RIP, LP(2000-2007)
-
Have you even listened to A Thousand Suns?
Unfortunately, yeah.
-
Did you know Linkin Park used to be a rock/hip hop band back in the 2000's?
-
He's far from a backup singer and keyboardist. That may have been the case fore most of MTM, but not on ATS.
Chester dominates the vocals in LP now. He's definitely not the frontman of the band anymore. Thanks, Rick Rubin!

Meteora or Reanimation songs.

The LPU is a joke now. Not worth the money since meet and greets are not guaranteed( I'm 0-5) and the forums aren't what they were. The cd is the only bright spot.
-
I kind of do too. I love what they have been doing with the LPU CD's in recent years with all the awesome demos and b-sides. I think I like a lot of the b-sides more than actual album tracks, to be honest... For example, What We Don't Know has to be one of my favorite LP songs and I think it's one of the best tracks from the entire MTM era, and the band just 'forgot' about it!
Yeah, I agree. I feel the same way about Blackbirds.
-
I'm not a fan of this. I wish they went a different direction. Maybe even let Mike produce it on his own.
-
I think...I finally agree with you on something...
-
I'm positive they could polish up 12 b-sides and make an album and sell a lot. Especially the stuff from Hybrid Theory or Meteora, songs we never heard that didn't make the cut, would draw a lot of attention. I love all the MTM b-sides so far, and maybe ATS has some good ones too.
Yeah, it's funny that I look forward to the lpu cd's more than I do for album release now. They have a lot of great older tracks.
Speaking of which, isn't their obligation to Warner over after their next cd? Correct me if I'm wrong.
-
I'm actually all for another DBS record. I liked it a lot more than ATS.
-
The only songs I liked on it are BITS,Blackout and Blackbirds which isn't even on the cd. By far, the worst LP cd to date.
-
Or how about they went back to rock and hip hop but expanded upon the 3 minute song and verse formula and made something truly experimental. I just think they excel in the rock/hip hop category not the pop/ballard one. It's like they're the jack of all genres (now), master of none.
-
I bet they have enough good bsides to release an entire retail cd if they broke up or went on hiatus that Warner could release.
-
You are one of the most ignorant people on this forum. I'm pretty sure I've never heard you say a single positive thing.
Explain how ATS is not pop. If you read all of my posts, you'd see that I'm not always pessimistic.

Not sure if serious.
