And besides that I'm pretty tired of What I've done and still don't like MTG, I completely agree with this.

You are probably missing my point somehow, maybe I didn't write it right. I meant that it would be a shame that a long, quite boring song (sorry, it's just over and over again the same melodies, with no spectacular sound effects or vocal highlights) would replace singles OR oldies. To be honest, I agree with you. I can't stand that songs like Burn it Down, WFTE, WID are played all the time, while they have a huge amount of great songs that haven't been played for a long time. By Myself, Figure.09, From the Inside, No More Sorrow, WTCFM, ALTNC or even High Voltage, And One or Step up. No, all we get is Burn it Down, over and over again. What I meant is that IF they dropped some of these singles, it would be a shame that they put a song like MTG on that spot. Some hardcore fans love the jamm-feeling of it, but for a concert it's a long and boring song in my opinion. No need to call anything you disagree with "The dumbest thing you've ever heard". Why would you talk like that to someone you don't know?

Hoping for you guys that you will have a great time, and hopefully we will see some pictures/stories on LPL. Really curious about it. I know how it feels to wait such a long time for your favorite band. I saw LP back in 2007 on Pinkpop, but somehow festival-performances don't count in my opinion. It was a great concert, but the audience was not that great, the performance was in daylight etc. Finally LP has their own concert, for the first time since 2001, when I was too young according to my parents haha. -

No I meant that the summit is kind of an extended meet and greet. Not just a meet and greet, but extended with things like a backstage tour, Q&A etc. -

Oh damn, sorry. But still... $200 for an extended meet and greet all together, and then that price for multiple persons. Ahhh f*cking doubt. -

Thanks for your clear info. Sounds like a must have for every die hard fan (They are my favourite band since 2001). Only problem is that it might get quite expensive. Since the LPU wasn't that great a few years in a row, but the prices became higher, I refused to renew my membership. Only thing really affordable was an online pass, but I never had a reason to do that. I'm not that much into chatting with other fans on a daily base and stuf, and just became a member for the CD and special shirt. But now I'm considering to take an online pass. So that membership will be $20, with $120 for the Summit Pass (based on the New York summit prices), besides €60 for my ticket. So that's like $225 all together, and it isn't even sure that you definatly will get a Summit Pass, because of sold-outs and stuff... So I'm in real doubt. -
Really hoping for Keys to the Kingdom here in Europe in November. Hopefully some (full length) oldies like With You, A Place for my Head or From the Inside will be present too. To be honest, I hope they won't play All for Nothing, War and Mark the Graves. Ever. I understand that people want to hear some songs performed at least once, but they have way to many songs to choose from. And personally I would find it a shame if they dropped a good song or a rarely performed "oldie", and played Mark the Graves. Way too boring for the audience. Probably some hardcore fans around here would go wild, but if you play in front of 25.000 people, you can't sacrifice some oldies or singles to pleasure 22 guys who are attending the concert, or people on the internet who discuss everynight's setlists.

http://www.ticketmaster.nl/event/linkin-park-tickets/134369 Like you can see here on the official ticketpage of The Netherlands, you can't. Officialy it's sold out. Maybe you can find some people on the internet who are selling their tickets, but I don't know if it's safe. I got one question: Does somebody have a real good summary of what a LPU Summit is? I've seen a lot of videos, but the LPU doesn't describe it well... Something like a meet and greet and a backstage tour? -

I guess you're right about the fact that it's not that fun to play a festival like Download in daylight, but personally I completely disagree with bashing this mix. I like this way more than what we've heared over the last years. Ever since the release of the DSP's the complete Linkin Park live experience was gone for me. All the mixes were so awful that the only LP-performances I wanted to hear were the ones who weren't mixed by Pooch (if it was him who mixed the DSP's). Probably he is a nice guy, and I don't mean to offend anyone, but I just don't like the flat mixing: the guitar has been tuned down and isn't there anymore, Chester sounded like shit and the rest wasn't that great too. Really happy with this mixing and sound. Finally some energy like in the old days.

One step closer -
I know they aren't gonna play this, but God this would be perfect (at least for me ). As a set, I know for sure it would work really well haha. ACT I 1. Summoning + With You 2. Rebellion 3. Points of Authority 4. From the Inside (Short) 5. One step Closer (2004 Reanimated version) ACT II 6. Keys to the Kingdom 7. Papercut (2004 Ext. Intro) 8. Wastelands 9. Castle of Glass Experience 10. Breaking the Habit 11. Numb 12. In the End (2004 Ext. Intro; Ext. Bridge) 13. Faint (Ext. Outro) ACT III 14. Until it's gone (Ext. The Catalyst + No More Sorrow Intro; Ext. Outro Transition) 15. A Light that never comes (Short) 16. Lost in the Echo (Short) 17. Mr. Hahn solo 18. Final Masquerade (Ext. Intro) 19. A Line in the Sand ACT IV 20. Victimized (Ext. Intro) 21. Figure.09 (Ext. Intro) 22. A Place for my Head (Ext. Bridge; Ext. Outro) 23. Bleed it out (Ext. Intro; Ext. Bridge w/ Drum Solo + The Catalyst Refrain; Ext. Ending) Edit: Knowing Linkin Park for all these years -> If they even ever used this set, too bad they would change the next things for sure: 1. Open with Guilty all the same instead of With You 2. Given Up would take Rebellion's spot 3. Waiting for the End would replace Breaking the Habit 4. What I've done would replace Victimized 5. Crawling would replace Figure.09

Your Top 10 Favourite Linkin Park songs
Kruspe replied to RiderSSPU's topic in Everything Linkin Park
. 10. Nobody's Listening: Beginning with my least favorite of my top-10, I have to say from the minute I heard this song, I was addicted to the Japanese flute. It makes the song. Besides that I really like the beat which is in the background during the rap part, and coming to the front in Chester's chorus. 9. Castle of Glass: I'm not a huge fan of Mike singing (except for Pushing me Away Reanimation ofcourse), but in this song it works really well. Quite a soft song, but I like it very much. 8. Rebellion: This was one of the songs I didn't expect to be this great. When I read the song discriptions here on LPL, I thought it would totally flop to combine the deep songs of LP - with a huge amount of different layers - with the easy punk of System of a Down. Don't get me wrong, since I really like Serj Tankian, I kinda like SOAD. But in the end, it worked out amazing. Heavy rythym, catchy sample, great lyrics and vocal lines, and a wild screaming bridge. Love it! 7. Points of Authority: This is my number seven, because of it's performance nowadays. It's a pretty great song on the album, and always works well live, but unfortunally it doesn't have the energy of the early days anymore (like almost all LP songs) with Chester screaming the Learned, learned, learned-part. Nevertheless, always a great song to hear live and on the album. 6. A Light that never comes: I'm probably the only one who really likes this song. I'm not a great fan of electro-music, but here it works really well. Somehow this song is one of the only songs who remind me of the old LP in the last 8 years. Some amazing techno samples, a hard beat, Mike rapping, Chester with a catchy chorus. Works really well live too, so I got to say I'm in love. 5. From The Inside: The Meteora song with summarizes LP the most: a sample as an intro, chester singing, Mike rapping, rough and catchy chorus and a really wild screaming bridge. This is LP at it's best on Meteora (somehow a disliked album on this fansite). 4. Papercut: Is there actually an LP-fan who doesn't love Papercut? Man, I gotta say this song never bores. The video, the song, the lyrics, the live performance... It's awesome! Completely earned the spot of opening song of my favorite album ever. 3. Breaking The Habit: Instrumentally the best LP song imo, by far. Mike worked for like six years on this song, and you can hear that in every possible way. Ofcourse, Chester's lyrics and vocals are great and give the finishing touch to this song, but the instrumental is what makes this song so special. The chords, the sample, the build up to the bridge... It all fits together like it couldn't be done better, even if they would work on it for 25 more years. 2. In The End: This was the song that made me an LP fan. Or should I say addict? I heard of Linkin Park before, and liked those songs like Crawling and Papercut when they were on MTV (back in the days, when they were still broadcasting music), but when I saw this video as an eleven-year old kid, I was in love. With the video, with the song and with the band. So I rushed the same day to a CD-store, and bought Hybrid Theory. No bullshit: Untill Meteora came out and learned how to download demo's (Carousel, Part of me etc.) on programs like Kazaa, I listened to this CD every day. In fact, I listened to it so much, that the CD was broken because of overplaying it. I had to buy a new one because I loved it so much, and it's still my all-time favorite album. 1. With You: Like I said, HT is my favorite album, and this is my favorite song of that album. Man, I love the intro, the Mr. Hahn solo in the bridge, the chilling and dark flow in Mikes raps, and Chesters rough voice during the song. And just when I thought it couldn't get any better, I heard the live version on LPU 2.0. I was blown away... I think With you as a concert opener with the C'mon part is one of the best things that ever happened in music history. With you... My favorite LP song since my In the End-mania cooled down a little bit, for almost 13 years now. Honorable Mention: 11. One Step Closer 12. A Place for my Head 13. High Voltage 14. A Line in the Sand 15. Until it's gone 16. Lost in the Echo 17. Easier to Run 18. And One 19. Figure.09 20. Keys to the Kingdom -
